Hadrian, had been having a good day. Surely Natalie must have taken his advice, wouldn't be trusting Thorn - though he still wondered about that sleepover. What he did remember worried him...a camera? Had Dacian had a camera?
Oh, he hoped not. He really hoped not.
This good mood had left the mage feeling a bit adventurous. Which while that wasn't very exciting for other people, was a big deal for him; and with Marc working, he had chosen to spend his time in another way:
He was venturing into the maze for the first time, to see if he could find his way. Of course he'd be horribly lost, but he was in such a mood that he didn't mind.
((>.> I just had a mental image in my head of Thorn basically stalking Hadrian through the maze *snicker* Well, until he was trapped. Or in the center.))

Thorn, had he had feline genes would have started to purr. The expression that crossed his face was still the same, and so he slowed his steps until he was sure that Hadrian had entered the maze properly. The first time he had seen it, he had planned to catch the mage inside the mysterious hedge.
And now it seemed that Hadrian was doing it for him.
Following, he took a couple of steps, careful not to make it seem like he was stalking the man. So what if his steps were silent? He still managed to maintain a repose of 'I'm just strolling this way too~', as if this was all a coincidence.
If it involved Hadrian, nothing was a coincidence.

Thorn thought this place was his playpen? Well, it seemed like the Fates agreed with him. Because Hadrian was completely unaware of the man's presence, and also had a horrible sense of direction.
Within just a short amount of time, the mage had no idea which was way out or in, which ways were dead ends and how to get to the center - not the slightest idea.
Hmm...maybe he could climb the hedge?
On second thought, it didn't look steady enough. It looked rather like branches would break if he tried, and he'd rather not get scratched up by a hedge.
So the man continued on, only giving a rueful sigh when he found himself in a dead end. At least it was a pretty dead end, with a stone bench and trellis.
Then he turned around, to go back the way he came.
((>.> Did Thorn follow closely enough to be seen, or is he going to try and hide? xD))

Thorn stood there, leaning against the edge of the hedge and effectively blocking the mage's only point of exist. His arms were crossed in front of him and his eyes were full of amusement as he smiled.
"Well." he said, pulling at the word for effect as he arched a brow. Well, it had been entertaining, watching the man make a fool of himself. The next time, he would stick the mage into a maze and leave him there until he was properly pliant and weak.
"What a surprise, Hadrian."

A startled oath and a stumble backwards betrayed how Hadrian had been completely unaware. It wasn't even so much that it was Thorn, but that there was anyone there. Though a moment later, his heart racing a fast pace from the surprise, he reflected that of course it would be him.
Who else would follow him into a maze and then startle him?
While normally the man only made him a bit nervous, Hadrian felt more nervous then normal. Probably because his heart was already racing, and see Thorn when he had just been scared -
"Thorn."
Well, it wasn't the best of faces to see after being frightened.
"W-...What are you doing here?"
Unnerved at seeing him in the maze, nervous because the only exit was Thorn - he didn't like being trapped. And with Thorn blocking the only exit, he effectively was.

He arched a brow at this. Something in him relished seeing the naked surprise, so obvious in action and word. The tone he took, the movement he had taken, it all seemed so coreographed to edge Thorn out just a little bit more. Maybe one of these days it would stop being so exciting.
But Thorn couldn't imagine that day coming.
"I'm here for our little rendevous, darling." he purred, sliding out of his leaning as he took a step forewords. "Did you forget?" his voice was completely innocent as he asked this question.
His voice, was.
"I haven't forgotten the way we fit so well together." he said, his voice dipping.

Hadrian grew tense, taking a step back as Thorn took one forward. If he was a cat, his fur would have been standing straight out and his ears down - as it was, he only succeeded in looking nervous and a bit angry.
"Well, I wish you would forget. Because it's not happening again."
Oh, and that was sure to make Thorn leave. Right.
It would be obvious to any from his world, that Hadrian had never been a mage actually out fighting; his reflexes were all wrong. When feeling threatened, any war mage would have reacted with magic to protect themselves - but Hadrian's protective instinct was different.
He had more of a 'run away!' instinct, that tended to overcome any thoughts of his magic. Which really wasn't that fantastic of an instinct when you couldn't run.

Thorn took another step, his smile widening, letting Hadrian know that it was indeed the wrong thing to say. Especially to a man who adored challenges like this one.
"Oh?" he asked, his voice darkening as he advanced. He did it slowly, to leave no room for escape. Not for this mage. "Do you really think so?"
"Are you going to tell me then, that when I touched you there." he then added something so explicit it was hard to think about not carrying it through. That was to say, it was detailed, as if he had just done it instead of a couple of nights before. "You didn't like it?"
"Or that those cute little noises you made when I." he added something else, something more heathen. "You weren't telling me to go on?"
It was filthy, dirty talk for the afternoon. But Thorn was feeling idle.

