Tristan laughed. Oh man did laughing feel good. "No public indecency? I'll have to keep that in mind."

He was glad he hadn't made things akward with his social ineptitude. There were something he wanted to ask the mage, about his soul, about the place they ahd all come from, but Hamlet had to go a mess things up.

"I knew someone who liked weeds," Tristan said as he started to walk towards his building, slowly. "Something about them being versitile. I personally think he was on drugs. I hated pulling weeds when I was little."

"Anyone who likes weeds needs to be watched. I bet you they're all insane."

It was a flippant answer, but held a tinge of solemnity in it - as if Dacian was saying something very serious. That feeling died a moment later as he broke out into a grin. He couldn't keep a straight face for long.

As they began into the building, the mage remembered yet another of his typical questions. 'Typical' because usually everyone had them.

"Oh, do you have any questions about the compound in general, or the Souls?"

Tristan smiled and laughed again. "Yeah, he could have used metal help in more than one department."

"You know I had a million and one questions. I can't think of any of them at the moment. Let me think."
Not remembering his question was a bit of a lie. He had them ready but he ran them over in his mind to make sure they didn't sound completely stupid.

They were at the door of his apartment before he believed he had one that didn't sound completely horrible. "I was wondering in there was anything special about the children, aside from the animal apendages? Oh and how much like the animal are they?" He had forgot the fact that they could be blended with an item, animals interested him far more.

The opened his apartment door (It was unlocked, like always. It was a real wonder he hadn't been robbed when he still lived in the city). He really wished he hadn't after he did. His apartment was a mess. Boxes, dishes and even some clothes laying about. He dropped his head.

Why did he do this to himself?

"Well, they could be blended with - anything. Even an object."

Just to make sure that the man wasn't too surprised if he wound up with an obect-blended kid. Though really, so far the object blended chidlren seemed remarkably human.

"And it's actually different with each child...some are more like an animal then the others, but they do seem to have quite a few animal traits."

Like Gavin's feathers, or Inanna's fur. Even Ismet's skin reflected his animal blend.

"As for special - well, they may begin to develope certain abilities as they get older. We'll know more about them then, so they shouldn't be a problem while they're toddlers."

Except for one specific case, but even Dacian didn't know of that one yet.

"Well it's good to know that I won't end up with a kid with super powers or something before I know how to change a diapper," Tristan said as he made a quick run to pick up some of the junk in the apartment. "Come on in and make yourself at home," he said while throwing the cloths into a corner so not to be seen, and picking up the dishes and carrying them to the kitchen.

"I was also wondering about school and if there is daycare or something, or if I should just try and pawn off my kid on someone else when I'm not going to be around?"
in the kitchen now, he was making sure he spoke loud enough for Dacian to hear. He dumped the dishes in the sink and turned it on so soak them before he went about getting Hammie's food.

"We're setting up schooling for them once they're children, but until then you'll have to find a babysitter. I'm usually free to watch any of the children - so if you're ever really desperate, I should be in the gardens or my apartment."

Dacian glanced around curiously, noting with amusement the junk Tristan had been trying to hide, and the set up of the room in particular. How long had it been since he moved in?

But that would be rude to ask. So he merely stepped followingly into the kitchen.

"Do you need help unpacking?"

"Sort of. Carver said he'd help me," Tristan replied as he grabbed a can of dog food and opened it up and then went and dumped it in the puppy's bowl. "Its just a matter of me getting off my lazy a** and actually calling him. I'm never going to get unpacked if its just me."

Tristan tossed the empty can in the sink, planning to rinse it later with the dishes as well. He didn't notice that the sink wasn't draining properly and had started to get pretty full of water. He wasn't paying much attention.

He went over to fridge then and swung open the door, "Can I offer you something to drink? I have water, beer and.... water? I think I have coffee and tea around here somewhere but it might tak me a while to find."
