"Some monster with a sword wreathed in black flames destroyed the ******** dam and flooded the area down stream. We're lucky we're so far removed from it."

Quin was covered with muck, dirt, soot, all those dirty things that could get you if you were our in the wilderness and playing with fire.

"I'm hitting the showers then sleep. Tomarrow's going to be hell.

Okay...So Sam had on something that sorta covered her breasts...and something that sorta covered her a**. That was about it really. Daisy Dukes and a sports bra...yeah, real protection. Ha! She draped the leather over her arm and made her way out, yawning. She was dripping wet, but couldn't be bothered to find a towel at this point.

Jacob muttered a comment under his breath, with his eyes still closed and pointed to the cieling.
"...So there were two."

He'd been listening, and this didn't sound like the thing which had run him over (and down). Regardless, he wasn't making a scene, or going to deal with these people.

He just couldn't decide between the intense need to sleep and some curiousity about his comrades, and the situation. If they forced his hand, so be it...otherwise, not much going on. It was late.

Warm water, not hot, and certianly not scolding, but luke warm tempid water cascaded down his form as he stood right under the spigot. He had told the man what he knew, none of the details, but he had tarried long enough to get to the showers.

All and all, it felt good.

From the corner of his eye though he saw a lovely lass without a towel. Being wet and wearing clothes no less was never all that comfortable, Quin still hadn't learned to like swimming suits, so he thought he'd be kind. Stepping out for a moment his hair clinging along his back and over his shoulder he held a towel towards her.

She blinked, so tired she hadn't even seen the other man there. "Uh...thanks.." Then she took a look...I mean...a look...and her face started looking like a thermoeter in heat. Rising, rising..."I ...uh..." She shoved it back at him. "I think you need it more than I..."

"Nonscence. You need it more then I do. Just look at you, your skin is going to be so irritated if you wear those while you wait to dry. You should take them off and pat yourself down with a nice towel. Then wrap it about yourself and head off to bed. Tomarrow's going to be busy."

Quin was a no nonscence type of person, at least he normally was, but this was one of those times when he was. Relaxed and feeling better about himself and tomarrows ventures he knew what he needed to do. He kind of wondered if the place had a helicopter as well. So far they seemed poorly equiped.

"Point." She sighed, and turned pointedly away from him as she stripped down, giving him a view of her rear, as if somehow that was better. She wasn't sure if she had packed the baby powder inher bag or not so she didn't want to chaf if she could help it.

Once stripped, she wrapped herself in the towel and looked back at Quin. "Thanks." Making sure she was staring at his face and no where else. Refusing to admit she was blushing as badly as she was.

Smiling softly he brushed a strand of his hair that seemed to floop down with a wet smack across his cheak. Closing his eyes for a moment he nodded his head slowly.

"My pleasure to help such a charming lady as yourself. You're rather beautiful when you blush."

"And it's rather rude to point out a lady's embarrsment." She snapped back, a bit more fire in her tone this time. The beautiful comment going completely over her head, as usual. "I...err...that is..." Fingers moved through her hair, shoving it behind her ear. "Pardon, I'm a little short with all the excitement of today."
PostPosted: Sat Aug 12, 2006 12:49 am

"Oh? I've known a number of ladies to blush in regards to more then just embaresment." Not taking any of her words to heart he shrugged and stepped back into his shower. "It's okay, really it is. Best be getting some sleep now."

It was only a quick rince before he stepped back out and leaned foward, twisting his hair to ring of water as you would a rag.

"Well I best hurry if I don't want to cause a scene."

"Yeah..." She chocked, surprised at herself as she caught herself trying to catch another glimpse of Quin before she herself ran off to the barracks, intent on some sleep. Oh man, Charles was so going to be pissed when she told him how her weekend was.

She found the barracks, threw her clothes to the side of a cot she claimed and curled under the blankets with the towel intact, though that wouldn't last till morning.

Hobbling back to his cot Quin took his time. He had hurried to the showers, now despite his words he was going to take a bit of time. Didn't want to strain his leg too much now. And then he didn't mind putting on a little show.

When he go to his room he collasped on the cot and wraped himself up in his wool blanket.

Athan was never a very light sleeper, but his biological clock worked better than any alarm clock. Even when he was in the midst of a dream involving a lucrative career as a dog trainer

At the crack of dawn, or near enough to it, Athan was up and out of bed. In little more than his boxers he was set on digging through his duffle, finally producing a plain white towel and throwing it over his shoulder.

Once he got all cleaned up, he'd get some breakfast before heading back to the barracks and rechecking his equipment.

Then, it was go time.

It just had to be one of those days when you wake up in the morning in a cold sweat. His dreams has ben plauged with visions of water, literally tons of it, crashing down upon him and everything about ******** to himself as he began to pull himself back together he rose from the cot and began to get dressed. His clothes were simple, tunic and trousers over which he wore a few pieces of armour plate that looked enchanted. Sturdy boots were on his feet and gloves on his hands while a jerkin was worn over the armour.

His arsenal was rounded out by two flintlocks, there supplies, and a sword strapped at his hip. A new addition of a radio was also safely attached to his equipment.

Moving through the barracks he began to pull together a squad of sorts.

With a unit of ten soldiers, most of them no better then concscripts, Quin headed them over to the warehouses. They would need supplies for the coming action. Mostly radios and munitions; couldn't do without the fireworks now could they.
