The hot burning feeling he had felt soon left him be as his body felt a little more cooled down. The painful feeling of nausea was ceasing to be as well. Darkness felt brighter as finally the pain went away. Instead, Fung was met by an aroma of old. A delicious aroma that had not met him in ages. Fung Liang opened his eyes slowly. A blurry vision at first, but everything was focussing in. He saw a roof thicket hovering above his head. His eyes began to stray and he saw figures sitting near a table. One though visions still dimmed, he could make out the shape of one of them. The person looked very familiar. The others though he did not recognize. There was a large burly figure. A slender one who was standing and walking back with the delicious aroma. Then there were two little ones that made sounds that were terribly annoying. Must be children. The smell taunted him and he couldn't really move yet. There was no pain, but his body was very numb. In futal efforts, he finally gave up and started making some sounds. "Nnng, hazit? Aaaah...."
((Sorry, I jumped the story to here because I didn't really have much with the fisherman after that point. But you can open off eating though. razz ))

Hana just gave up her mannors, having not eatten for a good few days; with the exception of a few berries she could find. She just ate down the fish, watching the boys play in the small house. She had finished off her fifth fish before hearing the guy's voice. She licked her lips and looked over to him. She got up from her cushion and walked over to him, "He's awake..."

A voice came to him right there. Was it that his head is spinning so bad that it sounded like gibberish to him? Fung turned his head slowly until his sight focused on the young girl. She peered down upon him as he stared with a little awe back at her. He once again tried moving but was met by failure. But a sense of strain could be seen upon his face. The fisherman laughed at this. "Don't push yourself stranger! Let it by some time." the fisherman laughed. "Perhaps he's hungry, dear." the wife said to him. This exchange of conversation too sounded like gibberish. Was Fung Liang's head jumping that badly? Fung then found his tongue and was able to speak a little. "Where...where am I?" Fung Liang spoke in his chinese tongue. The fisherman's smile faded as he stared at Fung with a surprise as did the wife.

Hana looked at the young man, curious as to what he said. She moved, sitting next to him and looking to his eyes. When she was younger, she was taught to look straight in the eyes to find a question or an answer when speaking to someone from far away. She smiled and looked up to the couple, "He's curious, he wants to know where he is" She looked back to him, smiling sweetly and mumbling in her Japanese tongue, "He's cute too... Good thing he can't understand me..."

The fisherman gave a laugh at her. "Young people today. Don't worry though. I myself understood him, though I can't say the same for my wife." the fisherman laughed before having his wife gave a gentle punch to the back of his head. "Being a fisherman that goes overseas and makes trade. One like myself would HAVE to know other languages." The fisherman smiled. He leaned closer to Fung Liang's face as Fung Liang stared up at him. "Greetings traveler from across the sea, welcome to our home." the fisherman said in the chinese tongue. His accent was a bit heavy though. Fung Liang squinted and looked around. "How...how did I get here?" Fung breathed out. "We found you on the beach stranger. You must have drifted across. It's a wonder you're still alive." Fung Liang was quiet for a moment. But then his stomach spoke for him. "Grrrrrowl...." The fisherman gave a loud hardy laugh. "Hungry much friend? My wife have prepared a meal. Don't look like you can move much, but she can surely feed you." The fisherman turned to his wife and spoke back in the japanese tongue that Fung Liang thought was gibberish. "Hey! Honey, can you feed him? He doesn't look like he can move much." the fisherman grinned. His wife walked over to Liang with a bowl of rice and a plate with a fish on it. She tore it's flesh by small bits and fed Liang them with small grains of rice as well. Liang was kind of struggling with chewing as well. The fisherman couldn't hold back as he laughed at the poor pitiful sight. He then looked over to the girl. "So girl, what exactly were you doing before you found him? Where are you from? You have any family?" Fung Liang ate at a terrible rate and not only that, he was utterly confused by the tongue the man was speaking in. Perhaps it's some kind of native speech like the Nanmans?

Hana stood up and left the guy alone. She made her way to the table and sat back on the cushion she was on before, "Well, someone or something burnt my village down, along with the forest around it. I'm not sure if any of my family is alive or not... I helped burry my family, but one of my older and one of my younger brothers, I couldn't find their bodies..." Hana looked over the guy, "And I had wandered around a forest, found a lake, and I kept going down the path and I soon found the beach... Your children were poking him with sticks..." She smiled slightly, looking over to the children now.

The little children giggled and laughed when they saw her looking at them and talking about them. As soon as that, they ran off and scurried while being childish. The fisherman, however, was a bit afflected by what this girl said. No one could ever stay sane to seeing a charred family member and burying them no less. Not at that age anyways. She must be a strong girl to be able to strive so far yet stay so pure. "Oh you poor dear!" the wife said while feeding Liang. While feeding him at this time, she turned her head to Hana so when she stuck the chopsticks forward, she ended up sticking the fish up Liang's nose. This helped Liang to move a bit. Liang started figgitying and coughing all about while making very distressed sounds. The wife looked over and fell over in shock. "I'm so terribly sorry!" the wife yelped as she gather the fishes from his nose. The fisherman gave a great laugh that had tears come from his eyes. But he immediaetly turned his attentions back to the girl. "So, do you have a name? Or did you leave it back in your village?" the fisherman said as he made an old-man joke.

