Oh, introductions. The young copper dragon drew herself up, giving a chough and then a quiet rumble. Was that supposed to be a name? She stopped and gave it a moment of thought, before trying again: "Cssitrrrine." Draconic mouths weren't precisely suited to human language, but she was learning!
It took Indigo a moment to realize she was being addressed. When she did, she glanced over her shoulder once...then looked back at what she was doing, holding the branch in two hands and using her other two to pick cherries off. "'M Indigo. That's Citrine. Hi, Cody, M'dusa," she said, barely loud enough to be heard.
A moment and two handfuls of squashy cherries later, she slid down the tree and turned to slouch against it. "You guys here to play in the park?" she said, trying to make some kind of conversation.

Cody glanced to Medusa then over to the other kids, motioning for her to follow. No good having a conversation by yelling at eachother from half way accross the play area, "Yeah me n' mom came here to relax after she had work an' I had school." He glanced nerviously to Winter who gave him a warning glance over the book she was reading. He had cut class again- and this time he had run into some issues with the d-corp staff themselves... he was in for some trouble at home likely. A good few extra chores or something... but she thought it best that he burnt out his energy for the day.
"Anyway, maybe we can play a game. I'm good at wrestlin' but you don't do it with girls 'cause they get hurt easy- so we can do tag or hide an' find."

"Hide?" Medusa asked, glancing to the bull boy. What was wrong with him? She was already near the newcomers, did he want to be the one in charge?
A bit shyly, she offered her hand to the dragon, palm up in case he should decide to greet her formally.
(( A note - Medusa has tentacles on her fingers, so if he should touch her, he might get shocked. xD;; ))

(( sweatdrop Hope you don't mind one more...))
The heat of summer was finally starting to dissapate. Armed with jars with holes poked into the lids, the ****** family was ready to capture some fireflies or at least Aysel was. Trailing behind her was her mommy, book in hand.
The two made their way slowly across the empty soccer field, Aysel running after every firefly she saw, blind to the other kids in the park. Eventually the pair made their way all the way over to the younger kids play area. Pausing in her firefly hunting the luna moth suddenly stared. "Mommy! Look," Aysel cried, pointing at Citrine. "A dragon...." the child said with obvious awe.
The sight of a dragon, any kind, successfully distracted Aysel from the though of how the other kids might see her cacoon, and served to draw the girl towards them.

((Bah, don't mind ten more xd :licks tara: ))
"Hide n' find's a game." He explained, glancing back over to the jellyfish girl, "A buncha kids go hide an' one of the kids gotta find an' catch 'em. If they find an' catch you, you get to look for everyone. It's a good game, real fun if ya can hide good. Just remember that an hour's probibly too long to be hidin'. Means you've been ditched." He chuckled.
Ooh more people were coming, it seemed a good time of the day, "'ey look there's more." He grinned, waving over to ****** family, "Howdy there!"

The thought that Indigo could get hurt easily because she was a girl shocked the velvet worm out of her black mood. She put the two hands not holding the cherries on her hips, and snorted at Cody. "I'm not gonna get hurt, but maybe we should worry about hurting you 'cuz you're just a little kid," she retorted, though the faint smile on her face and the look in her eyes said she didn't mean it cruelly. She popped one of the cherries on her mouth, chewing it briefly before swallowing it, pit and all, and following after the younger child as he beckoned.
The arrival of Aysel made the velvet worm stop short, though, eyes going wide. She'd never seen anyone else who had arms like she did! Sure, Nero had those extra pokey legs on his back, but not arms like that. "'Lo!" she called, raising a hand to wave at the other girl. She didn't even seem to notice the cocoon. "Gonna play hide and seek with us?" Turning to Cody, she added: "You gonna be 'it'?"
Finding herself the center of attention--and finding that her partner was feeling in a better mood--Citrine perked up a little as well. She leaned forward to snuff curiously at the offered hand, not quite clear on the idea of "shake". Then she looked away from Medusa's hand, toward the girl who'd been talking about a dragon. Oo, another playmate! The copper dragon chuffed affably, raising a forefoot and waving at Aysel, too.

((Ewww!!!! Thalion cooties! blaugh ))
"Howdy?" The girl repeated doubtfully glancing from the dragon to the other boy rather irked that her attention had to be divided. Idly her lower hands twisted and untwisted the lid off her jar.
Slowly Aysel moved towards the group. "Gonna play hide and seek with us?" an older girl asked, jerking Aysel's attention that way. For a moment the girl did a double take. Two sets of arms! The older girl with the really cool dragon had two sets of arms! It was...awesome! Almost overwhelmed Aysel nodded in response adding in a belated answer.
"Uh...'uess 'o. What's...'he 'ules?" she asked, eyes straying from Indigo to Citrine and finally over to the other member of the group. Aysel blinked, and rubbed her eyes.
Blinking again she almost opened her mouth about to point out the girl's translucency. Not wanting to look stupid in front of the older girl Aysel quickly changed her comment. "(H)'i," she said, adressing Citrine.

