Trunks2197 r00k47 My faovrite Martial art movie is and always will be the karette kid. R.I.P Pat Morita (Mr Miyagi) I'll second that *offers a drink to Miyagi-sama* [i do hope I do not need to specify what drink I'm talking about]. I have the complete collection on DVD [all 4 movies] Though if you are looking for comedy & martial arts, in addition to Jakie Chan's movies, the 3 Ninja's movies are good for a laugh (Cast also includes the late Pat Morita, as their grandfather) wait there were 4 dvds i only have 3 i thought there was only karate kid 1 (w/ boy), karate kid 2 (w/boy), and the next karate kid (where that girl makes her apperance).

Hylonomus neko_pai when david carradine did kung fu wasnt it cos bruce refused? david didnt know any kung fu prior to the series and tony jaa is now up on my top list. kickboxer with van damme is prob my fave movie Bruce Lee didn't do Kung-Fu... and I never heard that story before. David Carrodine was a martial arts practictioner before the Kung Fu series, weather he practiced Kung Fu or not I don't know... he is a skilled martial artist though. Bruce Lee was one of the people who was involved in the Kung Fu show but they said he was to chinese for an american show so they said no to him being in it. David Carradine to my knowledge didn't get into martial arts until after he started Kung Fu. http://movies.aol.com/celebrity/david-carradine/84255/biography

I love Jet Li I have his first movie Shaolin Temple and most of the Once Apon A Time In China movies I got the first three in a box set. I love his movies one of the best is Fist of Legend I also like Twin Warriors also called Tai Chi Master.
I like the movie The 5 Deadly Venoms, Master of the Flying Guillotine, I own Shaolin Master Killer also known in China as 36 Chambers of Shaolin. Altough it's a play on DVD I got to list Shaolin Weel of life it's great and has real Shaolin warrior monks showing there stuff. I also own the first set of Kung Fu the tv series.
I also like some of the old Ninja movies the first American Ninja movie was good the others sucked Enter the Ninja is a good one the one I like the most has Christopher Lambert from the Hilander movies it's called The Hunted great Ninja movie a little more realistic.
I can go on for a wile on martial arts movies like Iron Monkey and other movies. I like most of Jackie's stuff except some of the last few Drunken Master is one I can't stop watching .

There are 4 Movies. I have them in a box set of 3 Discs Karate Kid Part 1 (Tournament - Daniel makes a name for himself) Karate Kid Part 2 (Daniel goes with Miyagi to Okinawa) Karate Kid Part 3 (Daniel is coaxed into fighting in another tournament, and wins with Miyagi's help and instruction) The Next Karate Kid (the one with the girl who studies under Miyagi)

Mangafairy DarkAngel_09 My favorite person is Jackie Chan. He's extremely talented and funny. The others are great, but they're too serious for me. One of Jackie's awesome movies is Drunken Master. In this film, Jackie fights best when he's drunk. Anyone else have any favorite fighting shows? OMG!!! JACKIE CHAN!!! I love his movies he's so funny but his movies even though they are martial-arts movies children can watch them because he makes great movies without blood and gore! He's brilliant! Except for The Myth (San Wa) in which he's literally standing on a mountain of bodies by the end of the film...Shame that film was only meh, I had such high hopes for a Jackie Chan Wu Xia film. Theme song is wonderful though.

Since the majority of Chan's films get at the very least a direct to video release...it's possible. Tho since the film is a bit different from your usual Chan film, it's also possible that it'll stay in HK for a while...Either way, if you were desperate you could import it. Tho there are better Chan films and definitely better Wu Xia films to import than San Wa. I suggest familiarizing yourself with Tsui Hark (The Blade, , the Zu films, Seven Swords, or Chinese Ghost Story Trilogy, that's not even counting the films he helped produce)...that or King Hu (Touch of Zen for sure, or Come Drink with Me) if you want to go oldskool...I still need to see Wu Ji (The Promise) myself, tho I hear it's "meh" as well...

According to the biography, he was adept at martial arts before Kung Fu, which is why he was chosen.

As far as I know he didn't have any training I may be wrong but I don't know for shure I just posted that so others could read it. I heard he walked in to the interview with a shaved head he shaved it after he made some movie and if I remember right he said he was walking bare foot when he went for some reason it was in one of his books. I never got a chance to read the whole book so I can't say much about it. He talked about the Bruce Lee thing though he said he didn't know much about it but from what he heard they felt it wouldent work with him as the lead character.

TaeKyon Vicious_Truth Ah well i have connection to people and its on its way from hk asap. I'm assuming you are aware of region coding? i'm sure you are aware of the PS2's Action Replay Max In addition to games, it works wonders on imported DVD's by bypassing the region code for the console [not quite sure how though, i'm no programmer]
