Do you get a lot of spyware that way? I once went googling for a steaming bowl of rice gif for my mom, and got swamped with spyware...

And how useful is it for them REALLY to track where we go for better merchandising reasons... is it worth freezing up so many computers across the country and requiring hours and hours of cleanup time? Jason says that spyware is their biggest problem at work and the most time-consuming. I remember when it didn't even exist!

I once went googling for a steaming bowl of rice gif for my mom, and got swamped with spyware... i get LOADS of spyware downloading stuff for the sims, but i have a spiffy program to find it all so i'm not bothered. my pc fixing friend downloaded it for me and found more spyware on my pc than he'd seen anywhere ever he said eek wait for it....3750 items altogether, how embarrassing! all gone now though xd

I keep hearing little beeps from my protection software. So yes, I guess I do get a lot. I just never see it...

Well, I guess I'm not so lucky. After all that searching I did for Nibbles and the raffle entries, my puter is draaaagginnnnngggg. I'm not sure if it's Spyware after all, due to the fact that so far the only 'spyware' several programs have found on the puter were cookies... but various programs HAVE been finding trojans, and I am NOT a happy camper, since no one program seems able to completely handle trojan problems! Or it'll detect them, just not CLEAN them unless you buy their product. ::frowns:: I'm really very frustrated.
And Jelly, what's the program you have called? I think I might want to go find it, lol!

One thing for all of us to remember: When you run any virus scan, do so in safe mode! This way the software that you are trying to find is most likely not running. Once the computer is up and running like normal, the s**t that is not wanted is already up and running and usually hidden from our eyes! But in safe mode, those things don't get the chance to start!

my newest spyware killer is a microsoft beta thingy, the next time my friend's online i'll get him to give me the link and i'll post it here.
i have found that no matter how many programs you have non of them find everything, so the more the merrier as far as i'm concerned
