Moon sat in her armchair in her small apartment, a mountain of used tissues covered the coffee table beside her. It was three days now since the doctor had told her she would be unable to have children. That moment has shatterred her life, Moon badly wanted to have a child to care for and give meaning to her empty life. Her life that now we even more empty as her partner of two years had left her after he found out the news. But that didnt bother her too much as their relationship was going downhill fast anyway. Moon sighed and pushed herself out of her chair, walking pointlessly to the kitchen bench to make a cup of hot chocolate. She had just turned on the urn when she noticed something on the front page of that days paper. Curiously she peered at the small ad "D-corp, Soaring to new achievements.." she whispered as she read the title. The article seemed to be about some kind of adoption agency and at the very bottom was a number to call. Pulling herself together she picked up the phone, thinking to herself that if she could not have a baby of her own she could still adopt a baby and give it the love and care that it deserved. Her heart raced as she dialled the number her hands shakily pressing the numbers. As the phone rung Moon began to have second thought of how would any adoption agency want her to be a parent, most places would want the child to have two parents... But she decided to press on. At last, a voice on the other end of the phone answered and moon relaxed a little. Moon was unsure what to do as she had never done anything like this before. "Uhmm, Hello? I- I saw your ad in the paper..." she stumbled over the words. But the voice on the other end of the phone seemed to be understanding, or atleast seeming that way. "Ah good" the voice replied, "would you like to come down to the building this afternoon to see if your a suitable parent and also to have a look at our lovely children?" Moon's heart skipped a beat "Oh yes that would be wonderful, around what time?" she wrapped her fingers in the phone wire awaiting the reply. "How does three sound?" the voice replied and moon beamed, "Sounds wonderful, My name is Moon La'Vixene". "Wonderful Ms La'Vixene, we look forward to meeting you." the voice replied and bid her farewell. Moon was so excited she did not know what to do. She quickly rushed into her bedroom to get showered and dressed ready for the interview, then she rushed out and tore the ad from the paper to get the adress and dialled a cab. The cab arrived fifteen minutes later and moon was on her way.

[Continued from above...] The cab seemed to drive for ages, How far away could this D-corp place really be? no wonder the cab drives eyes had glinted when she had told him where to go, this trip was going to cost her a bucketload! but she didnt care about money, Moon couldnt stop thinking about how she could have her very own child soon, someone she could love and care for. She was so happy she could cry and she hadent even been accepted as a parent yet. Finally the cab pulled to a stop outside a strange looking building that seemed to be in the middle of the desert. Moon blinked a few times, it was a tad bit strange but hey the surroundings were pretty in their own unique way. Moon talked with the cab driver and payed him half the fee and asked him to wait so he could drive her home in a little while. Then she walked inside the building... The D-corp building was very VERY strange like nothing Moon had ever seen before it was all very high tech for some kind of an orphanage. She walked up to the reception desk and said that she had arrived for her interview. She was asked to take a seat in a small waiting room, it was a cozy little room with lots of nice pictures of animals on the walls, Moon liked this room. After a short while moon was greeted by some of the workers and walked into a sort of conferrance room where all her dsetails were taken and she was asked many questions, it was all very confidential and some of the questions were really wuite.. obsurd. But the workers told moon she had passed with flying colours and they had a child in need of a caring parent that was just perfect for her. Moon was so excited about meeting this child, she could already feel her motherly instinct activating, getting ready to love this child with all her heart. Moon was taken back to the cozy waiting room and was told that the child would be brough in in a few minutes. -What seemed like forever passed..- Moon was fiddling with a frayed thread on her skirt when the workers returned. When she saw them she jumped up and straightened out her clothes. After the workers walked a small girl with the shyest look on her face...that was covered in ... silky fur? Moons felt a great warmth towards this child but her brain couldnt get over the fact that she looked to be part... Shetland sheepdog? Now she understood what the questions in the room had all been about. Everything made sence.. Well the major things anyway. Moon dropped down onto one knee so she was at eye level with the small girl. "Hello there gorgeous, My name is Moon, I have been chosen to be your new mummy, Is that alright with you? Can you tell me your name?" Moon held out her arms welcomingly to the small child. The girl blushed and slowly walked to the new woman and stood infront of her "M-my name Delta" she quietly whispered a small smle crept onto her face "I want you be my nice mummy" then she waled closer to Moon and gave her a warm hug. Moon felt as if she could fly, tears of joy were streaking down her cheeks "Welcome to the family Delta, I promise to take the very best care of you." She hugged Delta and picked her up holding her on her hip. The workers took Moon into the room again and sorted out the rest of the details and informed her of what things delta needed to do as she got older. Moon could have sworn she even heard the idea of 'dragons' being mentioned a few times but she was too happy to really think about it. She was a mum now and that was the only thing that mattered to her... Her Delta, her baby.

