^^ Well done.

Right, firstly I'd just like to say I hope you guys all had a merry Imbolc or Lammas, depending on what hemisphere you're in. ^^ I know I did..

Secondly: I'm sorry I've not been about.. School has been chaos, and I've been having fits of exhaustion (is that possible? wink ).

Some of you may know I'm all into speech and acting and all that jazz. ^^ Well, some of you may know I recently had a speech exam. And you definitely won't know I got honours. Woo-yeah-woo! (Honours is the top.) So, I am incredibly pleased about that.

Okay. I have discovered for myself a version of doing magic - I apologise if I seem to be patronising here if you already know about it/do it/hate it/love it. Basically, it involves entering a slight meditational state with your palms steepled and breathing under control. You can do it standing up, sitting down, running, walking - you name it. As you breathe in, build up a white light around you. Have it so it's almost has been as a coven's circle (well, what I imagine to be the size: I've never been in a coven, let alone seen a coven. ^^; )

Now, you have a choice. You can recite a quick chant (such as an aura-temperature one) or open up a channel towards another person. (More on that later..) Infuse the white ball with your energy, emotion and purpose. I wouldn't recommend using anger as an emotion: it has great force, but depending on what you where doing it could be interpreted as grey / slightly black magic. Send it out to the world, with a vision of what will happen when it works. (Yes, when. Not if. Do an act of magick knowing it will work, not hoping it will work.) For example, I was working on this whilst some test papers for science where being handed out. I built up the ball (almost the size of the class room ^^; ) and recited a simple good grades spell. ("On this test I take today, I will receive no less than A. Earth, wind, fire and sea, as I will it so mote it be.") Then, I released the ball into the air, shattered it into a million pieces infusing it with a vision of me getting back the paper with the desired result (excellence). And guess what? It worked a treat. ^^; I did study though - magick doesn't beat studying, kiddos.

Alright, now I was saying something about you meeting an intersection after you build up your ball of white light. Well, this is the later and I will explain opening up a channel with another person. For the purpose of demonstration, we shall say you wish to contact a person and tell them to get a move on. Imagine your ball then projecting from your hands, in a steady stream of electric energy, weaving through any obstacles in the way (such as walls.) When you feel you are nearby the person, say (in a booming cheesy voice of course ) what your reason is for contacting them. (E.g. Come on Dad - we need to get a move on. Please can you hurry up.) Don't say anything along the lines of I command you to.. Bla-de-bla as that is not your right, nor anyone's or the Goddess and God's. Messing with free will is not allowed, and is black, bad magick. Ahem. You should know all of that.

Okay: well, that's that part of my ramble covered.

Different topic.

A couple of nights ago, I had this really creepy dream. I was waiting to be picked up by Dad after school. Instead of dad showing up, 2 weirdoes did. They where either Maori, Indian or.. I'm not sure. I thought 'hey, it's only a dream I can hop in. Give myself some super powers and waste 'em.' We drove along, 'cept time was completely out of perspective. We went to the casino Chinese type place from a couple of dreams a go, and you guessed it: they bought me Chinese. Everything was bathed in a purple glow from the casino.

Then, they took me back to their base: a weird hotel type place, one story in the middle of a mix between Hastings and New York. o_O for those of you who don't know, Hastings is tiny. I was left in a doctor’s waiting room type place, where another worried woman was. By then I was getting nervous.. then, wa-how! I suddenly become one of the weirdoes and talked to my brother. I can't remember the dialogue, but it was about the girl they had picked up (me.) Then, I suddenly become me again.. o_O I rang up Dad for him to rescue me: oddly, he knows where the base is. Any who, he shows up really quick, and I sneak out into Dad's car. The weirdo's notice, and (naturally) become annoyed at their victim (that-way inclined sickos) escaping.

Meh, I was glad to see Dad as you would. They discovered I had gone, but I had left my school-bag behind and so they where beating it with a white plastic chopping board... Anyway, that's all I can remember. The purpose of me posting this up here, is about two nights after having that I spotted the weirdo in the super-market. He recognised me: well, at least looked as if he had seen me before. What's worse, is he gave the same appreciative glance from the dream at my top. I was a prat and forgot my thick jumper to go over the top. x_x I walked/sprinted/skittered away. In hiding in the toiletry isle I was thinking over what happened. My panic made the lights flicker - like a stupid effect from movie as I walked along. It's funny looking back, but dang embarrassing at the time. Yes. So, meeting him in real life and everything was so vivid in the dream. I was disturbed even before I saw him at the supermarket..

What are your guy’s thoughts? It'd be appreciated if I could have some feedback.

