Drana smiled. She liked this person. "Darker colors for me. They absorb sunlight."
Orous nodded once. "My name is Orouborous, and this undersized halfbreed is Drana."
Drana glared at Orous. b***h.
I love you too.

Aiodhan flicked one pointed ear. "Dark colors are good, too, but Amyla would never agree to that." He gave Drana a curious look. "Halfbreed of what? Another dragon?"
Caleb giggled madly as Amyla gave Aiodhan a patented look of frustration before returning her attention to their new acquaintances. "A pleasure to meet you both. If you're here shopping, may I assume you're expecting a child?"

Drana tilited her head and smirked. The sound of soft ripping was heard as her wings almost exploded from her back. "I would think so."
Orous smiled. "Same to you." It was his nature to avoid questions a bit.

Aiodhan was taken aback. That was a neat trick. "So, do you just put them away when you're not using them?" he asked curiously. He eyed one of his wings. His didn't do that.
Sensing that perhaps she was treading on sensitive territory, Amyla left it be. Perhaps it wasn't good to push.
Caleb watched Orous with wide-eyed curiosity. "Eeeeehooooo?"

Drana nodded. "Mmm-hmm. Very convientient when riding a subway or something." Airplane, subway, train, carridge.... anything with a seat, really.
Orous smiled and tlited his head. Unfortunetly, this gave anyone looking at his face a clear view of what looked like the mummy of doom.

"I can imagine. Wish mine could do that," Aiodhan said, pursing his lips thoughtfully. He really needed to investigate and see if he could do that. It would make his life a great deal easier.
Had she been alone, Amyla might have been frightened by Orous' face. With Aiodhan present, though, she felt quite secure, if a little wary.
Caleb, however, was not old enough to understand fear or danger and simply babbled happily at the bandaged male, waving a hand at him.

"Ya probably can, ya know..." She never met a dragon halfie that couldn't. Not that she met many halfies, of course, but he could probably. "You ever drink through a straw before?"
Orous smirked at her increased heart rate. Ignoring the aching of his fangs, he asked calmly, "Is something wrong?"

"I don't think so. I'm not exactly a natural hybrid," Aiodhan commented with a slight sigh. Her next question completely threw him off balance. "Uhh... yes. Plenty of times, why?"
Amyla raised an eyebrow. "No."
Caleb made a chortling sound and wiggled in his mother's arms, eager to see this new and strange person.

"Psh. That has nothin' to do with it." Drana grinned broadly. "'Cause you halfta suck your wings into your back. Closest (kid-appropriate) thing that's like it is drinking the last bit of drink with a straw."
Orous stood up straight and cocked his head, hints of red (and I mean RED) hair peeking through the bandages. "Mmm-hmmm."

Aiodhan blinked. "Yes, well, it's not just the wings that are the problem," he said, waving about the tip of his tail. Suck in his wings? Gee, maybe he better try that later, when he didn't have an audience. "Hunh. Well, I suppose I can try it. Thanks."
Amyla's eyebrow rose even further. "If you're trying to look frightening, you're really not succeeding."
Caleb emphasized her point by giggling and waving both hands at Orous.

Drana nodded. "No prob. Wings were hell on a horse carridge." Oops.
Orous kept his head tilited. "Of course not. It's practical." He grinned at Caleb and waved his gloved hand at him.
Drana glanced at Orous. You being weird again?

"Horse carraige??" Aiodhan asked, pulling a face. He hated carriages. "You're much braver than I am."
Amyla gave a slow nod whilst Caleb giggled and waved back at this person. In the infant's opinion, this male was most amusing.

Drana shrugged. "They're not that bad, really.... annoying, but not bad..." She had riden in them a bit. At least they had SEATS.
Orous grinned as a pinkish-gray tougue stuck out through the white wrappings in the general direction of Caleb. All in play, really.

Cars were annoying. Carraiges were just plain bad. Aiodhan shuddered and shook his head. No, no carraiges for him. "Gaaah, speaking of riding things, I need to remember to get the extra carseat out of the garage," he said, adding that to his mental checklist.
Amyla was not surprised to see the male stick his tongue out at Caleb. Aiodhan did that at every baby he met. Why would any other male be different?
Caleb chortled and imitated, sticking his bright pink tongue out at Orous. Silly man!
