Chowder88 it stayed true to the story line, for the most part. but some of the casting was a bit dissappointing. overall it seemed like it could've been better.

I liked the movie... after I got used to it...
And I agree, I didn't like Ren, he just didn't seem to fit the character... and I definitely did NOT like Shin... the actor they got, just wasn't charismatic enough to play Shin... it just didn't seem right...
otherwise, the other characters were perfect, I thought mrgreen

I loved it. Almost cried a couple times. There were at least a couple guys that I thought should've been better looking, but I still love the movie none the less.

Shin's casting is still bad in my opinion.
he's supposed to be hot.
and look like he's at least 1/2 Japanese.
same with Reira.
That's a big part of both of their characters.
but i guess...with only two parts of the movie, they're leaving the details out for those two.
