Sonii had gotten up early as she usually did, but with a bit more enthusiasm than normal. Today she was going into the woods to look for plants, seeds, and shinies. Whatever came her way. This type of day always excited her as she really had nothing planned. She could wander as she wanted and where she wanted so long as she paid attention to her own safety. Afterall there were things around that were dangerous to her.

After packing a bit of food to snack on and a skin of water, she left the the place she called home. The trees here were very large and mostly hollow inside. Some only needed a few minor adjustments to be perfectly safe against the weather and wilder creatures, though they seldom wandered directly into the glade.

Her home was one large room with a few short steps upwards that had been carved out. A bed of soft sweet grasses though it looked more like a nest, lay at the top. She needed no blankets as the grass kept her warm or her own fur did.

A few places for shelves lined the one side of the room with bottles of various potions in all sizes, shapes and colors. Bundles of plants hung from hooks on one side of the room filling the air with their fragrances as they dried.

A large chest sat beside the stairs. It contained all her shinies as well as various other things that she liked. A small collection of wooden dolls were placed carefully on a shelf to display and protect them. The shelf below that had books of various colors neatly arranged for easy access. But the most striking feature of the entire room was the window which had shelves reaching across it from side to side.

On these shelves were displayed bottles in a myriad of colors. They were carefully spaced so that when the morning sunlight came through the window, it shined through them all. Each one cast a rainbow of its color outward onto the walls and other objects in the room creating a dazzling burst.

Sonii loved it and from time to time added another when she found one that was a color that would enliven what was already there. Sighing as she stopped to admire the shininess of the window, the chirra smiled. Perhaps she'd find another bottle to add today.

"Perhaps..." she murmurred as she walked out the door into the sunlight of a beautiful day.