Hana laughed a little at Fung before looking up to the fisherman, "My name is Hanako, but my friends and family call me by Hana... Before the fire..." She looked down slightly before getting up and making her way to Fung's side, "Can you ask him if he needs help chewing? I'd gladly help him, I've never met another from another land before" She smiled slightly, looking to Fung, sitting next to him.

As Hana walked over to Fung and asked about him, the wife smiled at her. She handed Hana the bowl of rice and the chopsticks with a warm grin on her face. "Maybe you'd like to feed him?" she asked with a warmth in her smile. The fisherman was about to crack a joke about this, when the wife on reflex swung her head at him with an icy glare that stopped him. He just chuckled instead. Fung stared up at the young girl that was towering over him. At least it looked like that since his head was still bouncing about.

Hana nodded to the wife, giving her a smile, "Thank you" She turned to Fung, giving her own warm smile. She turned to the fish and rich, completely ripping apart the fish. She placed the peices of fish into the rice bowl, making sure none of the bones were still in the fish. She used the chopsticks to mix the two items together, making the fish absorb some of the water from the rice. She pulled out a peice of fish with some rice on it and brought it to Fung's face, "It should be a little softer now... Too bad he can't understand me..."

Fung Liang looked around the room and soon saw the exchange of feeders. It was this young girl rather than the mature woman now. She did a little thing with the fish and the rice there that he had no idea about. After a few seconds, she took some fish and the rice and pulled it towards his face with the chopsticks. Then she said something in those words again. Liang got curious. "What...what are you saying? What language is that?" Liang asked in his chinese tongue. He then opened his mouth awaiting for the food to drop in. "That stranger is the language of "Nihongou"." the fisherman replied back in the same tongue. "Your people speak "Gou Yu" over from your land and it is actually a bit similar to each other." Liang waited for a second, but then responded, "Is there...anyway...you can teach me this?" The fisherman laughed at Liang. "Why don't you focus on recovering first before thinking about something like that?" the fisherman smiled. "Well since I can't really move my body...doesn't mean I can't think..." Liang forced a smile through his tiredness. He was getting better already seeing that he could speak so much. The fisherman smiled at Liang and again laughed. "Well if I were to have a student, I must know his name first." Fung Liang took a few seconds to recollect his thoughts and finely uttered, "My surname is Fung and my name is Liang, though my friends call me "Chongman". The name's Fung "Chongman" Liang." The fisherman smiled at this. "Guess I can't hide for too long. The name's Yamagata Ukanoguchi. But you can call me Ukano though." "Alright, stop holding him back from eating!" the wife hollered at the husband. The husband just laughed and got up to leave. "We'll start the session tomorrow. Till then, eat as much as you want." Ukano said and as soon as that, he went outside to attend to his kids. Liang looked back to the young girl and opened his mouth awaiting the food.

Hana gently placed the bit of fish into his mouth and let go, pulling the chopsticks away, "I think I heard among their speaking, his name's Liang... It's an interesting name..." She stirred the rice a little bit more, pulling out another peice of fish and holding it out to him, "I wonder if Ukano could teach me some of the language the two were talking in..."

A few months have passed as Fung Liang stayed with the fisherman and Hana. During the stay, Liang was able to finally recover and began his studies. Liang's first attempt at the japanese language failed horribly. Ukano took it so seriously that one night he had Liang balance on a pole in the middle of the water while reading and studying all of the dialect and japanese writing. All Liang had was a terrible headache and a stomach in pain from hunger. While Liang suffered terribly, Ukano would teach Hana some of the chinese dialect. She herself had trouble learning, but she definately had better luck at learning than he did. It took him about four months before he finally got the basic of the japanese language. Learning further, his lessons were about to be interupted...
At the market, Liang was seen around one of the huts gathering bags of rice or some sort. With a heave and a ho, Liang threw the bag onto his shoulders and seemed to be able to carry them quite easily. Liang could only carry two bags on each shoulder though. Nodding to the register and struggling to pay for what he bought, he noticed something missing while he was walking away. He looked to his left. And then to his right. Then with a circle, he cocked his head back and called out in the japanese tongue, "Hey! Hana! Where are you? We're heading back!"

Hana looked to the side, quickly placing down some money on a counter and picking up her new item. She quickly walked through the streets of the marketplace, having found what she was looking for in the near middle of the place. She kept dodging people, trying her best not to run into them, but failed just as she was about to exit the marketplace. She stopped, feeling her shoulder hit someone else's shoulder. She turned around slowly, seeing an angry man. She stood upright before bowing, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to run into you!" She stood upright again looking at him before slowly stepping back and turning around, hearing the man unsheath his weapon. She began to run, giving out a small scream as she ran past Liang, the man stood there laughing as he resheathed his katana.

The scream ran past him as it trailed off a little. Liang looked behind him and saw the man and then forward seeing Hana running. Liang chuckled at this and looked to the man. After a quick bow, he ran after Hana. He called out to her to stop her from running any farther. "Hana! Stop running! I can't run as fast as you with these on my shoulders!" Liang laughed as he ran with a dragging feel to his feet.
