ive heard nothing of the sorts lately about a ffVII numba 2! All i know about is Advent Children which followed after the storyline of 7 and dirge of cerberus which takes place during advent children i believe(havent played the game or whatched the movie so im not sure!).
and for the record SQUARE ISNT REMAKING FFVII FOR THE PS3!!!!! they were just showing off the graphics of the ps3! and although it would be great to see them do it, they havent announced any plans for it at all!

Actully Square said they where thinking about making a remake.That not a yes or no.So we still got hope.

I really wish that they would stop dragging FF7 into every lame spinoff of the original. They game has been out for 10 years and there still riding this cash cow.

i think it might be becuase the final fansay mart is starting to go up in price becuz of FF 's following and the amont in fans ... just the anther day trade a game offed $45 for my beat up ff9 and $50 for anther person's
its really sad how low they can go /////

bah, i heard that they really aren't going to remake it for the ps3, but instead they are going to make like three different versions on FF13, which was so pretty when i saw trailers, I almost forgot how much getting a ps3 would kill me, but yeah, saw last order, that wasn't a terrible spinoff, or maybe i was just drooling over zack, before crisis probably won't get much publicity what with it being a cell phone game and supposedly only being released on sprint phones. but yah, I guess they are just milking it for all its worth
edit, my sources are wrong, they are making it, but oh well, it's not like i can play it immediately anyway
