Lesson 1
Our first lesson will be on Boggarts. Boggarts are shape shifters, meaning that they can turn into all different types of objects. But, the objects that they turn into are not what you want nor like, they turn into what you fear the most. No one knows what a boggart truly looks like when it is in it's normal state. They appear to feed off of the emotion of fear rather than using this ability as a defensive mechanism.
One Spell that is known to take care of the boggart is the Riddikulus Spell. In order to do this charm, you must think of the fear that you have but in an amusing form. If done correctly the boggart will turn into the creature that you imagined, which will create laughter, which will defend you from the boggart.

Lesson 2
Lesson 2 will be based on one thing, Dementors. There is one speech that tells us almost all we need to know about them. Remus Lupin wrote it.

They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them. Even Muggles feel their presence, though they can't see them. Get too near a dementor and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of you. If it can, the dementor will feed on you long enough to reduce you to something like itself...soul-less and evil. You will be left with nothing but the worst experiences of your life."
Dementors feed on positive human emotions, which is part of the reason why they guard the Azkaban Prison. There is one way in which you can defend yourself from a dementor, which is using the Patronus Charm.
