Yes, and that's why this country has a 50% divorce rate. So following that... Shuichi and Yuki will last as long as the sex does. So much for quintessential BL couple.
Indeed. Wise words.

I've said it many times before, I liked the book till it got to the ending. Then it was just a buch of crap. Like Maki didn't even feel like making Gravitation anymore so she just threw in an ending.

I don't think I even got through the beginning song of the anime before I couldn't watch it anymore.

Heh. I know what you mean. I skipped the beginning song basically every episode. The first few eps I watched at a friends place, and she skipped it for me, warning me against it.

Gravi will always hold a place in my fangirl heart, but it's not my favorite of them all. I think it's the fact that Shuichi, to me, is such a shallow and immature charater it's rather mind-boggling.

If he were a girl there would be so many hate sites dedicated to him it wouldn't even be funny.

I dunno. I like it a lot, but I havent read the whole series yet, because I havent bought it all. XD But I like it a lot better then the anime or the ova. And plus theres that new series of it coming out.

I think Shui-chan was best in the beginging before he meet Eiri-san, because he was totally just 'Music is mah life!' and I like that in a guy. And through out the manga, you see him get chances for instant sucess, and he doesnt take them for his love of Eiri-san. I mean, they could have had a huge impact on his career, but he didnt take it. And I dunno. I guess its not as cool if you arent into music or anything. And its Yaoi, but not yaoi. Both characters are apparently straight, even if many many fangirls would love Shui-can and Ryu-chan get together. lol.

But my favorite scene is in the beginging of book 1, where he loses all his data and tries to jump out the window. XD I made a friend who dislikes yaoi greatly read Gravi 1 and she enjoyed that part the best as well. lol.

I've got quite a few of the manga and I've watched the whole series. After about 7 episodes of the anime series, Shuichi's voice started to annoy the hell out of me, so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy reading the rest of the manga more.
Though I can't say the same about my Dad, who came over and decided he was 'curious' about my manga collection.. And flicked through volume 2. Let's just say he won't be reading any more of my manga. sweatdrop

I don’t hate Gravi.... well I don’t hate the Gravi anime. I really don’t like the manga. As I’ve said many times before, it read like a bad fan fiction. The comedy was more or less funny but when Murakami tried serious, she failed miserably. You can see that in the anime too. As the anime progresses it gets lamer, unbelievable and retarded.

I also can’t stand Yuki and Shuichi together. I think they are the most dysfunctional couple ever. And not in a good way. Eiri needs to grow the hell up and Shuichi needs to stop being Eiri’s doormat. Murakami was too rigid with those two. Eiri stays the cold hearted seme throughout the whole thing and Shuichi doesn’t even grow as a character. He’s just insane and clingy. And ugh, they can’t work together. They don’t. They break up, get back together, and learn nothing from their previous errors. So they’re perpetually making the same mistakes all the time.

Honestly, the only good thing about the series is the supporting cast. They’re all so amazing and great, and I really wish someone else would snatch up the supporting cast and write a better story about them.

Very true. I didn't hate Gravitation, but it certainly wasn't the great series everyone makes it out to be...bleh.

So true. But wait, isn't there a second series out now? Their relationship could improve in it.

Not sure. I read the first issue of the new series a few years ago and I wasn't particularly impressed (so much so I can't remember a thing from it ^^ wink . But if her changes are any where near as horrible as the ones she used in the new Gravi remixes then I'm not sure it'll amount to much.

Here's hoping she grew up as a writer. ^^ Doubt it very much though.

Sorry. I love Gravitation and it will always have a special place in my heart what with Ryuichi's adorableness and Shuichi's random bouts of blood squirting from every pore. ^_^

*Cackle* That could be a great theory as to why Gravitation EX the sequel to Gravitation looks like such s**t and has a plot line that's a million times worse than the original. Though this is just my opinion, but many other Gravitation fans seem to agree with me.

As for Gravitation itself. I loved the manga... sure the ending seemed like a cop out, but wen you read it AFTER seeing the anime... you're bound to love it ^^; I really could not stand the anime. It's ending was worse than the manga. That and the english voices make my ears bleed. Though watching it in Japanese was nice for Tohma... He has the same Japanese VA as my favourite Gundam Wing Pilot... same looks too! I dressed up as Tohma for a convention one time and was called the 'Quatre Pimp' more than Tohma. It was pretty funny actually. I think the only worth while thing in the anime is the music. I love Gravitation music *huggles her CDs*

Don't worry I am not going to attack the creator of this thread for not liking the series. To each their own and many shounen ai and Yaoi fans don't like it for spawning idiot fan girls that think they know everything about the genre just for watching a few episodes.... ESPECIALLY since Gravitation is SHOUJO... It focuses on Shuichi's singing career for the most part, not how often he bangs Yuki... but that's an argument for another time.

[Try to realize the truth.

I don't HATE Gravitation, but I seriously dislike it. I bought one volume and can't bring myself to buy any more. >.<

What bothers me the most is the style. Closley seconded by the lack of interesting storyline. There are numerous things I dislike about it.

Ehh. That's just my opinion, though.

I've only seen the anime for Gravitation. I like all the background characters. I love the music for it, even if some of it gets used too much.

I outright dislike both Shuichi and Yuki. The two of them go around being idiots about their relationship, even though it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they did way more than just kiss (even though nothing was show.) However the next day, they act like nothing happen. Yuki goes back into denial and goes back to being pissy romantic novelist. Shuichi allows Yuki to treat him like crap, while acting overly clingy. I hate seing boy/girl pairings do what they are doing and being a boy/boy pairing doesn't give them any immunity with me.

It's funny because I do say that Ryuichi is my favorite character in the anime as he's pretty much the straight version of Shuichi... but the thing is that Shuichi even let Ryuichi get to him more than once.

i've never seen the anime so don't really have an opinion on that, but it looks a little like a fabrication. ^^;

the manga, on the other hand, i adore. Completely! I just love the characters and the story and the humor. You should definitely check out the manga!! ~^^~
