He glanced over at the other Captain and timed it perfectly so that their movements were in sync, wanting to make this appear as a somewhat perfect ceremony for all those who chose to watch it. After letting half of the wreath slide past the shield, he held it still and paused to listen to the words eminating from the walls. He heard him speak of casting aside the remnants of those who have fallen, and decided that would be a good enough cue to push the wreath through the shield and release it into space, almost regretting it as the tribute left his hand forever.

((Sorry about my absense. Been having the worst case of writers block. Meh. I'm back now.))

Rasa let go of his wreath, watching as the energy of the shield slipped the wreath from his hand and into the black. As each memorial wreath floated away down the lines, the pilots turned off their lights. Each pilot, once the lights were turned off, they lit their bottom jets, floating upwards out of site to split off and head back home.

"Well my friend? I will miss you. I will miss you deeply."

He glanced at the other Captain out of the corners of his eyes briefly as he heard him speak, before shifting his attention back towards the two wreaths as they drifted away from the ship. He continued to watch them, not truly caring about how the ceremony seemed to others as the two objects eventually blended into the darkness of space, most likely being lost forever. With the thoughts of his fallen Marines cast aside for now, he quickly turned his attention back toward the other ship Captain, hoping that this entire ceremony would effectively seal their alliance.

Rasa turned towards his companion, and held out his hand.

"You are a fine captain. I would not mind serving by your side in the future."

Vincent almost let his shock show through his usually calm features, having never expected him to actually be willing to work with him after what they'd both been through. He decided to think about his reasoning later, though, as he reached his own hand out to his, gripping it and shaking it firmly. "I'm happy we can set our differences aside, even if it's for a brief time, and work together. Hopefully, we won't have to go through another ceremony like this.."

"Most definatly."

He shook the other captain's hand with his grip, then released and turned on his heel to step over to his ship.

He nodded as their hands parted, watching as the other Captain walked back towards his own ship, and quickly decided to do the same, knowing he had some work to do concerning their next objectives. With that in mind, he casually wandered back toward his Pelican, already thinking about how they'd be getting back home.

Rasa hopped into his cockpit and slid the canopy closed, locking it down.

"Mala. Get ready to take me on."

"Copy that boss."

As his Viper lifted off of the deck, Gai turned off the live feed, giving his own message that was lost to the captains. A couple hundred yards off of the side of the Carrier, the Valkyrie Rose drifted upwards, ballanced on several spiked of mist as the docking thrusters fired. It's cargo door opened, allowing Rasa to pilot his Viper inside the bay, a kind of impromtoo carrier.

As the rear hatch of the Pelican closed, and the atmosphere was safely sealed inside of it, the large troop carrier pushed itself up and off of the strangely colored deck of the Carrier, before turning about and darting through their only exit, heading off back towards a cluster of large and small UNSC vessels, the Titan being the center of attention within the group.
