If I really anjoyed the book and I know i'm going to want to read it again 50 thousand times then i'll buy it. Most of the book I own I read before I bought them.

Most of the time I read a book, and then buy it. I'm not really fond of borrowing books from libraries, because they tend to get all beat up. I love buying books at used books stores and flea markets, though. Most of the time the ones there are in really nice shape.

Of course! If I really like a book that I don't own then I know I'll want to re-read it, or re-read parts of it, so I might as well buy it. I'll venture out and buy books I haven't heard about, but as I'm a poor college student I'll probably read more in stores now.

Yes, if it's a book I like. Sometimes I'll impulse-buy, but that's the exception, not the rule.

I barely buy a book when I didn't unless I know the author is good

Depends on the book actually. I just left two whole boxes of books around my town. Never read them and didn't care to have them taking up space. ^_^ However if I've read it and want a friend to read it I'll buy the book/series and send them one book at a time. Speaking of that I need to get my Dreams Made Flesh by Anne Bishop back from my friend. neutral

I only buy books I've already read if they're really good and worth rereading. Otherwise, I've read it, and therefore don't need to spend more money.

I just recently bought the Harry Potter books, and usually I would buy books after reading the,. since I don't like havingbooks on my shelf that I never read again.

Yes, because I reread books all the time, especially if I enjoyed them imensely.
Everytime I check a book out of the library and return it, when I want to reread it, it's always just been checked out.

I usually do, if it's a book I especially enjoyed and know that I will definitely read it again. So like...if I found a book at the library and enjoyed it, then I would probably buy it. Unless y'know, I happened to be poor and money-less. crying

Mink Biscuit I do if the book was really good, and I think I might want to let one of my friends read it. I try to serve as a library for good taste. I don't get to buy books to often so I will only buy one that look really good or I know is good and I just have to read it over and over. I mostly just buy the books in a series that I have yet to read. One of my best friends buys books all the time and I mostly borrow from her. We have similar taste in books so everything works.(Best librarian ever! heart heart ) She hates how I will have numbers 2,3,6,7,and9 in a series though. She refuses to buy in the middle. Oh well, all the better for me.

Definitely. I usually borrow books from the library and if they're really good, I buy them. Also, if I'm at a used bookstore and I see a hardback of a paperback I've already got I snap it right up.

If I really liked the book when I originally read it, then I would definetely buy. That has annoyed my mom before. She gets this look in her face and then says, "Haven't you already read this?" She's not a big believer in rereading...
