| Day 1 :: Moving day. |

"I didn't know we 'ad s'much shite," Tombs growled, hefting a pair of stacked boxes up through the front door. He cursed something inaudible as his foot slipped on the 'welcome' mat, ironically, but he recovered enough not to drop the top box labelled 'kitchen'. "We're nevah movin' again, Pidge."

He dropped the stack onto the granite countertop with a huff, stray pieces of dirty blond hair falling across his eyes from where it was tied up into a small tail. He wanted a smoke, bad- but his cigars, ashtray, and permission to do so were not available.

Tombs pushes away from the counter, eyebrow raised as he searched for his husband. Weaving his way though the new house, stepping over boxes and stacks of unpacked books and records (he loved records), he sniffed out the other person who was supposed to be helping him unpack thier house.

He scratched idly at his side, faded and well loved t-shirt hitching up just enough that the scrawling tattoo that traced down his abdomen and dissapeared beneath the waist of his pants showed.

"OY, luvvah- t'hell you hidin-"

Halfway across the stunning pile of architecture they had gleefully claimed as their own, the man he was calling 'pidge' let out a ringing laugh that was light and filled with dark promises. Fury Ashworth was only slightly shorter than Tombs, heroin thin from a past of drug abuse and debauchery, but his silver-blue eyes had never been jaded with time and the unfairness of life. Everything about him breathed expensive- the touch of cologne he wore, the large diamond stud in one ear, the designer jeans and t-shirt, and the platinum and diamond band he wore on one finger.

Elbows on the marble bar in their 'entertaining room,' dreamy expression softening his thin features, he smiled at Tombs' voice. One slender hand strayed up to brush soft auburn bangs out of his eyes, a betraying movement among a realm of still boxes.

"In here, at the bar. You can't have unpacked everything already...?"

"No, I aven't-" Tombs stepped into the room, skirting a stack of boxes holding thier collection of booze. Well... half of it. The other half was still in the back of Furia's car, along with the 'tiny s**t' boxes and some paintings.

"I came t'make sure you were still workin'- as I thought, you're sitting on your a** grinning like an idiot." He stode over, sliding in beside him at the bar. "Mind if I join you?"

"If you're buying," Fury murmured wickedly, shifting to lean against his lover. There was such a feeling of exhiliration, of peace- it didn't matter how long they'd been together, this was the first time they'd bought something that was theirs. Fury's car was his, Tombs' guns were his, and it had simply worked for them all along- but there was something truly joyous about making a place that no one else could touch. Wedding rings aside, the world they lived in was a rough one.

"What would my girls think of me now- playing house with one of the roughest men ever to hit London," he wondered, low laugh flowing into the room like silk. "You're so terrible for my reputation, darling."

"I'm always buying," Tombs replied, glancing at him sidelong. "Y'know y'girls are terr-bly jealous of you, what with marrying the sexiest creature to walk these streets and all..." He leaned closer, giving Fury's hair a nuzzle.

"But- I can't unpack all this stuff alone. We'll be pitchin' a tent on the floor at this rate."

A very unsophisticated giggle escaped Furia's throat, hints of a blush creeping to his cheeks as he dodged his husband's affections. Tombs, in his mind, had surpassed the realm of 'normal men' so far that he was allowed to be cute with him from time to time.

"And what's so terrible about pitching a tent, darling?" He demanded, ducking close again to touch noses with his rough counterpart. "The girls never minded, and the carpet's thick. Think about all the time we're wasting on this glorious evening, dragging boxes inside."

"I've my fill of sleepin' on floors, I want a bed-" He lifted a hand to slide fingers through his lovers hair, kissing him. "And I can't have a smoke until I find the bloody box I packed them in..."

Tombs shifted away from the bar, dodging suddenly to the side as he tripped over something ELSE.

"G'dammit!?" He caught his balance, glaring towards the floor. "T'hell is that..."

A small gold lamp sat on the floor.

"I'd wager it's NOT the box that holds your cigars?" Was the extremely dry response, and Fury reached over the bar to the case of cigars waiting for his nimble fingers before turning back to his husband. He held it in his fingers lightly, suggestively, an innocently visual tease while he examined the object in question.

"Darling, I don't know. I've never seen it before- is it something of yours?"

"Smart a**," Tombs muttered, eyes on the cigar. "No, it's not something of mine- I assumed it was one of your weird little rich objects. It's gold."

He bent down and lifted it, setting it carefully onto the bar.

"Look, it has a small card attatched to it..." His eyebrow rose, glancing at Fury. "Thisone of your tricks?"

A flicker of sky-touched silver, and Fury sniffed at him. "Do give me more credit for better taste, sweetling. It's a bit gaudy to have come from MY collection...and no, it's no trick of mine."

The cigar trailed over his lips thoughtfully, as he considered the lamp. "Perhaps it was left by the previous owners. The room was dark when I brought the first box in, I could have missed it.

"I'll 'ave that cigar if I have to smoke it off you-" He snapped, taking the card and looking it over curiously. "Funny, it has a sort of address on it..." He shrugged, tucking it into his pocket for later. He took the lamp and walked to a window, setting it on the sill outside. Who knew what could be living inside, after all.

"That'll let it air out, in case some creepahs live inside."

A low purr left the procurer's lips as easily as his previous laugh- a special brand of 'tempting' he had cultivated for his clients and the general joy of the streets. Not having the outlet of his 'business' meant he had to take his entertainment elsewhere- and damn, if Tombs didn't provide a willing outlet. "That was the general idea, darling. Put it in the sun, there, the light is pretty on it."

He leaned back agaisnt the bar, rake-thin form draped elegantly against the cold marble. It bit at his skin through his thin shirt. "It might be of some importance. I'd say call the previous owners, if they weren't such grasping and inhospitable bastards."

Tombs shrugged, pushing it a little to the left so it sat in the sunlight. It was rather pretty in the shine.

"Finders keepers." He turned back around, walking until he stood before Fury. "You, gimme that."

Before Fury could reply or act, Tombs grabbed his lover by the wrist and hefted him up and over his shoulder. He then proceeded to head out of the entertainment room and towards the front of the house.

"Only a couple boxes left in your car, then we can fixa' room up."

Going bonelessly limp out of habit, Fury ignored the instinct to roll out of his grasp, resting his chin on one hand and that arm along Tombs' back instead. His husband's pants were riding a bit low with the work they'd been doing; he amused himself by sending light fingertips to find that particular spot where he knew the man was tickleish.

"So barbaric. After I bought a new case of smokes for you, JUST so you wouldn't have to find the box! There's only a pair of boxes in my car, by the way. I HAVE been working."

"Stoppatyou-" Tombs hissed, choking on a giggle before it escaped. The front room was full of boxes, some half open- others tightly taped and pushed againt the wall. Parts of thier master bedroom furnaiture were waiting to be dragged into the back room- the headboard, frame pieces, a couple nightstands, and a set of dressers. The other pieces were already in there.

Once he got outside, he deposited Fury onto the stone path that lead out to the driveway. "If there's only two, then this should be a easy trip, yeah?"
