Nuuu! If it wasn't for the witch, the doll couldn't be "alive" and use the "swirly slash attack" on his hair...so I say it's the witch's fault.

xd Yes, but -techically- literally speaking, twas the doll. That witch lady was physically elsewhere, so I still blame the doll more. Even though that witch lady wasn't much better. -_-
Yes, "swirly slash attack..." xd Well, the doll was spinning in the air, defying gravity and such, and then the 'slash' part was when she went for the hair, and the attack = the attack. xDDDDD'
and I sort of concur with Shaded_Whispers. XD

I find that Sakaki is the only near to normal one in the group. Its nice though cause it gives a balance to the show. 3nodding

The best Sakaki moment is probably when he gets attacked by factory in episode 24, and his classic response is "s**t! What's this all about?" and "Why are you here" (when he sees Doijima) "What's going on here?" (when he sees Robin and Amon)
c'est funny cause it sums up his character (to an extent)

I wouldn't say bait as much as human punching bag, I agree poor kid does seem to get the worst of it, guess its a way from the writters having to write in a new red-shirt wearing character in every week who gets killed off in some weird way.
Just re watched the first part of simple mind again and cracked up at his reaction when Robin dang near torched him, poor guy.

Nyarh! I'm also in love with Haruto Sakaki! (yes, I said his full name cos I'm obsessed. whee )
I read on wikipedia that he's the newest member of the group after Robin and was at first afraid of being fired on her arrival. cry I also think it's sad how he's normally the first to come in direct contact with a witch's powers.

He's so inexperienced, but as the series went on, he was better (or so I'd like to think~ wink ) with witch hunting.
Haruto was always so nice to watch when I watch WHR (he's just too adorable!). biggrin His voice actor, whose name I cannot recall right now, also made his character really good. biggrin (Both the English and Japanese, although I am more familiar with the English.)
