"Eeeee...."
*The two hit a soft patch of moss, which seemingly had shifted to the right slightly to catch them. The majority of the trees seemed to have pulled away from their path, as if they had gotten up, taken a step to one side, and sat back down.*
"The last time you tackled me we ended up making a nice big crop circle, hate to see what'd do in here."
*He chuckled slightly as the two rose to their feet.*
"I think I'd be more apt to get hurt from you tackling me than flying or running....anyway, the Tree isn't far, just a hop skip and a jump really, take my hand, we're gonna run, and when I say 'now,' close your eyes and concentrate on me and our hands."
*The two lovers' hands became intertwined once more, he was gripping her hand a bit more tightly than normal. The path before them seemed to flatten out a bit with a small obstacle down a ways, the Tree visible far in the distance. With a deep breath and exhale Torment slowly began to run, trying to keep pace with Kalie, small blue flames flying off from the tips of his hair as a blue light seemed to run through Torment's hand into Kalie's. Her vision tinted grey slightly for a moment as a tingling sensation ran through the both of them. As they reaches the log that had been placed as an obstacle he quickly yelled out now and a burst of wind pushed out from below his feet.*

*Softly laughing her eyes glimmered with an impish playfulness, her hand tightly locked within his. A faint rhythmic thump could be herd echoing through the dense vine entangled branches, as they wove their way through the trees. The gentle winds giving Kalie's hair flight just as her hand tightened it's grip on Torment's, her mind shifting her attention from the tangle of trees and log up a head to their interlocked hands at his word.*
*A near weightless feeling taking over, both Kalie and Torment surpassing the fallen log, a light breeze created in their passing the only thing interrupting the tranquil world living around and within it.*
*Landing again, with a brief stumble across a soft bed of leafy green moss, her hand carefully felt for the flower tucked within her raven locks, finding the carefully sculpted petals still intact, a ghost of a smile came over her face, her hand loosening from Tor's.*

*As she pulled away he pulled his hand back as well, small arcs of energy running across it. He closed his eyes and turned his head to the side as a shudder ran through him for a moment. He glanced towards the tree, it seemed much closer than he would have thought it should be at the moment, but disregarded it as he turned back to Kalie.*
"Now just think how it might feel to fly for extended periods of time. Soaring through the clouds with nothing aiding or hindering you but whats inside."
*He paused as the forcebubble that was holding the flower to be planted caught up to the two of them. A sign of fatigue ran across his face for a moment as he plucked the forcebubble from the air.*
"For the rest of the rather short trip, lets just walk...."

*Noticing the 'drain' that rippled across his features, her brows furrowed. Stepping closer, she ran the tips of her middle and index finger down his cheek, the depths of her eyes casting shadows within the dark blue pools.*
"For that.. I'd almost be afraid, of the toll it would take on you.. "
*The softness in her voice fading, she nodded glancing in the direction of the tree*
"Walking would probably best.. for a little while.."

*He ran his right hand through her hair as she ran her fingers down his cheek, taking her free hand in his other after tucking the forcebubble under his arm. Off in the distance towards the razor fields, though the majority of the suns were still high in the air, the white and blue were nearing the horizon which was clearly seen through the open forest path that had seemed to spread open before them, and remained open behind. He rested his forehead against hers for a moment, it felt slightly cooler than normal.*
"Never in my years could I have hoped for one to so much as care whether I existed beyond on a wanted poster, much less take into consideration my well being. Whatever I did to deserve you must have indeed been something grand."
*He lifted his forehead from hers and gave her a light kiss on the lips. Without another word he slipped his fingers from hers and ran his hand down her back to the small of her back and started walking towards the Tree.*

*Standing spellbound, she nearly lost sight of Torment from within the surrounding trees, the gentle yet firm pressure of her fingertips pressing to her lips pulling her back to the world around. She could still feel the kiss and the sincerity in his words, if in memory alone as her hand fell to her side, the density of the plant life swallowing her already softened words as she found her voice.*
"Can I really help it..if I like you better alive and happy?"
*Catching a lone ray from the setting suns through the leafy foilage, Kalie blocked the light from her eyes, and hurridly ran after Tor, gradually catching up to him.. the tree lying only a few feet away from her.*

*As they approached the Tree, Torment remained in silence. He took several steps forward and places his hand on the trunk, sending a pulse of green light rippling below the surface. The mere touch seemed to brighten the tree as if some force deep within were awakened. With one hand on the trunk he kneeled down next to it, clearing away some dead leaves to reveal the rich soil below. A small section of the dirt parted for the coming flower as Torment slowly chanted in some long forgotten language, a dialect of druidic. He was praising Nature and asking her for both a blessing on the flower, himself, and Kalie. As the Bladed Rose is planted fully veins of green energy work their way through the ground and become one with the small flower, giving it the strength it would need to grow and forever prosper. Even just before them the new species of flower began to grow exponentially, finding rootholds in the Tree itself and traveling up the trunk a short distance. With the sound of a sword leaving it's sheathe, dozens upon dozens of the Bladed Roses bloomed and remained, forever to be kept in their state by the Tree, while others elsewhere would be allowed to grow normally.*

*Coming up from behind, Kalie knelt down behind Torment, her raven locks spilling over his shoulder as her chin hovered just above. The druidic language, though holding no tangible meaning, and sound of his voice leaving her at peace.*
"They're beautifull.."
*Leaning up, her lips softly met his cheek, leaving a ghost of a kiss before Kalie carefully scooted from around him to veiw the vines scaling the tree trunk before her, blooms opening a new with a soft metal chime, her fingertips lifting to dust the pristine petals, unfurling from one of several roses now blooming..*
"I only hope.. they never wither and die.."

