Kay C walked up slowly across the grass, making no sound, watching Dusk with wavering eyes. There he was, a little more scarred and confident than she remembered him, but that was him, no doubt about it. She Could shoot him right now, get it all over and done with, she had the right bullets, the right oppertunity, but something was stopping her. She couldn't kill him like this, not this one. Thinking angrily to herself, she decided it was time to giving him that reason for him to kill her. She walked forward, up to the wall of the stand that the great iron statue stood upon, and then walked along it till she was in his view, before turning and facing him, biting her lip.

((Ok, for the time being, I'm ignoring all of that prior to this conversation, I'll deal with William's death and whatnot after this, because it doesn't make sense otherwise)) Dusk noticed her before she turned. He got up slowly and started to move towards her, stumbling clumsily before he eventually stopped inches away from her stared at her, his face empty, jaded, emotionless. He took his time before he spoke, then, when he did speak, it was a whisper, harsh and cold. "You killed Ian..."

Kate gazed at him, finding it hard to breath. For the first time, she was struggling to keep herself calm and collected, a new brand of fear swimming through her veins. She held her voice steady as she admit her crime, hold her two guns for safety. "I know. I'm Sorry. I was meant to kill you but... Well now you've more than got your revenge, Robert. you killed all of my men." She said, no intention of any bad feelings in her voice.

"Maybe, but that means just one thing to me." He growled softly, pressing his hands against the wall behind her. "Now, it's just you and me, and I'm going to kill you for what you did..." He breathed heavier, an angry look of malice glaced in his eyes. She killed the only friend that really understood him, and she was going to pay...

"Yea, I know," She said, looking sadly into his hatful eyes. Pinned against the wall, Kate realised she didn't have much chance of saving herself if he lashed out now. Instead, she chose to sooth him a little, keep him talking. "What happened to us Robert? We've been put on the wrong sides. You and I, we were once one hell of a team." She said, smiling weakly.

He blinked, a little shaken and confused by that. He let up his stronghold on her to the wall and gazed back at her with a bemused stare. "I'm not Robert anymore, I'm Dusk. Robert died in the war on Iraq." Was all he could say, unable to go into what she had said about their past. Inside, he was realising he did know this girl, she hadn't changed, she'd just shot the wrong person. That didn't make her not guilty though.

She grinned a little and moved out of the way of the wall, she was unable to get into such a vunerable spot again. "Fine then, 'Dusk.'" he drew out the name as if she was mocking it, "But according to the Army, Robert didn't die. He deserted his men and left them to their death, and that's why my men were after you. The army wants you dead, and now I'm suppose to carry out that order." She said, almost angrily, as if she blamed him for that.

"I know that, too." He said, letting her walk. "So like I said, I have a reason to kill you, and you have one to kill me." He drew out his desert eagle and looked at it thoughtfully, like he'd never seen it before or did not know how to use it properly. "Are we going to do it here? Or do you want to take it some other place, some other time?"

She drew her own guns, looking at them in the same way Dusk had to his own. She thought for a moment then shook her head, replacing the SIG and Colt and placing her hands on her hips. "No, not here. I'll tell you when and where. Might be tomorrow, might be five years later in the Empire state building. But whereever, whenever, follow me with this, Rob.... Dusk. I won't kill you behind your back, do the same for me. For old times sake..." She said, her smile fading as her face pleaded to him.

He watched her, his eyes narrowing slightly at her plea. She'd killed his friend, but she'd been a good friend herself, and despite his hate, she was right, they had been a good team once... He returned his gun to his side and nodded. "OK, for old times sake," He said, nearly in danger of losing his voice, "But kill any one of my pack, for I'm assuming you know I'm the Alpha of the Lycans now, and I'll hunt you down, agreed?"

She nodded, grinning slightly again, feeling a little better now. "Of course. And I know, I know everything. I've been watching, nice work with that boat the other week." She shrugged and shook her head. "So now you're my mark, which means only I get to kill you. I'm gonna be watching, Dusk. You and the new girlfriend..." She stopped, another lump picking up in her throat. Angry with herself, she swallowed it back down. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do..." She said, loosening her smile and giving a serious nod. "See you around." She said, and started walking away, back to the boat.

He watched her go, nodding softly, slightly shaken by the last events. "Yea, see you too, I'll be watching as well..." He said to himself, then shivering, feeling the biting chill on the air again. Was Rikku back? No... it was.... Gasping softly, Dusk turned away from the disappearing figure and set off at a run to the other side of the statue. He rounded the corner and saw the crowd, felt the sadness from them, and caught the dead body of William. "Oh no..." He said softly, and went to help them. He offered his services, and helped them with the body onto the Boat. Throughout the trip, he felt Kate's pressence, but never saw her. He simply knew she was watching. ((Exit.))

Kate blinked as she watched for a safe and hidden distanct, seeing Dusk help the dead body onto the boat. He never left the side of the corpse, offering sympathy to those grieving. She was almost touched by this, and hated the fact one day she'd have to kill this man. When the boat arrived back in port, she considered following them, but instead, decided to go elsewhere, and find something to help her pass the time. In other words, find someone else to kill... ((Back to hunters...))

Zero swims over to the great lady herself. He then climbs the side of the statue and sits on the crown."I guess this ring holds no use anymore...its a shame"he says softly. Zero chucks the ring into the ocean...then takes out his guns and waits to see if any immortals come along for him to hunt......
