Oh, yea. This was just great. Just dandy!
She was on an island. Not a very happy looking one, mind you. Nope, no resort, no spa, no NOTHING. Unless you counted that building in the center(which didn't look to happy itself...), though the island was far to big to actually determine the fact that nothing else was there, at least, for now. Other than that, it looked pretty barren. Tara sighed and rubbed her temples with her index finger. How in the world did she get there in the first place? She had too much of a headache to figure that out. Whoever brought her there had left her, for the time being anyways. She sighed again and fell backwards onto the ground, hand going to her belt inscintively where her pokeballs were supposed to be.
Nothing there. She cursed quietly, fingers running through her raven black hair. Well, the only thing she could do now was scout the island, maybe someone else was there... Hopefully it was a nice someone. There was a chance, wasn't there? Well, it was a fairly slim chance, but hey, a chance is a chance. Better slim than none... Or.. so she thought, anyways.
She sighed and stood, dusting the sand off of her jacket. Well, at least thins can't get wo- She cut off her own thoughts. They said that if you said that, things would get worse. Oh the irony. Sweet, sweet, irony. That there was sarcasm. Well, at least she had her sarcasm. Wouldn't keep her much company though.. but it was something. Maybe she'd find a... monkey, or something of the sort, somewhere on the island. Yea.. She'd name it, and it would be her bestest friend.
Insanity. There was another thing! It would go right there along side sarcasm. But was that an improvement? One would hope. Though... there were some doubts that sarcasm and insanity were going to be useful here....
She sighed again and walked towards the forest part of the island, folding her fingers behind her throbbing head.

Inside the building, figures huddled around a monitor as Tara's figure moved about on screen. "There she is. Right where I left her." A shadowed hand gestured towards the screen unnecessarily and was immediately shoved out of the way.
"You idiot! Why did you leave her out there?!?"
"I-I thought..."
"No, no you didn't think. If you HAD thought about anything, you wouldn't have left her out there! Now, fix your mistake or I'll have your head for this! Or worse!"
There was a chill that seemed to settle on the room with the mere utterance of those words. All present understood that seemingly simple threat and they looked at the accused with pity.
"I promise! I won't make another mistake! Forgive me!"
"We'll see. Now, go! You have work to do."
A crash and the sound of scrambling feet punctuated the poor fool's hasty departure. Calmly reclining in a chair and gazing at the monitor, the shadowed figure smiled, murmuring, "Much better. Now, let's give our little friend, Tara, a warm welcome..."

Tara stumbled through the forest. This is where the insanity was coming into cue. She could have sworn something just moved over... Well, she ignored it. As much as she could anyways. Her head still ached from whatever brought her there. She sighed and paused beneath a tree, sitting at the base. "G'damn heacaches" She mumbled quietly to herself, fingers raking at the bark.

The poor fool from the building ceased his headlong rush into the woods, pausing to try and gain control of his heart rate and breathing again. I gotta' calm down. I can't screw up again...I can't...the doc...he'll... Shuddering, he pushed that thought aside before the panic could rise again. Taking a deep breath, he plunged forward, pushing thick foliage out of his way.
Some minutes later, he froze, nearly stumbling over the girl in his haste. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you, miss," he said hurriedly, eyes wide. "Are you okay?" He looked genuinely concerned as he crouched nearby, though not closely enough to seem threatening to the girl.

"Jeezus" Tara backed up into the tree. She exhaled deeply. "Okay compared to what" Her eyes narrowed, her voice near a growl. "She should have been happy about finding another human on the island. Then again, she was going almost insane. This guy didn't seem all too happy. Then again, this whole island didn't seem all to happy. It seemed pretty... dull, for now. She sighed, rubbing her temples again. "Um... If I may ask... where am I?"

He smiled reassuringly, though his thoughts were anything but. My, quite the hostile one, isn't she? This should be interesting...and a bit of a challenge.
"A long way from home, I think it's safe to assume." He chuckled softly, running a hand through his hair. He'd been meaning to get that cut, but kept forgetting. Right, the girl. "And I meant, is your head okay? You seem to be in pain," he frowned, tempted to reach for her, but thought better of it. "You're on a small island owned by CRONUS, a privately-funded research facility. Invents medicines and stuff like that, ya' know?" He glanced at her head again, wondering if she might have more serious injuries than she let on. "I could take you to the main lab. We can get you doctored up and see what we can do about getting you back home. Where is 'home,' by the way?"