Conspiracy D-corp fun, for the 'behind the scenes' info.. Arafel D-corp has a survelance on hospitals, jails, date-lines, you name it. And thus, when a potentially easy-to-get parent comes along, their little reference list gets pinged. Moon would have been one of the perfect pings on that, being barren and all. It would have been filed down under her medical files, and then bam... Straigh to Dcorp. With that in mind, they would then do some more background checks, cross referncing with whatever else they could find on her, eventually getting a vauge Idea of her personality... The rest was easy, picking out a child that wouldn't be too potentially dangerous, and then getting her TO D-corp. The blackmail way wouldn't work on her in this case, however.. under her circumstance, they figured she'd come willingly. So, being hte bored techs they were and unable to get out much... They tracked down the general newspaper that would be left the next day, added a few edits, and then with their ninja like stealth(( Alan: Wait, what now? >>)) replaced the newspapers. :B DUMDUMDUM. I wouldn't be suprised if she had caught a glimpse of some guy in a labcoat bolting down the road when she went ouside, and paid him no mind. XD XD!

-Homework Session One-(Written from Moon's POV) Its been a week now since I became Delta's mother, one glorious week. Everything is going great and i feel that she is settling in really well, but she still feels awkward calling me mummy I guess, but thats to be expected. Today delta came and showed me some homework sheets that she had been assigned to do over a period of time and we decided to make a start on them. Delta was so excited, she seems to be very good at art and she loves using pretty colours. So when the homework was colouring in she couldnt stop grinning. We decided to do the first letters sheet today and also the numbers, Delta even wanted to write her own name (with a little help) She is such a smart girl for her age! Anyway here are the sheets she completed today, arent they wonderful? ABC And yes, I know the 'C' is meant to be a camel, but Delta disagree's and thinks that theres no such thing as a camel and it is most definately a cow. and yes.. Brown teeth. I must remember to tell her to never skip brushing her teeth! Brown teeth like in her picture arent attractive. Hmm, I need to buy her some new markers. She wears them out so quick. -Moon

