Sawia jumped, squealing a bit herself at Kari's sudden appearance. "You scared me!" she giggled, poking at the pink cheetah with a paw. "Your turn! Come find me!"
She waited for Kari to begin counting, ready to dart away once she heard the first number.

Kari squeaked when she was poked and lifted a paw to peek out at Sawia, grinning widely. She uncovered her eyes and lifted her head again, "Haha! Sorry, but you found me!" When her friend gave instructions, she nodded excitedly and resumed her ducked, eye-cover position.
"Oone," she started, mentally grinning and remembering learning to count with Uri, "Two, threeeee~"

She darted off into the grass, scrambling for the first cover she found -- a small rock outcropping. She dove behind it, and found a tiny hole in the rocks she could just barely wriggle into -- her growing body was almost too large for it.
Her neck fur prickled in excitement as she crouched there, waiting for Kari.

"Tennnnn," she called out loudly, and remained crouched with her eyes covered for several seconds more in case they were needed to hide. Kari took one paw from her eyes and glanced around cautiously, then removed the other one. When she didn't immediately spot Sawia, she got to her feet and took a better look around.
Sawia was hidden, and it seemed like she was good at it so far! With a laugh, Kari started her search, heading in a wide circle before heading into the grass to look for her friend.
"Sawia," she called as she went.

Sawia shivered from her hiding place; Kari was still a ways away from her, but not too far. She tried to back further down into her hiding place, but she was having problems moving now. She changed her mind, instead becoming motionless where she was and ignoring the cramp that was becoming noticeable in her right hip.

"Sawiaaa," she called in a hushed voice as she searched through the grasses. Kari was heading in the wrong direction, but she wasn't aware of it yet. She heard nothing of the struggle Sawia had with the rocks, that ended quickly. She headed for some trees, and walked circles around them before deciding that her friend was not hiding there.
She was taking her time, going rather slowly. The rocks remained untouched, until she stopped and took a look around. Sawia was very good at hiding, she thought. When the rocks caught her eyes, she walked closer, carefully. She didn't expect Sawia to be there, but she would check~

Kari's voice was growing fainter, Sawia realized. She was heading in the wrong direction. She huddled where she was, whiskers twitching. Part of her was wishing Kari would hurry up and find her, so she could get out of her hiding place and stretch.
Then she heard the sound of paws not far away. Kari had circled around without Sawia knowing, and had practically snuck up on her!

(( lol, this has taken so long that Kari's gone from juvenile to adult XD ))
Kari continued creeping up to Sawia with no regard to how loud she was actually being, all of Lefika's hunting tips gone from her mind as she aimed for the rocks. When she was close enough, she wriggled excitedly and prepared to leap onto the rocks to check behind them. With a small gasp, she leapt forward and upward- only to find herself unable to get steady footing and fall back.
"Eee!" she squeaked as she fell back to the grass beside the rocks. Kari lifted her head and shook it vigorously in response to the fall, then made a face at the rocks. Had she seen Sawia before she fell?

((I know, I'm horrible, >.< XD;; ))
Sawia felt her eyes squeeze shut; Chuakari was soclose! She heard her gasp, then felt claws grabbing for a foothold on the rock before Kari fell back. Sawia let out a startled, high-pitched squeak. Well, whether or not Kari had seen her before she fell, she'd certainly heard her.
She poked her head up out of her hiding spot. She almost got stuck trying to free herself, but a little wriggle and she came loose to see Kari recovering from her fall. "You okay?"

(( I didn't mean it as a bad thing XD I'm just amused by it. ))
Just when Kari's eyes turned back to the rocks, Sawia peeked out from behind them- and made her jump back in surprise. She did see Sawia, and she still startled her. The small cheetah started to giggle as she righted herself and got to her feet.
"Yeah, I'm ok," she grinned up at Sawia, the continued in a sing-song voice, "I found you~"

"Yeah you did," Sawia grinned back -- or started to, but interrupted herself with an involuntary yawn. She wanted to stick around and play with her new friend, but she couldn't deny that she was tired, and wanted to find her mother.
"I gotta go," the black and white cheetah cub admitted, regret clear on her face. "Maybe we can play again sometime?"

Kari's grin faded ever so slightly when Sawia yawned, she knew that it meant her friend was not likely to stay around much longer. She made a slightly disappointed face, but nodded- she wouldn't argue or force her to stay. That wouldn't be very nice.
"Ok!" she squeaked, "I'll see you around then."
The small cheetah was pleased to have made a friend in the coalition, the first creature she'd met that was her age.
(( yay XD Thanks for the RP <3 Dare I suggest another RP sometime? ^^ hehe ))