Bah, humbug. I'm rambling, and I've still got loads of things to ramble about that are slipping away.. >__>;

Oh yes: I painted my art folder. It looks spiff-ehy. It's a gradient, using this really cool metallic acrylic. It goes from black, to indigo, to blue, to baby blue, then sliver. On top, I have a glow-in-the-dark quality wing, and my name with the y turning into a rose. The e is a yin-yang symbol to~oo. ^^

Well, the week I wasn't online a lot happened. Congrats to Dark for becoming a council member~! I have yet to check up and offer my 5-cents (or 10: 5 cents don't exist anymore since Fri I think here in NZ) on all the posts. I hope you guys have been having fun, and behaving yourselves.

Thanks for listening/reading (if you still are) to my post.. I'm happy to do the same for you, any time.

Oh: and get entering the Lotto! The draw was meant to be today, but no-one entered. >.< However, newsletter is coming out on Wed! ^^

Not congrats on the staying home sick though... ;_; Poor you.

Woot woot! The power was out on Monday at school so I got to stay at home alone and I cast my first circle xp I was sort of stoping and starting remember what to do sweatdrop lol but just like Jen said up there ^^^^ practice makes perfect sweatdrop 3nodding

Oh and I have to re do the english exam! The whole year does gonk In the test was stuff that my class had already seen before and worked on in class so the oher classes had a disadvantage because they hadn't seen it before. I was so annoyed when I got out because that was SO unfair for the other classes. All I had to do was remember what we did instead of use my skills. So after numerous complaints we are re doing the test which is sort of a bitter sweet thing lol.

So basically apart from that I've finished the Year 11 course and it's holidays! Woot!!! So expect me online a heck of alot more xp

O-oh... I've been using the Chat thread as a blog. whee

I haven't been around as much the past few days as I did before... School finally started to pile up. I got a ride to the library which means more books xd Orto's Monday metal nights are open again and so are Fabrka's Saturday metal nights... The first girls-only queer party's tomorrow, I hope it goes well. smile The lesbian bar is usually pretty down. And all the fun lesbians just move to the gay bar across the hall cause... Well, to be honest, gay guys know how to make a party.

Mr. X has still been walking all over school, preferably randomly roaming into my vision field. stare A few days ago I was walking over the school's bridge, thinking god knows what, but it was one of those states where you're completely capable of getting from point A to point B in a very crowded hall without getting hit, but once you get there you have no idea how. It was one of those moments. And then I just happen to look up to see where my class is... And I find myself standing one step away from Mr. X who's staring at me. (I should really change his name to something other than Mr. X. xd ) He goes: Boo! I pretend to be scared and go to class cause I was late and in trouble as it was. I'm always in trouble. confused And that was a one off. He'll always say hi... AS LONG as he meets me somewhere out of school... in school, I feel like air. Though, I usually pretend not to be there, or just go for coffee across the street cause some classes are just too useless and boring. rolleyes Listening to a teacher telling us how stupid we are for 45 minutes is not my idea of an education.

Is it possible to request a reading on this forum? I can't concentrate enough on my tarot cards to read properly. And my sis isn't being helpful with her gypsy cards cause she just stares at them and says: "Vix, you get the WEIRDEST cards. MOOOOOOOM!! You make sense of it." stare Very comforting. One of my classmates can read palms, kinda. Her auntie or gran taught her. When she looked at mine she went: "Uf... You have problems in your love life, don't you? It won't get any easier." Grrr. (I just saw a Drew Barrymore film... They always make me feel sorry for myself... This is me stopping.)

Anyhow... I haven't done anything spiritual in a few days... Concentrating is just getting so... bloody hard. I can't get school out of my head, the music and Mr.X isn't helping either. But, I've been thinking on the construction of the Mythology thread in the Academy. I'm still in the process of translating the paper. And I also found one I did ages ago for english, on the Nordic Mythology. One of the reasons I hate doing general overviews is that very paper. I just couldn't deal with the fact that there was so much of it I had to leave out so it'd fit in a 10 min presentation. And I stretched it to 20 min as it was.

Ok, I talk a lot today.

xd Talking a lot's fine - we like it. ^^

Aww... How goes things with Mr. X? It's been a while since you posted - and things tend to happen quick, judging from books and films. I do not speak from experience, thank goodness. Me & love = divorce. xd

[scuffs feet] Bad pun. I'm sorry.