-Homework Session Two-(Third person POV) Delta lay in her bed, snuggly tucked in with her blankets. She did not really feel like getting up this morning but was unsure why. Her nose felt hot and she felt worn out an woozy even though she had just woken up. Today she and her mum were meant to be going to the local market to pick out a pumpkin to carve for Halloween and also to have a look for some materials for her costume. Delta had been really looking forward to today and had been planning her costume all week. Slowly she wriggled up to a sitting position in her bed and cleared her dry through to call out to her mum who she could hear preparing breakfast in the kitchen. "Mu-" she cryed out but her voice sounded more like a croaky growl, and she stopped calling in shock. She was losing her voice, Again she tried to call out.. "Muum!" she croaked hoping she had been loud enough. Then she rubbed her throat because it was all raspy and sore. Moon from in the kitchen only just heard her daughters cry and stopped mixing the pancake mixture and quickly walked into Delta's room "Good morning Dee" she smiled as she walked in to give her favorite girl a hug. Then when delta replied that she "Feeled Ikky" Moon comfortingly knelt beside the bed and felt Delta's face. Delta seemed far too hot so Moon decided she would go get the thermometer, "Hey Delta, just lay down for a while, mummy is going to go grab the thermometer and will be right back. I think you have a bit of a cold." Moon kissed delta on the cheek and rushed out into the kitchen once more to get out her first aid box to find her thermometer. Once she had it she rushed back into Delta's bedroom and told delta to kep the thermometer in her mouth for about a minute. Moon timed the minute on her wristwatch and when the time was up she checked it. "Hmm, The thermometer says your temperature is normal but i think you should have a day of resting today to heal your voice. It will be good for you, plus we can get the pumpkin tomorrow when your better hey?" Moon said apologetically. Delta nodded sadly and winced as her throught hurt again, delta didnt want to be stuck in bed all day with nothing to do though so she asked if she could do some "colowing in?" Moon nodded and smiled, This would be a good chance for Delta to do some more o fher ABC's and mabye get them finished. She went to the loungeroom and picked up the homework folder and the markers and went back to delta's room. "Lets prop you up in bed and you can colour in your ABC's from DEF to YZ?" moon asked. Delta grinned and nodded, she loved to colour in the pretty letters and pictures. so happily she sat up in bed and coloured.. DEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

A child is expected to know certain things at certain ages. In order to obtain rights to their Dragon(egg), they must prove they can meet these requirements. The following sheet is for your child to fill out, with mild help from their guardian, then sent back to D-corp. (PM ot the mule) Also any changes, even minor such as haircuts, should be reported to the D-corp to be logged and filed. Thankyou, The Boss.

Delta's First Diary EntryDear Diary, This is my first time writing to you and I'm not quite sure what I should write. Mum says that I should just write whatever I am thinking or feeling, so thats what I'm going to do. Today is the 13th of December, only twelve more days till Christmas! Mum and I spent all this morning Decorating the place, It will be my first and last Christmas in this house as we are moving soon. Mum said that we needed a bigger place if I have to have a dragon (which I do! YAY!). We went looking at houses the other day and we found a perfect one too, I was the one that pointed it out in the paper. When we went to look at it me and mum fell in love with it straight away, It is the nicest little farm in an area really close to where we live now! Mum managed to talk to the bank or something and do all the grown up stuff but the thing is... We got it! When we move in its going to be so great, and mum said we might even get some other animals too (Partially to help feed the dragon..Which I don't really like the idea of.. but I guess its just life..). But anyway, Back to Christmas before I forget... Did I mention that I'm SO EXCITED!! Just putting up the little tree and hanging baubles and lights on it and also hanging mistletoe and tinsel everywhere really got me in the mood for the holidays. All of my presents for Mum are under the tree and all of her presents for me are under the tree, Oh! and I also got these two Special Bauble things from D-Corp, one that Mum got me and one that Arith and his Mum got me! I also bought Arith a Bauble from D-Corp because they are so pretty and apparently they 'hatch', but that happens after Christmas. Christmas shopping for Arith's present though really made me realize how few people I know. When I went to my Egg tour here were so many kids like myself but I really have trouble introducing myself as I get a strange feeling inside that says that they don't want to be my friends. With Arith it was easy since he is very similar to me, and our Mum's are best friends from a long time ago. I think my wish this Christmas will be to find and make a whole lot of new friends so that next Christmas I will be able to give so many more gifts than this year. Wow.. Now I understand why my Mum says that writing can really help you feel better. That stuff had been weighing on my mind for a long time. But anyway, on a happier note... EGG TOUR! A few days ago I got a message from D-Corp telling me it was my turn to go in with a group of other kids my age to meet my DRAGON! (well.. my dragon.. egg..) But it was so cool! Yeah at first it was a bit scary, I got there a little early and the only other person there was a girl that looked like some kind of lizard mix and she didn't really look friendly so I stayed with my mum until the scientist man came. The tour seemed to take forever to get to my egg but on the way I got to see some of the other eggs, one was even in ACID! But mine... Was perfect, I got to walk up and see it there in its nest of sand just gleaming a brilliant copper in the artificial light. I even got to hold my egg and when I did it was magical. The egg was quite a bit smaller then i expected but it was beautiful and perfectly smooth, and so huggable. And when I put my ear up to its hard shell I could have sworn I heard a faint heartbeat. I know when my dragon hatches we are going to be the best of friends, even if it does have to eat a lot of meat! I wish I knew the gender of my beautiful Copper Dragon so I could think up a name for it. But since I don't know I decided to think up a male name and a female name. But naming a dragon is harder than you would think, so Mum suggested I look on the net and search for dragon names so thats what I did and I came up with these: Male :: Ladon || Female :: Tanis I liked these two because the first, Ladon was the dragon that guarded Eris's golden Apple of discord, The story surrounding Ladon was quite interesting and the name just seemed to stick in my head. Tanis on the other hand I liked for its meaning, its Greek and it means Female Dragon. But also this name just seemed to stick to my mind. I cant wait to meet my dragon. I have been reading all of the information I can find about Copper dragons and what they like and dislike. I hope my dragon likes me as much as I'm going to like it. Oh, and me and my Mum are attempting to learn the Dragon language, but it is very difficult to pronounce all of the words and the meanings all get muddled. But I will do anything to make my dragon feel more at home and happy with me. Wow I really wrote quite a lot for my first diary entry and now my wrists hurt. I think thats all for today, I might write another entry on Christmas day to keep a record of all the wonderful things I got and if i have met any new friends, I hope i do... Will write again soon, Delta.

