Shinya. At first, it was Totchi, but it's Shinya now and forever more. *claws eyes out on girl who says Shinyas not pretty! He's BEAUTIFUL!! I love his nose...*

I think Shinya's pretty. I've always liked his sense of style, and the same goes for Die~
I love all the members. I think that's the upside to many Jrock bands - more than just the vocalist gets attention. The whole band does. x3

I love all the members. I think that's the upside to many Jrock bands - more than just the vocalist gets attention. The whole band does. x3 Yaaay! That's what used to bother me about the bands I listened to - I'd like someone other than the vocalist *usually the drummer or bassist* and all my friends wouldn't even remember their names.... made me mad.

Indeed, most Western bands are more like.. Vocalist is the band, and the other guys/girls are just the people backing them. In reality, a band isn't a band without all of the musicians! I really respect that Japanese rock vocalists are more likely to step back and join their bandmates, rather than stealing the spotlight.
I, too, often find myself paying more attention to the guitarists than the singer. >_>

Iyami_of_Ra Midorihoshii Yeah, for me the drummer and bassist are the most important members of a band. You can't have a band without them. (Well, unless you want to have them synthesized, which is lame XP.)
Yeah, I adore the guitar, so I tend to listen to that more than anything. Listening to a foreign language also allows one to hear everything, and really enjoy the fruits of a badass band. xD I think people generally think that the ability to sing makes you the best kind of musician, and therefore not bothering to stop and realize the skill it takes to be a great musician - playing any instrument, not just singing.

i always have a phase now i'm in love with Kyo again, before it was Die, then Kaoru, then Totchi, then Shinya, then Die again, then Totchi, and now it's Kyo. I love them all equally biggrin

Except two of my friends think Shinya is the prettiest... they never say most handsome though, it's always 'prettiest' XD

I was listening to Karasu while voting in the poll...weird thing was, I screamed exactly when Kyo screamed...cuz I just KNEW that Kyo would have the most votes...
I say Shinya...
I'm not gonna explain why...
If I did, then this post would turn into a reckless rant...
(And it already somewhat is...)
One of my friends is a Toshiya fangirl...another is a Die fangirl...another is a Shinya fangirl...and another is a Kyo fangirl...none of my friends really talk much about Kaoru...=[ which makes me sad cause he's cool...probably my second favorite member...so...it goes like this for me...
1) Shinya
2) Kaoru
3) Die/Toshiya(maybe Toshiya a little bit more than Die...but that's just cause his hair looks like mine...)
4) Kyo
I don't really like or hate Kyo...
I respect him...
Just like how I respect Utada Hikaru...
They both have amazing vocal ranges and they just put SO much emotion in their songs...they're just amazing...if I ever meet either of them I'd probably spazz out and rant about how amazingly talented they are and just pass out from lack of air or something...ha...I can see myself passing out for that reason......

I absolutely love all of them for thier own reasons, but I'd pick Kaoru as my favorite. He just seems to radiate this awesome confidence. I love it ^_^

crying It feels so wrong to pick favorites because I luv them all...I really do! But even if Kaoru bought me a mansion, Die bought me a 50k gold ring, Shinya bought me a puppy, Totchi bought me every game in the world, and Kyo bought a pizza, I'd still pick Kyo over all else! As much as I hate to say it, I'm smitten with him and would even dump my own bf if Kyo asked me out ((which, don't worry, will never happen... cry ))
rofl sry about the poetry but I had to get my point across...Not like I would ever get an elaborate gift from someone of the opposite sex much less a Dir en grey member stare

I've gone through many. First it was Toshiya, then Die, then Shinya, then Kaoru, and now Kyo... I can't make up my mind between Shinya and Kyo... Both are pretty sexy. I have to say though, I can't really choose. They're all too darn hot.
They've got mad musician skills, Shinya's an awesome drummer, Die and Kaoru and Die are great guitar players, and Totchi is just... Wow.
Kyo says he loves to sing... I have faith in him and all, but he needs to quit smoking if he does.
