ZonkotheSane kingpinsqeezels Hey! Some of those letters are on my dradel. I guess that makes sense, I just wondered what they meant. the letters on the dreidel, nun gimel hay shin, are an acronym for "neis gadol hayah sham (sp)", "a great miracle happened then", referring to the miracle of channukah. that was a fun sugyahthat does make sense ninja yoni you are such a great thing to the guild. i had no idea that the dreidle meant anythigni just thought it wasn an excuse to gamble

You can't leave the house anyway, what have you to lose? :O Well, we could start by teaching the alphabet and stuff. I wrote a few lessons in the Foreign Languages Guild but it's really far from being complete. I suppose it depends on what people want, I mean, some might want to understand biblical Hebrew and some could prefer Modern Hebrew. We could try starting with a simple vocabulary and simple sentences and then complex things a bit.

I like Hebrew For Dummies, and Hebrew in 10 Minutes a Day is good, too (all of the 10 Minutes A Day language books are good).
P.S. Wow, it's been a year since the last post!