Moon's Journal EntryWritten as a status report to D-corp.To whom it may concern,This is my first time writing a status report about my adopted daughter Delta. She is the child that is a fusion of girl and a Shetland Sheepdog or Sheltie, just in case that needed to be included. Firstly I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, being Delta's parent. She is a wonderful child and I love her with all my heart, and without D-Corp I would never have met her. I admit it has been a strange journey so far getting acclimatised to being the parent of such a special child, like finding out that soon my household will need to accommodate a dragon. But again I wouldn't trade any of it for all the money in the world. But that I bet is not what these status reports are meant to be about. Delta Is a bright young girl, she is excelling at school in all of her subjects she is taking at the moment except maths where she is around average. I think in the future she will tend to lean away from things like maths though and branch out more into english and sport. Delta loves to read, especially fantasy and adventure novels but she also loves to read more informative things like books on animals and the more reliable books on dragons. Ever since she went into the D-Corp facilities for her Egg Tour Delta has been obsessed with uncovering all the information she can find on all types of dragons. But she especially researches her dragon, the copper dragon. Always telling me random copper dragon facts over breakfast, I only pray that she is not disappointed. But I doubt she will as she loves all creatures great and small, she even loves the creepy crawly kind. Since the last time a member of the D-Corp staff saw delta she has grown a fair bit although she still is short for her age and petite. Oh, and if this matters she has also lost most of her baby teeth and gained most of her adult teeth. It is hard to tell what is normal though as her teeth seem a mix of both canine and human. But she has not had any dental problems whatsoever so far and her teeth seem to be growing healthy and straight. I have noticed though that she does seem to be growing a bit of a thicker coat but I expect this is due to the cold and is nothing to worry about. One thing that I know D-corp needs to know though is that Delta and I will be changing address soon out of our current home and into our newly bought farmhouse. It isn't too far away from our current housing and is actually slightly closer to the D-corp building. More information about our new home such as the address is written on the note attached. The move is due to the fact that our current place was really only big enough for one person to live in, and two people and a dragon most certainly wont fit. Especially since Delta is a growing girl and her tiny room doesn't have nearly enough room and studying at the kitchen table is interrupted too often. The new place is a really nice farmhouse with plenty of room, theres even enough room for a few spare rooms. But mainly theres enough room for Delta to have a proper room with a desk and a computer and also theres a stable area attached to the house which can easily be converted into the dragons 'lair'. I'm only writing this so you can have confidence that Delta and the dragon will always be my first priority's and always get the best of care. Included also are the blueprints of the new house in case anyone is interested or they are needed for some reason. I assume this letter will be kept confidential between me and the people that need to read it at the D-corp facilities. All the best, Moon Vickson.*Attached to the letter are a few sheets of paper containing dentists reports, school reports, home addresses, phone numbers and the house blueprints.*

