* Your show's theme * What percussion instrument you play * Problem sections in your music, etc.
We're play Heatbeat by Key Poulan... which i'm sure many of you have played before. It constists of: Mvt.1 Adrenaline Rush, Mvt. 2 The Passionate Heart, Mvt.3 Heart Attack. Our Drum Instructor/Assistant Band Director worte all of the percussion parts himself, so as far as the drumline goes.. we're playing some pretty origonal stuff, and it's pretty hard. I'm in the pit, and i play Vibes in the opener and the closer, and lower marimba in the ballad In the ballad all of the mallet players are playing 4 mallets. in the other two songs i only play two. My sections only problem is the disapline level... other than that, I'm confident that we're the best pit in our county. I'm not sure what the battery's issues are... i think our battery is AWESOME!
i my heart drum line

First thing, I must mention, Drumline rox my sox....and the bass line kicks @$$
Anyways, yes....our music isn't easy. Last year, I was a flute so I wasn't on it; the people from last year tell me the Drumline last year sucked horribly. The bass line couldn't even play 8th note runs
This year, 3 flutes, 1 clarinet, and 1 of the bass people from last year made up the bass line this year. The one bass person is a guy and the rest of us are girls. I myself, and bass #3
Anyways, we can do runs at the speed of light, not to brag I swear. But its a huge difference compared to next year. Everyone loves it and Will, our director has beefed up parts so much that its extremely hard....but awesome once we get it.
Our show this year is Life and Times of Billy the Kid: The Outlaw. In the center, there is a gun battle before tenors/snares and the basses....yea. And during some songs there are little solo spots for the Drumline.

Our theme this year is kinda latin.
It goes as follows: Estancia Perfidia[ballad] Caravan Echano[drum feature!]
I'm in pit, as I've said a few times, I actually like our music this year, its hard s**t though, but we got it down, well at least percussion has it down.

this year our theme is "A Change of Heart" with symphony #1 by i cant remember, on a hymsong with phillip bliss, and blue shades. i play quints and since its my first year on them the music is kinda hard but im thinking for anyone used to quints itd be slightly challenging. blue shades sucks cuz for a good part of it is swung eigth notes which i cant do worth a damn.

My Music isnt that hard. i got kicked out of band for one quarter for socking a freshman in the face i was the bass section leader and the kid is the guy who never listens to me about the visual i tell him to do and he thinks hes higher than me cuz his bass is bigger than mine. its not how big it is, its how well you play it. he got what was coming to him. hes a p***k.

Your show this year was drum role please LIKE TOTALY 80'S This was my funnest show yet. The pit had AWSOME parts. I got to play the malletkat which is like an electronic marimba. First movement included: Take on Me, a little of Were Not Gonna Take It and Mister Roboto, Call Me Second movement: THRILER biggrin with a bit of Billy Jean Third movement: True Colors (really cool flags) Fourth movement: Nintynine Red Balloons, COOLEST DRUM BREAK EVER, a cool mixture of 8675309 overlaping Come on Eileen We also had a BIG RUBICS CUBE that we built throughout the entire show
