Arch kept his flask just in the corner of the window as he watched Brooks walk away through the reflection. He stood, carefully opening the door and letting himself in. He took a swig before he put the flask away, then started to carefully sneak around the halls, seeing what he could.

In the entryway was the secretary main desk, with filing cabinets in the back. There were a few office doors but most of them were locked, brook's office door was opened a few inches, but the lights were off and he was probably already asleep.

Arch snuck quietly over to the filing cabinets, opening the one that's label looked the most reliable for info on Ruby and started thumbing through it. "Animal fornication? Whaih ihs thihs shiht ihn heah?" Arch said as he kept flipping.

Ruby's file was in the cabinet over, and inside was a few pictures of Ruby, and a breif history of her medical records, some dates ones that were easily remembered, others before Arch knew her, and then nothing after the mimic revolution, but a small note penciled in. "Atlanta--Tues @10:15, August 29"

Arch took the contents of the folder, rolling them up and fitting them into his pocket, slowly closing the cabinet, turning towards the door, then deciding to sneak around a bit more.

Arch's searching leads him to the local caffeteria, where some of the officers were eating lunch, some of them were not in uniforms, having just exited the training area, so Arch's presence would generally go unnoticed.

Arch, not knowing this tidbit, quickly dashed across the door, continuing past.

Past the cafeteria was the training area, and if Arch really wanted a look at naked cops, he could easily sneak into the locker rooms and get his fill.

Most people didn't bother looking up as Arch entered the cafeteria, continuing with their lunch. Today's menu, macaroni and cheese.

I'm a new recruit here, an I'm kinda lookin fer pointers. Got any to offer?"

A few of them looked up, one of them shrugged, "Don't do anythng stupid for one, stay out of Brooks way for another, and don't look closely at Brook's ticket records."

"Just stuff, mostly the higher officers, their guns, and the like. There's a cell-unit for big time supers, but I don't think it's ever been used." One of the guys took a drink, "So when did you sign up?"

"So somethin's been botherin me. Why do we have the signs up fer that Ruby chick's bounty? I hear from Brooks she's dead."
