Chomo watched the spat from where he sat in the shade, tense and worried that Nuri might get attacked, aware that should such an event occur, he would not hesitate to toss aside his prior descision.
However, something akin to relief flooded him as Kiuma stalked off, diffusing much of the tension hanging around. He was indifferent to her harsh words, in his own mind partially agreeing with her as to the descent of the pride. His families' blood however, as far as he was concerned, was pure and not spoiled by inbreeding.
Ra, normally the one to dive in with physical threats, knew when he was hopelessly outmatched, if it was something his father would not have anything to do with, and something even his mother showed a sort of caution around, he would stay put.

The white lion snarled, clearing he was not the only one infuriated by the firekin's words, though the faint smirk on his maw showed that he'd have expected no less from the red lioness. He stood at her side, his gaze narrowed, talons flexing to slice into the hard earth beneath his paws, his body tensing, muscles coiling with every words she spoke as if preparing for the explosive reation that her words would surely ignite. But then she simply turned and walked away, and Tanaka could not conceal his surprise.
"What?"
She had to be kidding. She wanted to just back down and walk away from those who had callenged them and dared to threaten their children? He was the god of conclict, a demon on earth, Tanaka did not back down from anyone, ever. But he wouldn't leave his mate's side either...
But rather than simply walking away, Tanaka snarled, taking a warning step toward the firekin before sidestepping, placing himself between the threat and Kiuma, his green eye narrowed menacingly, watching even as he moved away to follow Kiuma. Every step he took was guarded, his body coiled to repeal whatever attack may come. His maw parted to release and ear-splitting threatening roar. He would not hesitate to kill anyone who threatened his family, in fact he would relish in tearing them to shreds and staining the sands with their blood.

The lioness walked with loose, swinging strides, ignoring both the pair of Firekin and her mate's deafening roar. Anger seethed in her making her muscles tense and tight, but she refused to acknowledge the cause of it. If the other lions didn't care to fight, then she'd not put her children in danger, much as she hated just walking away.
Soft ears swiveled to cat the sound of paws behind her, reasuring herself that her mate follow close on her heels. Suddenly, the world crashed back in on her, and Kiuma was once more aware of her thirst, of the hot sun on her back, and the loose soil under her paws. With the threat passed, it seemed her body wanted to remind her of all the little annoyances from before as her mind skipped ahead of her paws. There had to be away to get farther into the desert... some way to slip through the pride with no more confrontations like this one.

Nuri smirked softly, before turning her head and looking to her son.
"They were lucky Naraka, to feel the wrath of the true blood...anyone else would be weak and let them pass, remember that. Always follow what you have been taught, always protect what is yours..." She lowered her head to nuzzle them, before a wicked smirk crossed her maw. Suddenly, her voice let out louder, a clear act to get the others to listen. Why not stir up trouble as they were leaving the lands.
"In two months time, when we are ready to leave, the lands will lose the last strength they hold, young one. No more will our family protect these lands, only the weak members who still follow Finar-si will be left." And with that, she turned and padded off, clearly pleased with herself and ready to gloat to her reflection as she got rid of the heat. At her own heels, a small dark red juvenile rushed after.
"Give it time, my son."
