((I forget can humans understand stardusts?))

Lyra was as suprised as Makram. She blinked and regained her composure. She chuckled and moved over to the lake and drink. She finnished and dryed her beak in her feather fur as she looked back at Makram.

(XD Nope, but they can sort of..gesture lol )

Makram looked back to Dana and nuzzled her hand as she tried to pat him again. As much as he loved his human though, he did prefer to be alone..so he gestured back in the direction of town.

Dana took the hint and looked back to the female dragon before turning, giving her a smile. "He's not as uptight as he looks" she said with a laugh. Of course she received a rather sour look from Makram before she started her slow walk back to town, leaving them be at least for the moment.

((OKay))

"Makram is it?" She joked as she walked to him. She started intently for a second. "You have been hurt haven't you? Never mind it isn't any of my buisness. I'm Lyra by the way." She gave a dark chuckle as she walked by him brushing her side to his. After she had passed him she turned to see his reaction.

Makram's eyes widened in suprise at her statement. How on earth does she know.. A flash of paranoia went through him, eating away at his calm. I must have given myself away...stupid, stupid Makram.. he thought bitterly.

Her touch sent a jolt through him, making him twitch and jerk to get away, causing him to trip and flop over into the lake in a comical fashion. Even more amusing still was his squeak of suprise as he fell in and attempted to swim. So there he was, splashing about in the lake, his calm and dignified demeanor completely gone.

Lyra thought it funny when he jumped away but was scared for him when he fell into the lake.

"Can you swim?" She called out running to the edge of the lake. She wished she had wings now so she could help him. This is my fault if I hadn't gone so far then he wouldn't have fallen in. Why do I do this? Why do I hurt others? Why?

Makram managed to keep his head above the water as he splashed about in the lake, the look on his face was still comic suprise. Slowly he made his way back to the lake's edge to pull himself back up onto land. The lake water was chilly, and it seemed even colder still when the light desert winds blew across him and chilled his feathers.

Shivering, he shook out his featherful much like a dog would, flinging droplets of water every which way. Makram looked over to Lyra and noted her concern, sensing her next question. "I'm alright.." he said softly, laying down and curling up at the edge of the lake, "The water is just..chilly..that's all.." He shrugged slightly and hid his shivers, beginning to think that Lyra may not be so bad..if she really was concerned about him of course. Although, to Makram's dissapointment, there really was no way for him to tell for certain.

"You look freesing. I'll be right back. Wait here." She sprinted off into the forest. She ran past her human who had just started to cook his dinner.

"Looking for sumthin' Lyra" He asked his mouth full of berries.

Lyra pantamimed shivering and a pitiful sound like she was cold.

"Blanket's in my bed roll. Have it back by morning alright."

Lyra nodded as she sprinted to the bed roll and took the blanket in her beak. She was glad Makram had said something about it earlier. She sprinted back and put it over him leaving his head uncovered.

Makram accepted the blanket gratefully and huddled up underneath it. After a few minutes his shivers began to die down and his breathing started to calm as well. Slowly he lifted his head to take a look at Lyra, seeing the concern that had taken over her face. The emotion looked genuine enough to him. Maybe she could be trusted...we'll have to see.. he thought.

"Thank you Lyra..I didn't know you had a blanket nearby.." he said softly, his voice sounding almost shy now that it was losing the coldness it had held before. Perhaps he was warming up in more ways than one?

"My human is nearby. He can be useful ocasionaly." She picked at his featherfur to dry it out. "You warmer?" She was afraid that he might catch a cold. She laid down next to him and let her head lay on the ground.

Makram stiffen when Lyra touched him again, but this time he managed not to have such a bad fit that he'd end up in the water again. Sure enough, his featherfur started to dry as he stayed curled up tightly under the blanket. He stared at Lyra as she stayed by his side, and curiosity soon took over his face. It seemed remarkable to him that anyone but his human would show such worry over him.

"I'm feeling a bit better.." he said as he nosed a little of the blanket towards Lyra, offering to share it with her, "I'm glad your human had this with him then..mine lives all the way back in town." He turned his eyes back upon the lake, watching the moon reflect across it. " Although..my human wants to dig a den out here by the lake so she can stay by the water.. I can see why.." He smiled, just a little bit, at how romantic the scene of the lake reflecting moon and starlight really looked.

Lyra stayed silent and even after his featherfur was try she still combed it avoiding eye contact with him. She was blushing. She had been woried for him when she wasn't even worried for her own master when he was in trouble. She didn't want him to know. She slowed her strokes and eventualy stopped. She crawled under the blanket with him and layed her head on his back.

Makram held back a little smile and pulled the blanket over Lyra slightly. The more he was around her, the less he shook whenever she touched him. He was grateful for this, or else he would have suffered through many siezure-like fits. It wasn't so bad being this close to another dustling after all, he thought to himself. Whether he knew it or not, Makram was beginning to actually trust Lyra. He figured that if she wanted to hurt him, she wouldn't have tried to hard to make him feel better.

Dana stood a distance away under one of the trees of the forest near the lake. She saw the moonlit sihlouettes of the two dustlings in the distance and let out a soft sigh. She had never seen Makram anywhere near another dustling without him getting into a hissing and clawing fight, so the sight was truly amazing to behold. She spoke quietly to herself, staring up longingly at the moon and stars of the sky. " I suppose nothing can resist the romance of a night under stars like these.."

Lyra groomed her own feather fur and lay her head on the ground. She sighed and closed her eyes. She was glad he was okay.. She hadn't meant to hurt him. He was just having fun but she was now to. She smiled and let out another tiny sigh as she nuzzled into his chest.

AJ was sitting at the forest's edge. He was wrapped in his bedroll. He was glad Lyra was okay. He looked at Dana and dusted his shirt off. He didn't know who she was but she didn't look dangorus

Makram studied Lyra for a moment and got over his own reflexes to rest his head on her shoulder and groom the featherfur there. He hadn't done it to any other dustlings before..but he couldn't say he didn't like it. That strange 'warm-and-fuzzy' feeling was coming back, and he liked that too. It seemed to fit well with the scenery that surrounded them for some reason..the water reflecting the light from the moon and stars made everything seem..well..right.

Dana let herself yawn as she sat down at the foot of a tree and leaned against it. She had to admit that she was getting tired..but seeing Makram content with another dustling kept her awake just a while longer. In a way she envied him..Makram, who never spent much time with others, now had a close friend and possible something more soon. She herself was new in the oasis, and hadn't had many oppertunities to make friends..but perhaps she could make some..

And with that though, sleep started to sink in..

Lyra closed her eyes as he groomed her. Her heart was beating like that of a humming bird. She purred or as close as a stardust could get to a purr. She closed her eyes and let her breathing slow and let her mind drift. She was happy. That was all she cared.

AJ looked over at Dana and layed his head back to the trunk of the tree he was leaning against. He looked at the moon and closed those eyes. He knew that if Lyra, the controling conceding dustling, could find someone so could he.
