Selene smiled. "That makes me happy." she confirmed. The lake? Oooh! "And sure! I think that would be fun!" she pulled up to her feet happily. "I like water. It's cool, and blue." she giggled. "What will you show me?"

Smiling, Aurorealis nodded. "Alright." The stallion paused, "Maybe a few fish, and this lake I'm speaking of has a waterfall too. Have you seen one of those before? They're beautiful and sometimes if you look hard enough, you can see rainbows in them." It was a beautiful lake, he happened to stumble upon it one day while he was wandering the forest. "Actually, the water kind of reminds me of you." He smirked playfully. "This way." He started walking to the right.

"Fish?" the filly grinned, bouncing. "Waterfalls? What are they?" she asked curiously. "And how does the water remind you of me?" she'd never been compared to water before. Citlalli said she looked like the sky, but never water. As the stallion moved off, the filly floowed him, bouncing happily.

"Hm. You'll see once we get there. There are lots of fish." The stallion nodded solemnly. "They're very pretty, I think you'll like them." He nodded once more and continued to walk. "Water is blue. And you shimmer the way water does when the sun hits it too." Aurorealis smiled back at her as he continued to walk.

"I like to chase fish, but they swim too fast." her face scrunched up. Shimmer? Shimmering was pretty. AH! He thought she was pretty! Eyes gleaming, she bounced happily as she fell into a canter alongside him. "I like the sun." she commented. "I like lots of things. I don't like bees. Do you like bees?" the question carried the weight and gravity only a child could give a question like that.

"Aww. Maybe I could help you catch one, though I'm not very good myself. "The sun is nice. Bees are kind of werid. They hurt when they sting you. Have you ever been stung?" Out of the corner of his eye, he notices the familiar sparkling of the surface of the lake. "We're here." He steps over to the edge of the lake and gazes out at the waterfall. "And that is a waterfall." It was a breathtaking sight, the mist emerging as the water cascaded to more water below. Even a small rainbow was visible.

The filly gasped in wonder as she stepped up next to Aurorealis. "I'd appreciate that... And no, I've never been stung. This place is so pretty!" One could almost see the hearts taking shape in her eyes as she took in the sight. "It's beautiful! So much water, and it looks like stars are falling! White and shimmering. Are waterfalls where the stars go when they are too tired to fly anymore?" Her eye caught the rainbow and she closed them, drinking in the colors silently. "Thank you for showing me this place, Mister Aurorealis." she said politely.

His eyes were filled in thought as he gazed down at the water, such a powerful force yet so magnificent and beautiful at the same time. He nodded down at the little filly. "Yea it's quite the place isn't it?" Aurorealis paused and pondered her question. He had never thought of a waterfall like that before, Selene definitintely had a much more broad imagination then Aurorealis did. "Hm. Maybe this is where the stars go. You know, sitting up in the sky is tough work. And it's no problem Selene. I'm just glad you like it."

Selene sighed and dropped to her belly, little legs grown tired. "Can we stay here for a bit?" she asked curiously. "It smells good, and it's so cool, and sounds nice." she explained. She rolled onto her back, waving her legs in the air, rubbing her back on the grass. "I can't imagine what it would be like to have to stay up there all day. There are so many other stars, one would get so tired of listening to all the chatter." she snorted, finally relaxing.

Aurorealis nodded softly, "Sure, whatever you want to do little lily..." Hm, that was odd of him to give her a little nickname, but it seemed to suit her well. Settling in the grass beside her, Aurorealis gazed out to the waterfall in the distance. "Yea... I spent the night here once. It's quite pleasant I have to admit."

Selene sighed, taking a deep breath of the air. So nice and cool. The filly moved closer to the other Soquili, looking for the silent companionship that the wind stallion seemed so willing to give.

Gazing down at the little filly, Aurorealis couldn't help but feel a somewhat paternal instinct. He was the leader of his previous herd, but that was so long ago. It was weird being the older one, since the family he lived with now, Chitsa was the elder to be respected. The stallion folded his wings beside his body and continued to look around.

The mix of gentle night sounds, running water, and the security of a larger, warm body next to her made Selene yawn and lay her head down on her forelegs. Just a short nap, yes? No one would have to know...

Chuckling silently to himself, Aurorealis watched her drift away. She was absolutely adorable, so he just sat there silently gazing around. All was serene and quiet, but the stallion didn't feel like sleeping just quite yet. So he sat there with an aloof disposition.

(( and since Selene is now an adult, we're time jumping it. ^^ ))
Selene fluttered her wings, stretching them out as she settled herself down on the cliff, glancing out over the waterfall. It was still as beautiful to her today as it was the day she'd been introduced to it. One of her guilty pleasures was to come here and laze the day away. It was a secret she kept to herself.
Everyone needed their own place to go, and Selene found that place where the stars fell. She stretched out her head, making sure not to lay on her hair too badly, relaxing and taking in the birds and tumbling water. Peaceful.
