The metal bar's behind the drow female clicked and fell away, opening a doorway into the hall of the place. "Follow me." she said simply as she turned, the two males following close behind as she began to leave.

Volmag followed quietly, thinking of the blood he was soon to taste, the fun he was soon to have.

Cell Mates

Aidan and Aiko are in a small dingy room, no larger than 20 feet wide and long. There are three "beds" fot lack of a better word, against the wall, though they would better be discribed as sheets of metal with thin, tattered cloths around them. Appart from the beds, the only other decoration of the room was a small table, with a meager meal on it at best. Around their necks, they wore the jeweled collars, which had been given to them the past year ago, to keep them in line. This was thier "Room", which they had been sharing for the past month's as they fought and survived on the arena battle ground. This was thier little reward from thier master's, giving them this little room and enough food to survive and stay health. Most slaves didn't even get that.

I look over to Aiko, giving a small grunt before speaking "So, what kind of fight do you think they'll stick you in next? Me, I'm expecting perhaps a couple more dire bears. They haven't put me in a pit with dire bears in awhile. Unless they've found another slave they think might be entertainment to put against me. Or, maybe they'll just throw us in a room and let us fight it out." I stop there, not wanting to pick a fight, for knowledge of how quickly the Drow seem to show up to stop fights they haven't scheduled. They don't like to lose money after all.

-With a gentle sigh, Aiko dusted her dress off as she heard Aidan speak, shaking her head in disapproval as she spoke in a soft voice.-

"It's bad enough they force us to fight for our lives against overwhelming monsters...I barely survive on my speed and archery alone. I'm not afraid of them, I just fight for fear of being hit with something of a forged material (iron/steel) by our masters..."

-Her gaze upon him was one of mostly concern more then anger from his comment, If either of them were going to leave this place alive, they had to work together, and the death of either of them wouldn't be the best route-

"Are you prepared for the next fight, regardless of what it is? Are you tired at all? If you are, I can help a little...it wouldn't do us any good to go out and fight when we're fatigued in any way..."

I give a smile, somewhat unsettling when put with the cold, hard features of my face, the dirty, scarred face of one who's been a slave in an arena for a year. The disturbing features present due to my demonic blood don't help of course, and the fangs just add that last bit of disturbingness to the smile "No, I'm fine. As I was being carried off after my last fight, I managed to snag a potion off my jailor that completly refreshed me."

-Nodding back at Aidan, she giggled a bit, shaking her pointer finger a bit-

"Sneaky sneaky, just what I'd expect from someone like you. I'm glad you won't be fatigued when we risk our lives again..."

-Sitting up from the ground, she walked over to Aidan, avoiding the beds protruding from the walls. She had a distaste for those beds, feeling very weak and somewhat sick when in contact with them in any fashion. The area where she was sitting shows an outline of her body. She had been sleeping on the cold floor of the cell, unable to sleep on the beds otherwise. While next to Aidan, she leaned in and whispered into his ear.-

"Hopefully the time will come where we will make our escape and extract our revenge on our tormentors. I desire some death to a few Drow that hold us captive, how about you?"

I smile again, this time it's one of amusment as I picture the tortured, bloodied faces of the drow. "Oh, there are certainly some drow I'd like to add a little colour to their faces. Especially a few priestesses." I bring my foot down on a spider crawling by, knowing how sacred they are to the drow, smashing it's body between my boot and the ground, and smearing it's remains.

-With a gentle, yet maniacal giggle, Aiko smiled and nodded, skipping a little towards the bars of the cell, looking up towards Aidan as she plopped down directly against the wall, avoiding contact with the cell's bars and twisting her finger against the ground as she turned her sight towards the floor, somewhat doodling within the dust there as dense as it was, watching the spiders and other insects crawling around. Her gaze turned naive and sad as she looked at him now in a questioning matter.-

"I never really did ask you this...but, where did you come from? You look of demonic origin but I can't really tell that off hand...if you don't mind me asking, how was your life before this, where did you come from, how did this come to be with you?"

Down the hall the group walked, the female drow in the lead, tailed by both males and the orc, Volmag. The only matter of light were the soft shades of purplish flames that rebounded off the walls. At last, they reached on of the better maintained parts of the slave facility. The walls seemed to be a bit cleaner, with less odd color's splattering the walls and what not. "This will be your cell, slave." The drow female said, opening the door to the small room where Aiko and Aidan we in. "If you fight well in the arena, you will live here. If not, you will live in the slave pit with the rest of your filthy breathren. and..." She said coldly as she raised the snake whip, who's six heads hissed and writhed as she did so. "Failure will not be tolerated."

I look up at my cellmate, a very angry glare shooting from my eyes as I speak. "I know nothing of my origins. It is a secret my mother, who was a human, would never share with me. My earliest memories are pretty much identical to the memories of most of my childhood. Living in the wilds, running from strangers screaming, shooting us either insults or arrows. I heard many names shouted at me, 'demon' and 'devil' being most popular. Despite her arcane knowledge, my mother never struck down those who tried to harm us. She just ran. And still those fools killed her. Murdered her in front of my eyes..." My nails start to peirce the flesh on my hand as they dig deep into it from my fists being clenched very tight. "For awhile I did to. I just ran, avoided them. Went into towns only when necessary. But it became harder to survive, and I became desperate. And I realized they didn't deserve it. They didn't deserve the pity. They were bringing it on themselves. They actually thought they were better than me. They actually thought I was inferior. So, I stopped showing them the mercy they didn't deserve. I showed them the same mercy they showed my mother. I laughed as their taunts became screams. And, one day, if I ever find the town that sent the guard after my mother, I will raze it, and leave no survivors."

"So...you too had a human mother..."

-Aiko eyes started to water as she gazed at him, knowing at least that he had went through something similar that happened to her in her past.-

"At least your curse was one withheld from you as a child. I had full knowledge of what happened to me upon my birth. I was the creation between my loving and trusting mother and the prank of a ignorant Pixie. The town we lived in shunned our very existance as I grew, for fear of attempts on our lives we fled into the forest and lived there. As I grew my mother taught me my archery skills, but when I went to the academy, my fellow students turned on me, bashing me in the back with a solid Iron Cudgel and nearly killing me. The town got what they deserved though...I killed them all...including my mother who had turned on me afterwards."

-By this time, she was quietly sobbing in the side of the cell, burning with hatred already, nearly not noticing the Drow had brought a new slave in to join them in the cell. Wiping her eyes off, she watched the Drow with heavy anger until they left, and afterwards she looked back up to Aidan.-

"If we make it out of this...and you'll allow me to, I wish to aid you. I feel we are one in the same..."

-Looking outside the cell to make sure the Drow had left afterwards, she looked towards the new addition to their family-

"So, who're you? How'd you get into this mess?"

The drow female looked at the teary face of Aiko, her face lined with a sick amusment. "Such pathetic creatures they are," she comented to her drow consorts. "They are as pathic as you males." With that she shut the door hard behind Volmag, looking the heavy metal behind her.

As the Orc is thrown in, I quickly jump to my feet, readying myself for anything. Knowing the ferocity and simple minds of Orcs, I decide it best to try to explain the situation before the brute decides to take out his anger on the two of us. "Orc. Before you attack, listen to my words" I begin, speakng slowly and enunciating, hoping the beast even understands common "You are now a toy for the dark elves to play with as they wish. They will use you and your abilties to kill to make money. Because of this, they do not allow us to fight unless we are in the arena. If you attack, you will quickly be subdued, and all of us will be punished. So, try to calm your anger."