Delta's Christmas Diary Entry
Dear Diary,Its the end of Christmas now as I write to you, just about to head to bed so I will leave my entry short. Today was the best day of my life so far and there are many reasons why but mainly because... well... because of everything really. This morning I woke up to the tinkling of bells outside my bedroom luckily my mum was jingling nice bells and not some horrible grating ones. She still thinks I believe in Santa, but I learnt he was fake ages ago. So I got up and went out into the sitting area where we have our tree and me and my mum opened our gifts to each other. I gave mum a pretty woolen scarf with sheep on it that I knitted myself with a bit of help from school and she loved it. She gave me an awesome new set of clothes in return plus some other stuff like books and socks. I wish I could afford to buy my mum as many presents as she buys me... But even as awesome as that was, nothing compares to what came next. We were clearing away all the wrapping paper to be recycled and we heard little cracking noises coming from the Christmas tree! You will never guess what it was, It was those cute little baubles from D-Corp! They hatched into two little adorable dragon creatures! They aren't too smart but they are great chirpy company, I named the girl Sera and the boy Kain because I thought they sounded interesting. Now this will be a three dragon household soon.. oh so soon! Anyway yeah today was great, we had friends over and gave more gifts and I got some awesome gifts from Arith and Mia that I opened today, I hope they liked their gifts... I'll have to ask when I next see them which is hopefully soon. I have to go to bed now, but I will try to keep my entries often and way more interesting then this one. Seeya, Delta.

Delta's Random Diary Entry
Dear Diary,I haven't written to you in a long while, truth is I have been away. Mummy has been having to move around lots with work, but I'm glad we are home now. Sera and Kain my mini-dragons came with us on our trip, I don't think Kain likes traveling all that much though, he seemed to look sick most of the time and he didn't get to fly around as much as he would have liked. The best thing about traveling though was going to all the new places and seeing new things. We saw some pretty cool beaches with squishy white sand and water as blue as the sky, I think that if my dragon had been hatched it would have loved it there as it was nice and sunny and warm with lots of sand perfect for sandcastle building. Unfortunately we didn't stay near the beaches very long as mum mainly had to go to places inland in the middle of nowhere... There were lots of animals to see as we went driving around though. Especially sheep, I don't know why but I love them so much! When I saw them I just wanted to jump out of the car and go play chase with them. I told this to mum, but she just looked at me funny and told me that would be a bad idea and that 'young ladies don't go frolicking in paddocks with sheep.' I disagree. The bad things about the trip definitely were being away from my friends, I bet they all look more grown up now and I still look the same. I wonder what Arith has been up to, Hopefully I will get to go see him soon. But that might have to wait until I have settled back into the new house properly. This house doesn't smell like home, but it is a lot bigger and the dragon's room looks great! Its also fun climbing up and down the ladder between it and my bedroom, mum worries that I will fall and hurt myself though. Another thing we did on our trip was plan out what colors we will decorate the rooms in the house, since right now they are just boring white. Next weekend Mum and I will go to the hardware store and buy the paints and start painting, I have decided to paint my room in light brown, It will go well with my new sky blue rug. The dragons 'lair' will be painted to look like a proper rocky mountain area so that it can feel as at home as possible, I really hope we will get along. It seems like it will be forever until we meet, but i know it will probably be really soon! Anyhow, Mums calling me for lunch, we are having animal shaped sandwiches! Until next time, Delta. XOXO
