Ravager yeah but if we do so.... won't there be followers who will base upon this idea and will begin a counter movement? Well, the worst they could do is not accept putting the sign in their thread, which isn't a big deal. This is a sign of an accepting environment, so any "counter movement" would deem the threads using it as "hate threads" which are against the TOS as I recall. Sorry, I gave up on this idea before because I had finals, but other than my job I don't have a whole lot of work to tie me down at the moment, so if anyone could make some kind of "Safe Zone" banner we could use that would be great. Something noticeable...but not too big. Also, I do not frequent the role-playing bars/areas that much, so if there are people who know of some good places to go and help me get the idea out there, that would be great. Once we get it going, I can make a sticky for keeping track of all this. So do I have any takers to help me out?

Omg that's too cute. but maybe a little bit bigger.... Like in the chatterbox kinda where they have those rps, we can post them in there... I mean, (no offense to people who like that place) it's just... too random and mundane.

This is an awesome idea, Kaldorei. Not only is it accomplishing the original goal of letting someone notice that the thread in question is a SafeZone, but it's promoting the idea of tolerance. It's a "No Tolerance for Intolerance" kind of thing.
This will take massive advertising to take off, however - simply because most people might not know what a SafeZone is/means...I know I didn't when I clicked on this thread. But the advertising could mean inserting the symbol into existing sigs and threads, and if the numbers are sheer enough...well, there you go.
I don't think the symbol needs to be too huge. Something subtle, but obviously there...not tiny, not hidden, but not in your face, either. I'm not much of a logo maker, but I'll post if I come up with anything. No promises though.

I agree completely, MagdalenaDown. I'm not sure if my banner is too small or not...I might make it wider, but I think it's tall enough.

I think the picture is fine. WE can always make more later, if this does not suit our purposes. The site forum is down now, but once it gets back up again we can start sending out requests. I'm going to make an official SafeZone sticky soon, which will be the one that we will link the banner to. I'm still trying to decide whether or not I should make official application forms for people requesting to join the group of Safe Zones or just let them add it themselves without applying and then tell us so that we can add them to our list.
Also, if anyone knows of any great threads to start with these banners, it would be great if you could list the links here(once the forums are back up of course).

Two threads we should contact are the 'Ask the Lesbian' thread in the Chatterbox and 'Ask the Lesbian - The Guild'. I'm very sure about those, they would be great to have with us ^^

I don't have any artistic ability that I could show you {no scanner x_x} but I made a bunch of those buttons so if someone told me what you wanted on them, I'd jump at the chance to make 'em.
Anyway, I think it's an awesome idea! We should do something like that in our community 3nodding

Buttons would be awesome, Suinaliath! I'm not sure what exactly what we'll use here, but the real ones are usually a triangle w/ a rainbow colors. That's why I used it for my images.

I see you are on-line and I have to go take care of my puppy, so would it be too much trouble if you could make it? If I have any ideas or anything, I'll add them if that is okay.
