the original blue blade liger and the cammand wolf, but the shadow fox isn't bad eitther but for liger zero it would be the original cas and the schneider.

... ... Blade Liger. xD; Best Zoid evar. Not just because it like kicks butt in the anime, I don't really care about that. o__O; I use it in all my japanese zoid games and it kicks even greater butt, even without anything added on. xD; The Murasame Liger is also pretty nifty. :3 ... ... and the Rayse Tiger. That Laser Nest attack thing kicks major a**. 8D;

I really love the design of the Blade Liger. I dunno why... I think it's the "whiskers". It makes it look more... aerodynamic. XD

I'd say...
For maximum explosive power: Liger Panzer
Maximum defense: gojulas giga
For speed: Lightning saix
For close combat: Liger 0 or Blade liger.
For overall good zoid: Konig wolf.
Liger panzer is not good for fast, close combat battles.
Gojulas giga has great armor, but that, like panzer, makes it slow as well.
Lightning saix is fast but causes only a little damage at a time if not equip with nice guns.
Liger 0, has only one range weapon. Blade Liger only has one range weapon as well.
Konig wolf has speed, close combat weapon (claws) and can have a high powered gun on it without really hurting its speed.

Energy Liger is faster than the Saix, has super powerful guns and melee weapons that makes most zoids want to cry :p
There's also the Brastle Tiger which could very feasibly outgun the Liger Zero Panzer and the Rayse Tiger has melee weapons which outshine both Liger Zero and Blade Liger xp Oh and for the record, the Blade Liger has two sets of ranged weapons, three if you include the CP-12 Attack Booster Unit. Both Gojulas Giga and Liger Zero Panzer are decently fast as well despite what the anime says.

I dunno about any beyond New Century (want to, but don't). In terms of "normal" zoids (not Ultimate X, nor Deathoids), I say the best zoid would probably be the ShadowFox. (It has high maneuverability and decent offense.) Defense, probably Gustav. Offense, Iron Kong. Maneuverability, ShadowFox. Speed, Saix or Raynos. (These are guesses, mind you.)
Ultimate X, really depends if you want to take the time to change the armor to the sitch. If you don't mind, Liger Zero. I prefer Fury because one weapon it has (the Buster blades) have both short range (the blades), long range (buster cannon, the gun in the center of the blades), and super-long range (Charged Particle Cannon).
Death Stinger is probably the stronger of the Deathoids. What with the lava thing and the fact that it's harder to peirce its zoidcore (unlike Death Saurer).
Plus, ... well, spoilers, so nevermind. :3 But as others have said, it's hard to say what the best zoid is, because they're all good in their own right.
