Ger was shocked. He opened his mouth to say something and then closed it again. It was strange to have another bathe him, and a leopard, not only that but a male. "Y-you just.....groomed me, Kujack." he whispered a little taken back by what just happened. Maybe he shouldn't tell him that it always comes back, to just not groom him.
Ger put his paws down, side by side, and kept them there. "Alright, I won't paw at it unless it comes back. Got to keep myself clean somehow..." he said, sitting himself tall. "Kujack, have you been alone long?" a hint of concern and curiousity filled his voice when he spoke.

*Jack didn’t really answer Ger’s question at first… he felt no need. Why did it matter to him anyway? Jack’s life was his own problem and not anyone else’s. Narrowing his gaze the male yawned and looked away from Ger, as if to act as though he wasn’t listening. Something inside of him shut down though… why was he so alone?*
"I have been this way all of my life..."
*Snapping out of it Jack’s paws pulled in front of him and with a soft snarl he clawed the ground.*

Ger saw the leopard's reaction to his own reply. He seemed he didn't want to talk about it. Ger sort of recoiled and curled himself up. It would seem that some things about Kujack should not be talked about. Ger relaxed and sat before Kujack, mimicking his posture.
"So, Kujack. Do you happen to know which way Pride Rock is?" he asked. Ger was lost. After Kujack's redirection, and a night sleep, Ger had forgotten his path back home. He was lost out here in teh savannah with a leopard. "If I can't get home, then I got no where else to go..."

"I know how to get there. I have been before."
*He nodded slightly, his tail curving along his side as he eyed Ger. So the cub wanted to go home now? Jack felt a bit upset over this but understood. He’d take him home.*
"Come on, I’ll show you how to get there."

Ger doubled back on his thought. Does he really want to go home? Or would he rather be out here free with Kujack."D-dad." he whispered. He knew Kujack told him not to say it, but he wanted to get the leopard's attention. "C-could I stay with you for a while?" he asked, head low, ears flicked back. "I-I don't think I am ready to go home yet..." something was welling up inside of him again, but the cub supressed it...for now.
Kujack was more of a family than the lions of Pride Rock.Sure he liked the king and queen, his mother, and his friends. But it was so dull that he had to venture out during the day. But if he was with Kujack, there are a whole lot of adventures out there everyday and night. "....Dad?"

*Jack nodded slightly and pulled a paw up to his maw. Licking it slowly he listened to Ger and surged. It was up to the cub. When he wanted to go back Jack would take him. Pulling his paw back down the male eyed Ger.*
"What?"
*He asked, pulling himself to sit up, his back arching inward.*

Ger shuffled his paws, "Kujack, I want to stay with you for a while." he replied. He flinched afterwards expecting him to lash out at him or something. Ger didn't want to go back yet, who would miss him? Only two, Trina and his mother. Ger seemed to curled himself up, shivering, from what Kujack would say. If he said no then he would have to return home.

*With a slight smile the leopard nodded and licked his left paw before slowly pulling it down to the ground. Ger was no problem and didn’t make Jack too crazy- so why not? With a soft sigh Kujack rolled himself beside the lion cub and laughed slightly, his tail batting from side to side.*
"You can stay Ger."

Ger's body uncoiled and he smiled up at the leopard. "R-really?" he asked, not believing what he heard. The lion curled up against the leopard's fur; it was so soft, clean, and....perfect. Ger's eyes closed half way, taking a last glimpse of the leopard before falling alseep, "Thank you, Dad...."
