Ha ha, by far my hands and feet are my best weapons. They go with me everywhere, they are concealed, and always ready if I am!

But, of all of the weapons named in the poll....the staff...

I train with a Bokken and jo-staff. My jo staff is 4 foot long which suits me, I'm quite short....at 1m 62. It is useful because it is the weapon you are most likely to have/ find. Such as an stick or branch. I doubt you'd find nunchuka or sai or such in real life! LOL

1. Three Section Cudgel
2. Spear
3. Cudgel (Staff)
4. Guan-Dao
5. Nine Section Whip

... Mind you I've never even used any of these apart from the cudgel, but they're the ones I can't wait to learn. razz

The one I like using the most is definately double stick. It just feels the best to me and extends my reach...

I would like to learn Tonfa but my federation (USKMAF) doesn't specialize in that weapon, but after the tonfa my next favorite weapon is the bong staff and after that is escrima because it is two half bong staffs, and then after that is dou wakatashi... then the katana

I prefer...swords, katana's to be specific.
Staff are long, I dont like long weapons.
Kunais are too short, although maybe my extremly close quarter fights
nunchucks, until I start training with them, sometimes I hit myself in the head.
Other weapons, all I can say is axe are total turn offs for me.

The Huscarls, Viking, Franks and as the name of the axe implies the Danes use an axe called a Danish axe that is usually between 4 and 6 feet long it's a big axe and was rarly defeated in battle. The battle of Hastings is one of the bigest battles where these axes were put to use.

The large size of the axe gave it alot of power and the Huscarles heald it left handed meaning that for the most part they were attacking your right side the shield was comonly heald on the left side. This made it hard to fight against you had to turn to keep the blade of the axe away from you and made it near impossible to attack from that position. Axes brought fear to people if you were big enough to use one it was a good choice. I love the Viking people most of the time they used axes it was a tool every one had few could afford swords men were supposed to have 4 spears and a sword but most could not buy these. Axes though were a comon thing part of every day life things like mail armor was sometimes rented out in a way to men who were part of raiding partys. Vikings were not called Viking though just a side note they called raiding as they did going a Viking they were mostly from Norway and some settled in parts of Germany, Englend and other places. They were mostly traders and Sea men it was not worth much to them to kill every one the did alot of deals with other people. The main reason they left Norway was the place was becoming over populated. Ok thats enough history.

I like a nice axe I own a tomahawk like throwing axe it's good up close with a knife or shield and you can throw it and then draw a new weapon. It realy dosen't matter how it hits you the force alone is strong enough to kill if it hits someone in the head and against armor an axe realy dose quite well.
