Woo! I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. ^^ Congrats.
I would like to become an official 'student', please Ms. Lex.
I have a question. Do the.. suits, I suppose (like swords and pentacles) have an element assigned to them? The other day, I kept getting swords. >_>;
Also.. this isn't so much a question, but I'd still like to get an opinion on it: I did a style of reading with Jess, where we spread the cards out and hovered our hands over it, generally picking whichever felt 'warm' - to indicate energy. One card (I've forgotten which sweatdrop ) felt so warm, that I actually thought I had burnt my hand. It was that hot.. I'm guessing this means it was the 'right' card? If so - then why weren't the other cards doing that? Ack, it did turn out to be a question. ^^;

--aurellion-- I have a question. Do the.. suits, I suppose (like swords and pentacles) have an element assigned to them? The other day, I kept getting swords. >_>; They are not element based, unless you are using an element deck. Quote: Also.. this isn't so much a question, but I'd still like to get an opinion on it: I did a style of reading with Jess, where we spread the cards out and hovered our hands over it, generally picking whichever felt 'warm' - to indicate energy. In a reading all cards react differently, the stronger the cards comes across the more dominate the feeling is. At different times, different cards will react due to the situation time of the year and what you are trying to find out. Each card is different and has a different meaning, so they all are going to react in different ways.

Hey all. I'm Elspeth, and I've worked with the tarot before. I have two decks: the Robin Woods deck and the Hansen-Roberts deck.
Question: I have on occasion come across one of the 'title' cards in my readings. I've been told by friends of mine who work with the tarot that this means I shouldn't continue with the reading because I'm not ready for what's beyond it. Is this true, or should I continue with the reading next time this happens?

Is this true, or should I continue with the reading next time this happens? Well, before I answer the question, which deck does this happen in more often, and how long has this been going on? Also, how long have you been working with that particular deck? Getting "title" cards isn't always a bad sign, it maybe a good thing. Having title cards in a reading can be a bad thing or a good thing depending on the situation. If you haven't been experinced enough with tarot, getting "title" cards could be a sign, it depends on experince level! However, if you have been experienced, and have a pretty good feeling about what you are reading, then continue on.

ForbidenFaeryDesire Well, before I answer the question, which deck does this happen in more often, and how long has this been going on? Also, how long have you been working with that particular deck? It happens more in my Hansen-Roberts deck, but has happens a few times with my Robin Woods deck. I have noticed that as I get more comfortable with the cards, and therefore they with me, the "title" cards haven't shown up as often. So is it mostly a way for the deck to tell you to learn more about the cards before continuing with trying to read them?