Medusa was fascinated by all the new people and took a chance to study the word as she said it. "S...sssetreeene." Then, as new arrivals came, Medusa perked up at hearing the game was going to start. She glanced over to Kanth as if asking silent permission; Kanth was sitting on a bench not too far away, her keen eyes watching everything, then glancing up at the sun, before giving a nod to the jellyfish girl.
It was alright.
She still didn't quite understand the rules of the game, but shrugged and started walking off to hide herself (after staring at the dragon for another good few minutes - she was so pretty!!). That was what you did, right?
She gave a half grin to Cody, then looked around carefully for a good hiding spot.

((What? I've had my shots XD))
"Yeah I'll be it." He puffed his chest out, putting his hands on his hips, "I'mma good chaiser but 'cause I'm playin' with girls I won't tackle ya when I find ya. Winter says I'm not 'loud." He seemed disappointed. Tackle tag was fun..
Cody glanced over, waving Medusa over, "Naw don't hide yet, I gotta cover my eyes first. When I ain't lookin' y'all go n' hide yerselves. I'll count tah...." He looked to his fingers. Ten wasn't enough, "Uh.... ten three times. That's good right? Then y'all hide an' I'll go lookin' for ya. First one I tag is it an' th' base is at the play for so ya can't go hidin' there." He nodded, "Those're the rules."
Flicking his tail, the cowboy made his way to the playcastle, covering his eyes as he started counting, "Ready! N' one... two... fo-...no three..."

She only got a few paces away before she felt the heat from the sun, and glanced up - just briefly - before staggering from the sudden exhaustion she felt.
Kanth was right there, arms scooping her up as she frowned. "Maybe we overdid it today, hun..." She murmured softly, reaching into her pack and taking out a large canteen of water, dumping it onto Medusa's head.
"Kan I stey, pleez?" Medusa begged, her grey eyes wide and yearning.
"I don't know, Medusa," Kanth started, her frown twisting into a stoic kind of look.

((XP Warm fuzzies to Thalion!))
"'ackle?" A fringe of apprehension tipped Aysel's voice. At least the toddler...rather dangerous looking toddler, said that they wouldn't. Aysel smothed her dress down with one hand, sneaking a glance at the older girl, who seemed as cool as a cucumber. Well, if she was okay with it, then Aysel would have to be too!
The luna moth turned to survey the playground, looking for a place to hide. She didn't think she could fit behind the soccor posts well enough to not be seen, and the playcastle was out too. Perhaps somewhere over by the benches.
Aysel started towards them, stopping as the transparent girl staggered. The girls mom rushed over, dumping water on the girl. Uneasily Aysel stopped, staring.
"You 'kay?" she asked.

"'I," Citrine managed in response, looking pleased with herself. The sight of Cody taking off counting made the young dragon pause, looking after him, before reaching up to scratch around her horns with a forefoot. Let's see, what did she remember about hide-and-go-seek.
Indi, on the other hand, didn't need to be reminded of the rules. "Thirty," she said, proudly, to Cody's settling on a number. She opened her mouth to say more when Medusa decided to swoon, and quickly aborted that thought.
"You need more water?" the velvet worm asked, since Aysel had already gotten the other question. "I know I don't feel good when it's really dry and hot..." Wasn't there a pond or something around here they could go to?

"She'll be fine, though we can't stay for much longer." Kanth murmured softly, deciding to let Medusa down.
Medusa smiled a small bit, her eyes wide, and mouth open in a small 'o'. She hadn't done anything wrong, had she? Glancing up at Cody, she frowned. Did she ruin the game? Did they still have time to hide? Silently, she pointed at him, as if asking the questions she thought.

"Oh." Indigo nodded sagely to Kanth's explanation, though she looked disappointed. "I know there's a pool in, uhm--" She pointed in the vague direction of the DCorp complex. "--there, so maybe next time...?" Poor Medusa looked so unhappy, too. At least Kanth didn't seem mean, like Anoki's mom.

"Y'all stop yackin' an' get tah hidin' or y'all's not gonna win this time." He didn't look back but an ear rotated in their direction. He could hear them plenty well over there yackin' up a storm when they should be hiding from his mad 'hide n' find' skills, "I'm on....uh....", Well shoot he lost count, "Im startin' again 'cause I'm just that nice, 'kay?"
A good excuse, but one that they were unlikely to call him out on, "Okay, one- n.. two- n.. three- n.. fiv- no four..."
