We had a liitle game in high school, we called it hide the techie. DDurring the last preformance of a show we would try to hide and actor on stage in every scene. The audiance didnn't know we were there but the actors and the booth staff started trying to guess where we were.

My very first show, Jospeh...Dreamcoat, we did a hold over, so our last rehearsal was like a joke night. It was HILARIOUS! I don't think I've ever laughed so hard during a show. I would love to say all that happened, but it'd take me forever. And...that was 5 years ago.

A more recent show, Pippin, had a fun last night. They taped a picture of a naked chicken with sunglasses in a picnic basket that they used when Catherine, Theo, and Pippin go on the picnic and Fader (our Catherine, and no, that's not her REAL name) got so distracted and was trying so hard not to laugh, but instead of saying "Pippin, you've been with us for six months" she said sex. Everyone cracked up. And, behind her bed where the angels were, they taped this picture of the Teletubies and none of the angels could stop giggling.

There have been tons of others, but the Pippin incident is a fav of mine.

My first show with a tight cast was Your a Good Man, Charlie Brown. We had six actors and have gotten to know them quite well over the past month. So on the last night, the peanut butter sandwhich that Adam (Charile Brown) was sappose to eat we added a whole bottle of garlic powder to it. The face he made when he took a bite out of it was to amusing and the tec table burst into laughter. Later we had stolen the notebooks for the Book Report scene and written messages like in C.B.'s 'Adam is gay' and in Linus something that I can't rewrite here. During the show when they opened thier books Lucy, C.B. and Sally missed thier cues but fixed it nicely. Linus when he wasn't singing was writing an reply message with his jumbo pencil. The whole night was nearly as great as the night Lucy DID hit linus in the survey scene.

I'm studying theatre in post-secondary and we're always warned not to pull any pranks, or we will be banned from auditioning for future productions. crying

But last year we did Oresteia, and the chorus kept slipping the word "fishburger" into their lines only loud enough for the actors to hear. And during Twelfth Night the guys playing Andrew and Toby would fart on stage and the rest of us would be left in a stink cloud whilst trying to stay in character.. lol

At my school - gags are on ALL the nights.

Last year my school did Once Upon a Mattress -

Night 1
Sir Harry is singing to Lady Larken - the real line "You seemed as lovely to me as anyone ever could be" but it was changed to "You seemed as easy to me as anyone ever could be" Making fun of the fact that Lady Larken is pregnant.

Nights 2
Lady Larken mocks Sir Harry onstage by adding the line "Some people just have commitment issues"
However, Sir Harry is still in the lead as he asks the visiting French Princess "Voulez vous couche avec moi?" He was really supposed to ask her "Do you want to buy fish".

Night 3
Lady Larken ties up the Larken/Harry feud by taking a whole yard of cloth from her dress. She is supposed to only draw a little handkerchief from her dress.

However the choreographer then pulls the biggest prank when she cuts up a green sheet and dresses her brother in it. He pops up when people start singing "it wasn't the pea at all"

Unfortunately, everyone in the cast didn't get the joke, and some of us asked each other "What was John doing in a burqa?"

At the last show for the play I was recently in there was this one part where a kid was supposed to scream out "He's Honest!" for during the last scene becuase it was a mushy happy ending where everybody was talking about how wonderful the hero was at the end of the play after he defeated all the evil. But instead he screamed out "He's liberal!" Heh, the director of that play still hasn't fully forgiven him.

well the best thing that ever happend on closeing night was totally by accident...both were actually. best closing night ever.

first of all, we were doing "A Midsummer Nights Dream" and there is a part in the play where the two male leads have a sward fight...well every other night they travled around our theatre no problem...last night however they didnt rehearse it before hand...and one of them slipped and shattered a glass divider in the audience! total accident but really funny after...but they best part about that show was...durring the final scene where they are preforming a play for the king...there is a scene where two of the charactors are supposted to almost kiss...to males btw...well tonight we payed off one of them to actually kiss the other without them knowing it...so he did...and the other actor couldnt do anything...but he was a football player and this was totally against his morals...it was just funny

On the last night of Barefoot inthe Park Corie slapped Paul as hard as she could (she hated the guy) and changed one of her lines by quite a bit
Paul squeezed Velasco's hand REALLY hard to the point the guy was almost in tears
and Ethel spit the knichi into velasco's face it was teh best one

This one is more of a joke in the making. In The Music Man, there is a barbershop quartet. Well, the techies, who have formed their own quartet, are going to go on instead of the casted quartet. And I've formed my own inter-cast quartet, and we're going to go on in a different scene.
