I picked up Volume 2 today. Reading it now. Anemone seems very differant from the Anemone on the show. Maybe not VERY differant but differant. It's all the same main events, but it just seems so rushed. Does the Coralian appear in Del Ceilo? That's kinda the way it looked. And the Coralian killing people... intentionally killing people with those green glowy things. I knew people died because of the Corialian but in the show it seemed more like innocent bystanders in a hurrican. In the manga it's like the Coralian was throwing javalans trying to kill humans.
I think I've got it. Eureka and Anemone are two versions of the Scab Coral.
Spoiler: toward the end of the TV series when they explain about how the Scab Coral came to the planet and absorbed (ingested) everything on the planet (ultimately running humans into space) it gives an impression of a Scab Coral that exists to consume. Later, after thousands of years of being alone, humans return and the Coral wants to communicate with Humans but doesn't know how. So it tries to learn and mimic "Human". It does this first through Sakuya, then the Archetypes, then Eureka.
I think Anemone is the embodiment of the old consumption Scab Coral and Eureka is the version that exists later. I also think that the Archetypes are Coralians just as much as Eureka, but that they are a differant class or species, like the Antibody Corialians.
Just a thought

I knew there was some talk on this in the forums... cant believe I just saw it. Oh well, I just got 1 and 2 yesterday, and 3 today. I gotta admit, I think I almost like the manga better then the anime. But that’s pretty far fetched. I'd probably say the same thing about the manga to the anime if I had read the manga first before the anime. I just love the emotion and fluctuation of the story. I got a raw version of the forth volume (non translated.) I'm hoping natashi will get the translated soon. I think you can get the translated version of vol. off of Amazon.com. All I have right now is my brother. Who is translating it for me, or at least some of it. I just hope he doesn't get bored, because he says he's having fun. o.o... please keep having fun, I think I'll put some drugs in his cereal tomorrow to put him in a good mood... that was a joke... seriously.

Hell's yeah, I got the first box set and I love the T-shirt. I've been meaning to pick up the second one also. Mostly for the T-shirt ofcourse. I wish you could get the shirts seperatly but I don't think you can. Speaking of the manga though, I haven't read the 4th one yet. I've been waiting so that I'd have something new to look forward to. I'm really looking forward to it though.