Yes - I think that if you were to talk to Lex, possibly in her Tarot Class in the academy, or at least advertise ( xd ) I'm sure someone will be willing to help. I'd do it myself, but I've not found a deck that's said, 'pick me!' yet. I've decided to make one though. [nod nod] Yep - I'm going to draw all 78 cards and CG colour them, and then if all goes well get it published. xd Discount on the pack for all on the guild! Maybe a freebie, if I like you enough. whee

...if the guild's still here, of course. Like I've said before, art is time consuming. Then again... I have no life, so it shouldn't make too much difference. razz [shrug]

Boo! smile

I got my reading - and a good thing I did too. Like I said... mine were just weird. Either that or I'm no good at it. smile Me and my cousin went to get the tickets too because Tjaša didn't have one yet. We met Mr.X there... I think he was probably the only one in the group of them that didn't ignore me at all. In the end there were about 6 of them and we all know eachother. But there's some unresolved business between me and one of them... and the rest just get dragged right into it. confused I hate how people do that.

There was a whole bunch of my friends there though (surprise razz Half of the Blind Guardian CDs are Tolkien related... and my friends are mostly from the Tolkien's society. It's surprising how many talented and wonderful people all have something as strange in common as is a love for a book.) and they are awesome as always, and the gig was awesome and I was in the front row and I got a guitar pick and the security guards were really nice and the Croats next to me were really nice (and really tall, good for resting your head xd ) and it was awesome... Oh how I love Blind Guardian. I usually feel tiredness at the end of the gig but I didn't feel tired untill I woke up this morning. I'm all bruised and achey. But that's the price for being in the front row, turning from a normal potato into mashed potato. They were worth it though. When they started playing War of Wrath the entire hall recited the speech ("The field is lost, everything is lost, the black one has fallen from the sky, the towers in ruins lie... the enemy is within, everywhere, and with him the light, soon they will be here, go my lord while there is time... There are places below."/"And you know them too... I release thee... Go. My servant you'll be for all time."/"As you command. My king."/"I had a part in everything. Twice I destroyed the light and twice I failed. I left ruin behind me when I returned but I also carried ruin with me... She... The misstress of her own lust." heart ) And when they did the Bard's song... Hansi sang the first few words and the entire song was sang by us. heart It pleased him. razz (Studio Bards Song and What it does to the audience razz ) I love them so. heart In the past few years they became so... something you can only hear on a CD, or see on a picture, not something that's gonna stand 1m away from you and sound just as awesome... They became so... "unseenable"... Like a myth.

[stands there like a deer in the headlights]

o_O !!

[cough] Sorry. Delayed reaction. xd

Congrats on the reading. ^^ Where did you get it done in the end?

whee Hurrah! Sounds like the gig was a blast. ^^ I'm glad you had fun - sounds like everyone did. The speech is nifty - it gives me the images of the book. Well, not of the cover, but what's happening inside. ^^; This is probably a little off-topic, but what are your thoughts on the films of Lord of the Rings? I know that the books always better than the film... but.

...I'd like to say more, but I honestly can't think what. >__< That's what you get with writing speeches. Ironic, really...

Well, one isn't a speech as such. It's a five minute "talk" on research that fits with our interests, for a speech exam. >_< And you're not allowed any notes - just the facts are all in your head, and somehow you have to format that into some fancy talk that an old fashioned examiner would like. >_< Disconcerting.

And, the other one is for the speech competition. It has to be persuassive. I got into the finals last year - and it was really fun. The judging was a sympathy vote though - 2nd went about two minutes over time, 3rd looked pretty and 1st sang her speech. And it wasn't persuassive. Plus, the judge wasn't in the speech department. Ugh!

So, in conclusion. xd This year I'm not gonna go for the "win win". Just a good grade.

In case you want to see last years speech, here it is... sweatdrop

[[ Spongebob will rule the world ]]

Yes, I can see him now: swapping his spatula for Neptune’s sceptre. His laugh is not of humour, it is of maniacal triumph. Spongebob will rule the world, and yoooou know it.

Do you prefer watching cartoons to doing homework? Admit it! You do. What about instead of paying bills? I thought so. Everyone enjoys watching cartoons. Yes – even you. When Shrek came out, adults and children alike flocked to it. Cartoons provide young jokes and cute-sy animation for the munch-kins, and for the older ones: older jokes and lessons in

¤ trust
¤ perseverance
¤ and nobility.

Take the Simpson’s. It was originally an adult’s cartoon, but I ask you guys: have any of you not watched one episode? ...If that isn’t enough, and you’re thinking, “What the-? What’re you on man? Just ‘coz we’ve all seen it doesn’t mean everyone else has.”’ I beg you: reconsider. Have your grand-parents, nannies, mums and dads not watched it? I told you. People watch it because they can relate to the characters. Every one of us can either relate to Homer the slow, working man who brings in money, Marge: the clever housewife *cough*slave*cough*, Bart the bad boy who hates school, Lisa: the perfect child who loves school, and of course, Maggie. We can relate to them, and the slightly frail amongst us can relate to Abe Simpson... But if anyone can relate to Mr Burns they should be taken out and shot.