*He remained staring at ther ground for a few moments, lost in watching the original flower be consumed by the mass of growthe around it that had originally stemmed from it.*
"Please, touch them not. They are quite sharp, and unlike the Razor Grass, they cut any who touch the petals."
*He slowly rose to his feet and took Kalie's hand that had been reaching out towards the petals, kissing the fingertips once before releasing it, a small spark left behind by the kiss.*
"Like love itself, they may be pure, but when one tampers with it, they can be cut to the bone."
*His demeanor is slightly...odd. He seems almost distant, almost...cold. Kalie would be able to feel a stirring of some sort of emotion within her, unbidden, the cause unknown. Torment himself was experiencing a slight blurriness in vision as his eyes were becoming a dull grey, losing the purple aspect to them. His skin would feel increasingly cool to the touch, mirroring his attitudes. He turned away from Kalie as he pressed his fingers to his eyes and let out a staggered exhale. There was no longer any arcs of blue energy jumping between the spikes of his hair and nowhere within it could the slightest hint of flame be found.*

*Having paused at his forbidding words, she curiously gazed into the purple of his eyes, her gaze unwavering as his hand guided her's away from the potential harm inflicting blossoms. As the tiny spark danced and dwindled on the raised portion of her index finger, Kalie's expression flickered with amusement at the tiny 'burst' of life..the smile fading as her eyes rose back to her love... finding his apperence almost sickly.. a pale silver having replaced the violet beauty of his iris'.*
"Tor..."
*Slowly rising, she carefully pried Torment's hands from his face, the initial cold shock not causing her harm.. but throwing her for a loop mentally.. he was never cold.. burning up or a living breathing inferno, in some cases..but not on the verge of ice. Afraid she had harmed him in some way.. the unsummoned emotion became intwined in a power struggle for control, against the fear spawned one within her.*
"Torment.."

*He began to sway back and forth as he slowly slumped to the groud, weakened in mind, body, and most of all, soul.*
"Is this what actual death feels like....something beyond my temporary escapes I return from without harm...?"
*He stared at his hand, the tips having become a light blue. His hair seemed to be losing its shape and flattening out. His eyes were as two grey pools, becoming naught but two lifeless orbs.*
"This can't be the end....I was going to ask you to ...I...."
*He paused for a moment as he lifted his arm weakly and ran a hand through her hair*
"Kalie, cut me, I need to know I still live...that I still bleed...if I even still love..."

*Having lowered to the ground with him, as he wavered and fell.. to weak to support himself. Kalie sat with her arms twined around Torment, or the ghost like shell that remained, afraid that he would cease to exist entirely if she let go of him, even for an instant.*
*At his bidding she glanced over her shoulder taking hold of a dark green steam, her fingers curled around the base of one of the deadly roses he bid her not to touch moments ago. What better way to see if one truly lived, bled, and felt? then to test it against the same flower that bloomed from one's own love.*
*Not caring if the tangle of vines held thorns to slice as deeply as the petals that fanned out from the middle in a raidant red or not, Kalie snaped the flower from it's dwelling, carefully laying the rose petals in his hand. Her own gently pressing his hand shut around the razor sharp flower within.. the pressure slowly increasing...*

*The Bladed Roses seemed to reach out to Kalie as she reached for them, making it nigh impossible to not get cut at least once.Beyond the razor sharp petals there were no thorns upon the stems, but getting to a position o pluck the flower because of the density of flowers was their main defense.*
*At first the petals seemed to become squashed in their hands, not cutting anything, but with the sound of metal cutting through flesh, the petals drove themselves deeply into Torment's hand. As the blood from Kalie's cuts mingled with the blood that was flowing from Torment's hands thin wisps of light escaped from the bloody mixture, hardly noticable to the eye. He seemed to be whispering something, but the language was that of a race long since forgotten to this world and all others, having both auran and draconic influences. Brief screeching noises accompanied the whispers as his eye twitched. A warm wind blew through the area as his hair seemed to perk up slightly, the spikes swaying in the wind like a rigid flame. With a small burst of normal flame from his hair a blue flame ran across the ground and Torment's eyes shot open, a vibrant purple with blue energy running through the inside of his eye as seen through the pupil. He pulled his hands from hers as the aura of blue flames died, discarding the petals and taking her hand in his uninjured one, the other slowly healing itself.*
"The Inferno Within.....it burns for you."
*He ran his lips across the skin of her hand lightly, kissing the wounds left by the Bladed Roses as the wounds closed in their entirety.*

*Taking a deep breath of relief, Kalie brightened at the flames and warmth rushing into her lover's body, more then happy to find Tor back to his 'enflamed' self.*
*Smiling, Kalie lifted and ran her free hand through his hair.. her lips pressing to his forehead with a soft chuckle. The other hand breaking free of the healing kisses to gently cup his face as she leaned down to whisper in his ear, the soft sound of her voice on the brink of pleading.*
"As that may be.. I think the inferno needs to rest."
"Weather it be here.. surrounded by life, within my arms ..or in our bed, you need to rest Torment... please."

"I think I'd really rather perfer that laying here in your arms thing over anything anyway. Well, that and I kinda forgot where we were going..."
*The trees nearby seemed to move to form a small secluded spot, seemingly just for the two of them. Between the trees long vines flowed forth from the upper branches unseen down to the ground and outward a ways like a living carpet. They intertwined to form a wall of sorts, giving utmost privacy. With a soft popping sound a small boulder rolled up out of the ground and became a beanbag-pillow type...thing... and positioned itself behind Kalie while Tor shifted slightly to lay his head in her lap to gaze up into her eyes. Something was gnawing at the back of his mind, but he'd prefer to let Kalie get comfortable before just ramnling on.*
