Later, Selma lay next to Tali on the bed, her head on his chest and her hand resting on his stomach. She had...surprised herself with what she had been willing and wanted to do, expecially with what had happened with Manelin earlier. But then again, maybe it was because of it....or maybe it was because soon, she knew she would be seperated from Tali for an indefinate amount of time. She felt that, although she hadn't intended for them to do this, she was happy that she had been able to share this with him.

Selma may have been complacent, but inside Tali's head thoughts, emotions, and the Elements only knew what else was going on. Part of him was pleased, content and generally in a good mood. But part of him was fretting. Things hadn't gone at all like the book has said and parts of it had been down right embarrassing. Idly, the young man stroked Selma's hair, matted as it was, as the two lay there.

After a few minutes, Selma turned her head and body so that she could look at Tali, proping her chin on her hand. She studied him for a moment, her expression and body relaxed.
"You ok Tali?" she asked, giving him a slight smile. "You're quiet...."
Her mind was mostly free of confusion and worries. Before today, she had still been in the dark as to the finer details of what it was that adults sometimes did together. She had a faint idea, but she hadn't read things as in depth as Tali had. For the most part, she had just gone on instinct, so she didn't have any real expectations or things to be embarassed about.

"Yeah," he said with a small smile. "I didn't.. Er.. that is.." The young man ducked his head in embarrasment, not quite sure how to frame his question. He may have been embarrassed but as long as he hadn't let down Selma, then it was allright. Now if he could just phrase the question without turning a million shades of purple and getting his tounge all twisted around.

"You didn't what?" she looked at him curiously as he tried to state his question. She ran her free hand along his arm reassuingly, trying to make him feel more comfortable to say what was on his mind. She wondered if it had to do with their little bit of difficulty getting started, but she figured that was normal?

Tali drew in a deep breath. "Did... you enjoy.... it?" he asked hesitantly, finally stumbling into the question. "I mean.. well.. I hope I didn't dissapoint you...." His tounge was definately twisted around and as for the shades of purple. It wasn't just confined to his face but hopefully no one was going to look under the sheets.

"Well....it hurt a little, at first, but after that, I very much enjoyed it." She smiled and leaned over, giving him a kiss on the lips and running a hand across his bare chest
"It's something I certainly hope we have the chance to do again someday?" she asked, testing the waters, as Tali had seemed a bit uncomfortable.
"You enjoyed it, didn't you?" she asked. At least she thought he had.

"It wasn't really what I expected," Tali confessed quietly. Some of the things, Tali felt his face reheat, weren't like the book. He shrugged uneasily, "but it was.. nice."
((FYI; the book he's talking about is a cheesy romance novel his Matron gave him. You know... the stupid things that are usually mostly just sex scenes.
*pats Tali* And he's normally so good with vocabulary.))

"What did you expect?" she asked, confused. Had she done something wrong? Her Matron hadn't given her a book, so she didn't know if there was something she was supposed to do that she hadn't?

Tali sort of shrugged. "Fireworks?" he replied, a bit of a question on his voice. He couldn't really explain it but the book made it sound like this was the only thing adults wanted to do. "It was nice but.. I don't really understand why people would want to do this so much."

"Well...." Selma thought for a moment, remembering their first real kiss, which hadn't been that long ago.
"Maybe...like kissing, and most other things...it...takes some practice to get good at?" She shrugged, not really sure, herself.
