on the site of KONAMI is no news about it.
there is no real reason to use Strawberry Shortcake.

for mario there was, cause it was for NINTENDO!
people forget the small minigames in it, those were made for the kids who dont want to follow the same patterns all day.
remember, DDR was made to be a game of fun, not game to brag about.
how many could do 8-9 feet songs on their first try?

there is so much nonsense in that article, the probability of truthness is about 0.3684%
so taking this really serious, is foolish.

edit:

i did some more research to provide proof:
http://www.konami.com/gs/newsarticle.php?id=835
an artical and a colabaration, but no where mentioned about making a game...

www.newscom.com
ok, the name sounds real, but fake at the same time...
when taking a closer look, nowhere on that site is this artical mentioned..

http://www.majescoentertainment.com/
yes they had something to do with strawberry shortcake..
MAJESCO DEBUTS NEW NINTENDO GAME BOY® ADVANCE GAME BASED ON THE UPCOMING STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE FEATURE FILM, “SWEET DREAMS”
nothing mentioned about DDR..

so basicly, just selective reading, some editing and presto!
we got a new fake newsfact.

Nobody's said anything about that, so I don't see why you felt a need to include that. :/

They don't always put information about small-time projects like that on their site immediately, if ever. There aren't any reports from major sites because it isn't really a big, ground-breaking game.

Also, looking at the two other toddle-friendly plug-n-plays slated for release (My first DDR and another Disney-based game), plus the Saturday morning kid's show that'll be aired in September, making a game based on a children's show doesn't surprise me one bit.

There's a possibility that it's fake, and I saw it at first too. However, I really don't see any reason to completely doubt it, given the route they've been going recently.

for one simple reason: the moment DDR with mario came out.
people started bitching about that it didnt had hard songs in it at all..

and since KONAMI nor majesco have announced it, i think we should wait before judging anything.
i wont say it isnt real, but so long those two dont back it up, i just see it as a hoax.

They're thinking arbys nothing.
An arby's themed DDR, now thats worth playing

I'm still waiting for my Sonic themed DDR
I could see that having some things that are actually dificult, and songs that are actually good (but hopefully not all speed metal)

More like Arby's-themed IIDX.

Then they could have Macho Gang and replace the inflatable hand in the video with the oven mit thing. lol

@ Arby's DDR: ******** yeah!

But I want to see Fur Elise on DDR, and I mean a version that runs at the song's actual tempo, with speed-ups and slow-downs. twisted (It ranges from 20 bpm to 120 when played stylistically. . . and it runs about 10 minutes straight.)

Disney's rave isnt too hard, but its still has reasonable difficult songs. I could probably stand another disney mix.
