I've still to see it. I just hate paying so much money on a ticket that is pretty much half of what the DVD will cost when it comes out.
I have such inner battles over that problem.
I love the comunal experience of going to the cinema...but then I know if I love the film I see enough then I'll want it on DVD... maybe my ideal film experience is going to the cinema but only kinda liking the film. But then that doesn't sound quite right.
Also, the films I skipped at the cinema intending to catch up on them later is growing out of controll...I've yet to see House of Flying Daggers, Garden State, or I heart Huckabees.
You might want to take a pass on HOFD, Doreen. Out of the recent period fantasy martial arts films, it's easily the weakest. It takes the concept of weaving a plot full of mystery, intrigue, and double crossing so far that it becomes a parody of itself.