What do cartoons do? Make us laugh. This is healthy. Laughter easily gets rid of one of the most serious health issues of our time: stress. Does this sound too good to be true? Well, it’s true. Doctors are prescribing laughter for their patients,

¤ as no super powers is needed.
¤you don’t need batteries.
¤and it’s one-hundred% fat-free.

Laughter’s great for your heart. A team of Maryland medical researchers found that people that didn’t laugh often had a 50% higher chance of having heart disease. A toon a day keeps the doctor away!

Yes: Spongebob and his cartoon cronies will rule the world. This is not a bad thing, as like I said everyone likes cartoons, can relate to the characters, and we are healthier.
¤ Everyone wins,
¤ has a good time,
¤ lives longer, as a toon a day keeps the doctor away.

Laughing is

¤ fun,
¤ fat free,
¤ and you don’t need a license to do it.

Hehehehe... xd That has to be one of the most original speeches I've read. Thumbs up! biggrin Where did you get the idea? You're a spongebob fan?

How did the speech(es) go? (If you had it/them already smile )

I got the reading here I replied to a comment on my profile and noticed there's a girl on my friendlist who does tarot readings. I'd say coincidence, if I believed in them. blaugh

The LotR films... I like the first one, the 2nd one is a bit worse and the third one I was just sitting like this: eek in the cinema. I'm too fond of the original story to be able to endure PJ's version of it. I'm not exactly a good person to say weather the films are good or not because I just can't see through the changes they made in the story. I keep on thinking: "Nooo... that's wrong, it was better the way Tolkien did it. Don't fix what's not broken. Get me a new director. Get Christoper Lee to do it. Get anyone else to do it. Get Tolkien to do it. Or even better, don't do it, he didn't want films. cry " and so on...

I watch the first one from time to time, but I didn't even bother buying the rest of them. Twice in the cinema was enough. blaugh It was amusing though, when me and my friend went to see RotK for the first time and at Aragorn's corronation we looked at eachother and went: "Clean hair!" at the same time.

What do you think about the films?

whee Thank you. Well - the idea came as a mockery of the whole "speech" idea. Everyone was doing really serious topics - petrol, smoking, drugs etc. So, I started jsut randomly day-dreaming - and that's what came up. I didn't realise how far I could take it until I started writing... ^^ And yes - I am indeed a big Spongebob fan. I know quite a few quotes, and never miss an oppurtunity to imitate Squidwards laugh. ^^ I take it you are as well...?

Nope, not quite had speeches yet. The speech exam one (talk - subject Anime) is on... Novemeber 3rd, same day as my English exam. >_< Was last year too. The other speech (competition - subject telepathy) is... I'm not sure when. >_< We have to be ready to perform it to our class in about a week though, but there's a couple more performances after that soo.. I dunno.

>_< I'm rambling.

Yesh, I do agree with your way of thinking on the films. It's really annoying - but I think that Jackson did do a good job. Everyone interprets things differently, I guess - so, if anything else it was good to see someone else's viewpoint. But yes, the RotK was a rip off. Shelob was done really well though - but I'm not to sure whether he did that in the Two Towers or Return of the King. >_<

Oooh, it was annoying when the Two Towers came out, and people thought it was named after 9/11. Grr. And because of that, Chicago got the film award... thingy.

whee Hurrah! Have fun. ^^ I'd usually say "behave yuorself", but I don't wanna stop you from having a good time, as it sounds like you're really excited. ^^

All that's on my agenda for tomorrow is painting.. strimming, cleaning, revision and.. other slave labour-type of jobs. Long weekend = DIY. But with a grumpy exhausted Dad who snaps at you for saying "I know" when if you do know, 'coz you've made sushi before = torture. >_>

A thing that's really bugging me at the moment is Bebo. It just revolves around comments on your profile, the arangement of your friends (top 16) tYp1Ng l1k3 d1s, bullying and spam. I reallly wish I could quit, but unfortunately it's the only way to stay in touch with some friends. Yeah.. it just makes me really angry. I dunno why, but it does. On the upside, it just makes me appreciate you guys and Gaia even more. smile

[sigh] I'm turning into a mad batty cat woman... person. No, not from Batman. xD Just.. I think I'm semi-agrophobic. I hate crowds and going into town. Almost... scared, really. For instance, when I was being a hermit and had to go into the supermarket in the holidays, I almost started crying because it was so crowded, and I was by the yoghurt trying to find Dad. Grow up, dudette!

But, I'm not afraid of open spaces. At all. Just people... Then again, there is reason to be. And I cope okay in public speaking... In fact, I do pretty well at that.

>_< I'll stop embarrasing myself now. xp
