Soreyle .Neko.Lirin. Soreyle I think the Reload VAs are going a good job. Yeah, they SOUND different, but they know how to act. And jeez, there's only been one DVD out so far. Give them some time to get used to their roles. Remember how bad the Gensoumaden VAs were at first? The dude butchered poor Hakkai's character... >>;; 2 dvds... I'm in a part of Canada where we don't get the new releases right away. Excuse me. xp This is why we have the internet and bootlegs *grins

I went on the sunday and they had Vic M. (Koukaiji) but no goku....

I haven't seen Reload yet. I've been getting the Double Barrel edition of Gensoumaden. For those of you who don't know, although there's a pretty good chance you may all know, it's just two dvds being released in one case. So I get volume 1&2 for the price of one. ^^ I only have up to dvd 3 (vol 1-6) and I don't want to start getting Reload until I see all of Gensoumaden.
From what you guys have seen, do you recommend getting Reload?

Of course! Reload, like Gensoumaden, has it great points (and crappy points), and the Kamisama arc (at the end of Reload) is very integral to the plot of the series, and if you miss it... Well, you'll be missing a lot.
As far as the dubs of the two, it's like comparing apples and oranges, really, because each series has different VAs. IMO, neither are really stellar, but they'll do. And of course, the original Japanese is wonderful. :3

From what you guys have seen, do you recommend getting Reload? i have an idea... go to your local gamestop (or eb games) and get it used! they usually have saiyuki there... but on the other hand i don't know if it a mostly western chain? there are tons in California, and a couple in hawaii (it is software etc. there) but I really haven't been anywhere else in the us really... so i don't know

Since we're talking VAs.......
Sanzo's seiyuu Toshihiko Seki also played Duo in GW, among other charas...Hakkai's seiyuu Ishida Akira is also known as Xelloss in Slayers Next and Try. I also know that he and Goku's seiyuu Souichiro Hoshi play in another anime, though I can't remember the name x.x; But from what i've heard, they sound completely different.
As for english VAs, Gojyo's actor also plays in Excel Saga. Lirin's plays Rosette in Chrno Crusade. ^_^
And as far as "the other guy" in PeaceMaker goes, that's Shinpachi. Captain of the second unit. ^^

I love all of the VA's for Gensoumaden. I haven't watched Reload yet
(and I refuse to watch it in English because of how there are different VA's on it) but I'll probably watch it in Japansese. My favorite one would be Greg Ayres because he's got a great voice. Not only in Saiyuki but in DNAngel and everything he does...HE'S AWESOME!

I just got reload the other day (with excess money from chinese new years...) and I actually like most of the voices better. They did a great job on everyone one except Kou. and Doku. Kou is a little TO errogant and Doku is just TO deep. They only did an OK job on goku... he doesn't have as much heart as greg did, but I do judge him harder because he is my favorate. On the positive I absolutely LOVE what they did with Sanzo and Hakkai. Everyone else is also great heart