"Ah... I think I've heard of it.. before" She was relieved. Standing, she shrugged, "Just a little headache. I still have no clue how I got here..." She sighed, scratching the back of her head. "Would you do that? It'll be a great help..." She paused for a moment, "Home... Well, my home was in Kanto. But I left a while ago... So I suppose I really have no home?"

"That's a shame," he frowned, standing as well. He brushed down his clothes before straightening up and it became obvious that he was wearing a uniform of sorts. Something like what one would expect to see on a night security guard. Nothing fancy, but clean cut.
"Well, at the very least, I hope you'll let us help you get back to the mainland. You can choose what you'd like to do after that." He smiled warmly, gesturing in the direction he'd just come from with a sweeping arm motion and a slight bow. "I'd be more than happy to escort you to the main lab. It's no problem at all, miss." In fact, you'd be doing me a favor, he thought to himself, smiling all the while.
"I'm sorry, I haven't even introduced myself. You may call me Hayden."

"Why thank you" Tara smiled, she dusted the dirt off of her jacket and tucked her hair behind her ear, fingers brushing against the bandages over her bad eye area. "My name is Tara, tis a pleasure to meet you, Hayden" She nodded her head, folding her arms before her her casually.
She wasn't suspicious of anything. She was more relieved than anything.

If Hayden took notice of the bandages or thought anything about them, he made no outward sign of it. He simply kept smiling. Keep them off guard. Always appear friendly and helpful. His training echoed through his head and he followed his instructions to the letter. His very life depended on it. And more.
"And it's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Tara. Please, watch your step. There are some tricky roots through here on your left." He held some limbs out of her way, guiding her towards the main lab building. It wasn't far and they'd be there within minutes.

Tara narrowed her eyebrows at him. This guy was starting to seem a little too good to be true... She nodded anyways, following him to this so called 'lab' where she would recieve 'help' to get back to the mainland. She was.. doubtful, to say the very least, but it wasn't like there was anything better she could to menewhile.
She twisted her hair around her finger, fingers brushing once more over the bandages. She hadn't paid much mind to the fact of her bad eye lately. She had gotten used to it since the incident, though it did seem... annoying, at times.

The silence began to feel a little awkward, so he decided to start up another conversation to keep her talking...maybe. She didn't seem like the talkative type though. "So, what is it you do with your free time, Miss Tara?"
He kicked a fallen limb off out of the way, clearing the path as well as he could for her. She didn't seem especially delicate or anything, but he thought he'd make the effort to be helpful. She looked like she could take care of herself if she needed to. He wondered a little about the bandages though. Those couldn't be recent, could they? She didn't seem to feel awkward about them like most people with a recent injury would. In fact, she acted like they weren't even there.

"Nothing much, I suppose" Tara shrugged and followed him. She didn't find silence awkward, she was used to the quiet, and found it relaxing more than anything else. She dragged her fingers against the trunks of the trees. This was starting to seem a little... suspicious. But she didn't pay any mind to it. She tied up her hair, stray strands falling into her face, which she tucked behind her ear. "So, where exactly is this 'lab'?" She blinked, arching an eyebrow.

"Not far. You can't miss it," Hayden assured her with a chuckle. "There's only one small cluster of buildings on the whole island, and the largest of them is the main lab. They'll have a phone we can use to call you a ship to the mainland. You'll be out of here in no time."
He smiled back at her, running his hands through his hair again. He really needed to get that cut. "In fact, the lab should be within sight any minute now." He turned back, pushing forward through the foliage. The sooner he got her there, the sooner he'd be safe.

Tara made a mental note of everything he told her, maybe it would be useful later on? Who knows, though information like the layout of the island wouldn't be any use off of the island, but she liked to keep random information in her head just for the heck of it. "Alright" She muttered quietly, looking to the side. This guy was acting a little too... nice. It was almost gut wrenching. She narrowed her gaze, still glancing at the foilage at the side. She had always been an outdoors-y person, but this seemed a little odd.... She couldn't put her finger on exactly what she thought was 'odd', but...