Hadrian's face was turning red the more Thorn spoke, embaressment and - memories. He could very well remember all of that, despite the alcohol he had consumed that night - all so clearly. Hearing it spoken of again, by Thorn...it shamed him.
Embaressed him.
And his memory of exactly how those things had felt did a few other things as well.
"I-I was drunk..." Backing up - even when he knew there wasn't an exit that way, just a bench and a hedge, he still backed away. His words sounded only like an excuse now, and a flimsy one at that.
He didn't want to be with Thorn, no. But his body wasn't really agreeing with him there, when the other man was going into such detailed rememberence of what they had already done...
Backing up, his concentration focused entirely on the man before him; he didn't even notice that he had run out of room until he bumped into the bench, almost falling except for the hedge.

When Thorn bumped into the bench, he took the opportunity to cut the distance between them completely. They were close, too close really, and while before he had used his body to block Hadrian's exit, now he used it to block any movement.
That is, any movement to escape. He leaned forewords with dangerous proximity, far enough that they weren't touch, but close enough that Thorn could see just what effect he had on the man. He was flushed, and Thorn was delighted.
If, one day, this man became harder to embarress, maybe Thorn would feel different. Maybe. But right now he was still having fun. He always had fun embarrassing people, taking delight in their humilation.
But this was more then that.
"I had." he said the words as if it was a private secret between them. "A lot of... fun, that night." he licked his lower lip, staring at Hadrian's. He remembered the taste of _them_.
"Being drunk doesn't excuse you, Hadrian. I can prove it." he smirked.

Hadrian was trembling. Minute, barely perceptible trembling - but there it was. Whether it was because he was frightened, aroused, nervous and embaressed - or some combination of the four - who knew.
Too close. Thorn was far too close, and it was as if he couldn't think.
You're a mage, idiot - protect yourself! All he had to do was a few gestures and he could protect himself, since his magic was tied to gestures -
but his hands wouldn't listen. Then were clenched, keeping the trembling in them from being too obvious. It was hard to protect yourself, when your resolve was steadily weakening.
"Don't..." His voice was trembling now as well.
"...I don't want you.." Was he trying to convince Thorn or himself?

They were alone, in the hedge. Thorn knew this much. But he also knew he had to proceed carefully. One wrong step and the entire relationship could blow up in his face. So he only smiled, one hand moving gently to rest on Hadrian's wrist. It wasn't to hold him down, as it was to touch.
"Hadrian." he said, word drifting from his mouth. He bumped his hips with the mage, and was careful to hide any side of a smirk from his face.
Not yet.
Not now.
This was, exhilerating. The power he had over the man who seemed to only be able to whisper his words.
It was intoxicating.

Thorn's hand on his wrist-
Thorn's hand anywhere brought up even more memories of that night. And the more the memories came, the more his body rebelled against his mind. His body wanted this. He didn't.
"Thorn..."
But his body was winning.
Whatever the reason, he couldn't seem to bring himself to fight Thorn, to push the man away. Hadrian felt even more shamed that it seemed all he could do was offer that token resistance of words. There was just something about the other man that made him feel - weak.
And not in a good way.
"Please, just...stop."
But even if the man continued, he couldn't seem to make his body listen to his brain.

A low noise escaped the other man as he smiled. It wasn't quite a growl, but it was close enough, full of possession as he leaned forewords. "Stop?" he breathed the word over them both, hesitating as he smiled. "Do you want me...to?"
A trailing off question as he leaned forewords until parts of his body rested firmly on the mage's. He kissed him, lightly, a nibble of the lips as if it was some other part of him he was tasting. Pulling at it lightly, almost playfully, his eyes were dark as he dared the mage to say it again.
"Only if you mean it."
He said, quietly. His voice was lost then as he nuzzled the mage's neck. (( ))

((I know, I'm feeling fangirl-ish too 4laugh ))
Even as Thorn slowly moved up the pace, Hadrian did nothing to stop him. It was as if - he couldn't. When he was around Thorn, when Thorn was doing things like this...he just fell apart.
As the lips met, however momentary it was, Hadrian's gaze also met Thorn's. And for that brief moment, his confusion and struggle, frustration and fear, all showed through. And he couldn't see anything in the other man's eyes except a playful, possessive lust.
Then as the attention was lowered to his neck, Hadrian turned his head slightly away, squeezing his eyes shut. Almost as if, if he blocked out the image of Thorn, he could encourage himself to stop him.
But - it just made it worse.
"I can't - M-marc..."
Marc. Ignore Thorn, ignore what he was doing. Focus on Marc, shouldn't be doing this...
