"Gavin!" Ina cried back, leaning forward as far as she could in her car seat. Which wasn't very far, since it kept pulling her back. She was smiling and struggling at the same time, which was a rather odd sight, but it was obvious she was happy to see him too.
Ari laughed a the two of them, "Alright you two, settle down." She slipped her hands under Gavin's arms and lifted him up, placing him neatly in the second carseat, which normally held Luca. Before the boy could protest she strapped him in, clicking the buckle shut. She then stepped back, shut the car door and walked all the way around again to the driver's seat. She smiled at Remi, "I'll take good care of him and drop him off tonight." She then opened her door and slide into the seat.

"Alright, I'll see you tonight then," Remi smiled and waved before returning to her apartment. She wanted to finish at least one chapter of her new book today. Having a toddler around made writing go slowly, so today was going to be completely devoted to catching up...
On either writing or sleep, she wasn't sure yet.
Gavin 'erked' when Ari lifted him up into the car and into the carseat. Well this was just lovely. The belts kept him from moving much at all, and his softies were squished. He looked at Ina in horror,
"Why we trapped?"
Was this some ploy for the adults to keep them from having fun?! How dare they!

"We in car," Ina said sagely, nodding her head as her ears drooped slightly. Using her toddler wisdom she explained, "Car go fast, so mommy said we need be safe." How did this tight thing make her safe? She didn't know. Did she like it? Hell no. But mommy would not drive the fast car if she wasn't in it. Which was sad...she liked the car, at least when the windows were rolled down or when they were going somewhere fun.
Ari wasted no time in starting the car and heading off back the way they had come. The drive was about 10 minutes long, which really wasn't that bad in her opinion. It was a good thing too, because sometimes Ina fussed when she brought her to the compound and the shorter the ride the better.

Gavin nodded in understanding, though in truth he didn't understand a word. He had just learned that what he was currently strapped into was a car. How was he supposed to know it went fast? When the car started, Gavin's eyes widened as he watched everything zoom past the window.
"Woah!" he awed, watching trees and such go past them in a blur. Why didn't his Mommy have one of these? He decided he liked cars now. Even the carseat wasn't that bad, considering all he wanted to do was stare out the window the whole time.

"Mommy~!" Ina complained loudly, placing her hands on the windows again. "Windows down!" she whined, making fingerprints all over the glass. It was almost like she was doing it on purpose, just so Ari would roll down the windows to get her to stop. Ari quickly complied, rolling both windows by the children half the way down. Wind rushed through and the sound of air wooshing by became really load, at least to Ina. But she loved the fresh air, much like how a dog would want the windows down so it could stick it's face out.

Gavin jumped back--er, shifted back, considering he was already quite strapped in--when the window rolled down. Magic windows! It was like Haki's door that opened by itself. He squinted his eyes as the wind came at him, blowing his hair all over the place.
He liked it. Alot. It was kind of like a wind tunnel.
"Fun!" he yelled, lifting his arms up to feel the wind. He couldn't reach out the window, much to his dismay.

Ina laughed happily, feeling her tail wriggle behind her in its attempts to wag here and there. She loved having the windows down! And surprisingly, despite how loud the air rush was(at least to her sensative ears) there was something about it she liked. Plus it blew her hair everywhere making it hard to see, like a ride or something. "YEAH! Fun fun!" She agreed with Gavin, having a hard time speaking between her giggles and the noise.
Ari couldn't help but smile as the heard the two in the back. At least they could keep themselves occupied and seemed to be having fun. That was good...she hadn't been sure how Gavin would react to the car ride. She didn't know he'd never been in one, but she knew some kids didn't like going in strange places that they didn't know of.
Soon they were pulling up into the driveway and she was able to bring the car to a stop, rolling up the windows.

Gavin let out a long "awww" when the windows started to go up, but then he noticed what was outside them. Large, gigantic house. At least in his eyes. Still, it was a house. Not an apartment, or a flat, or a condo...a house. He'd never been in a house before. His jaw dropped open in amazement.
"Ina live there?" he asked.

"Yep yep!" Ina said proudly, her ears perking forward smuggly. She wasn't sure why, but liked that Gavin liked her house! And why not? It was a great house, nice and big with toys and food and tv! Yep! Great house! She was quickly reminded of her car seat, however, and frowned. She wriggled, wanting to get free. "Mommy~!" She whined, hoping to spur her motherly figure into hurrying up.
Ari quickly got out of the car and came around to Ina's door. She opened it and leaned in, snapping the buckle open and letting the car-seat straps fall back. She lifted the squirming child out and set her down on her feet on the driveway. "Now don't run off," She told the purple youngster before moving around to the otherside of the car. She did the same with Gavin, freeing him from the confining straps of the car-seat and setting him down on his feet.

Freedom!
As soon as he was back on his feet, Gavin sprinted to the other side of the car. With a bounding leap he launched himself at Ina with a huge bear--or hawk--hug. Hawk hug! He liked that term, though it didn't really mean anything to anyone but him.
"Ina!" he squeezed, as if he'd hadn't seen her in a million bajillion years. At least in his mind he hadn't. "Ina fluffier than before!"

Ina laughed in utter delight as her friend jumped on her in an embrace. She stumbled, barely about to keep her shorts legs standing on the ground due to surprise. Yet she hugged him back just as enthusiastically, wagging her tail every which way. Softie hugs were her favorite!!! "Gavin softier!" she squeeked in delight.
Ari couldn't help but chuckle in the background. Those two sure were amusing! She was glad Ina made friends so easily...but then they were at that age where dislike didn't settle in for more then a few seconds. Sometimes she missed those days herself. "Alright you two...do you want to come inside or play in the yard?" she questioned finally.

Gavin giggled at the mention of him being softier. He was getting more used to his softies and flapping them around when he's bored. But Ina had a tail, and in his mind that was the coolest thing in existence.
When Ina's mommy asked them that oh-so-important question, he looked at Ina with large, wide eyes, and then at her house.
"Want to see inside," Gavin stated with a smile, pointing toward the big house. He wanted to know what the inside of a real house looked like for once. His home was small, but this place looked big enough for many adventures to happen.

And who wouldn't think a tail was awsome? Ina loved her tail, there was no question about it. She admired her big brother's and Gavin's softies, but boy was it fun to wag around that fluffy appendage of hers! She honestly didn't understand why mommy and Luca didn't have tails...she felt bad for them. It must be horrible not to have one.
At Gavin's wide eyed, excited look she grinned brightly. "Yes! See inside!" She agreed, wriggling energetically from his hug. "Come!" she squeaked in her own thrill as she began to hurry to he house at a sort of reckless toddler run, the kind that if anything got in the way the poor girl would either trip over it or knock it over. Well, someone was sure happy!

After Ina pulled herself from him, he ran after her in the same reckless trot. Following behind Ina, at least there would be fewer things for him to trip on, fall over, or otherwise break. It was like a running behind a snowplow.
"Just you and your mommy inside?" he asked between pants while he ran. Sure was a big house for just two people. Maybe Ina had more people hidden under the floorboards or something. Now that would be cool.

"Nope!" Ina chimed, stopping to climb up the tree steps that led to the front door. It was a much easier climb then Haki's stairs. "There Eira...she's a birdie! And there Luca...he's meeaaan, I don like him. Oh! And dare is big bwudder Gawain! He has pwetty sofies like you!" she told him happily, even when she talked about the meanie toddler brother of hers. She twisted the door knob and stumbled back to get out of the way so she could open it. It was a big door after all!
