Positively Glowing
All a glow...

Morning after the beach adventure Fauste came to visit Sunflash with arotating chime she made with all the shells they had found. However, to Fauste's surprise there was a strange thing happening to Sunflash.

When she saw him he was rolling about on the ground as if trying so very hard to rub something off of his steel gray coat. His mane and tail was a different color and a marking was upon his flank. That wasn't what caught Fauste's attention yet, it was the fact that he was glowing with a strange blue light. Fauste stared for a moment in disbelief. "What's wrong? Don't like it?"

Sunflash stopped and stared at her upside down like, she could read his expression, "No! I look like a freak!"

Fauste frowned a bit and shook her head and wandered over to him, though he recoiled a bit trying to hide himself, "Sunflash...C'mon. You are fine. If anything you're beautiful. It probably isn't permanent."

Sunflash snorted again and began to relax. Fauste slowly settled next to him and offered the chime she made. He seemed to enjoy it. It was very simplistic but it was made with love. He laid next to her and rested his head on her lap, allowing her to sing a song to him as he comfortably snoozed.

"Next time I'll have some special treats for you Sunflash." Fauste murmured as he napped.

Gifts for Sunflash
"For lil' ol' me?!" - Quest 1

Fauste came to Sunflash's rental stall quietly carrying a basket in her arms and a smile on her face. "I'm here!" she announces cheerfully.

Sunflash took one look at her and gave but a single grunt before just looking away seeming rather down. He was still glowing that mysterious blue and he wanted it to go away. He refused to go outside looking like this.

"Oh c'mon, Sunflash, you really don't look that bad."

He glowers at her balefully.

"Really!"

The glower turns into a glare.

"Oh fine, anyways, since you have been so upset...I figured to get some gifts for you!"

This time Sunflash perked up and stood. He wandered over to her and lightly tugged at the covering on the Basket. Fauste just grinned, "Just old on a second!" She pulled away, he went after.

"Hey! You have to promise to be happier from now on." Sunflash stopped at this and gave her a dubious look. What'd he have to be happy about?

"C'mon, promise me and I can give you your gifts."

Sunflash considered this for a moment before nodding. At this Fauste placed down the basket and let him lift the covers away.

Sunflash let out a delighted whinny and began to pull out the items, placing them on the ground and inspecting them as he plopped unto the ground for easier inspection. The hares he seemed to like, especially the one with the fiery wings. He seemed rather taken at the idea of having wings.

He took out his fire charm. He tilted his head at it though not quite understanding the significance though it felt rather warm. He still liked it.

He then looked over the food goods in his basket and seemed rather content. She seemed to know just what to pick for him...

At this he stood and went to Fauste giving her a solid lick upon her cheek.

"Erk! You're welcome...I think."

At that moment Fauste swore she could see him grin, at least that expression was in his eyes.

"Alright alright already... I'll deliver this..."

Said the Seal Girl Unmei as Morgan nagged her from her perch on Unmei's shoulder.

"I can't believe you didn't delivery these before. Shiro asked you to do this like weeks ago, before he went to the camping trip."

Unmei signed as she lugged the bag with the gifts inside.

"Well.. I'm doing ti now.. so you can quite badgering."

Morgan shook her finger at the impatient Seal girl.

"Tisk tisk... you still have more houses to go..."

Unmei sighed, placing the gift at the right house. Then she hicked the bag up and headed off to the next house.

Use No-Glow Scrub!
For that nasty glow that leaves changelings sad.

Fauste came to his rental stall with some cleaning supplies to bathe Sunflash with. She wasn't sure if he'd need it but it couldn't hurt. As she approached the stall however she noted the Plushie from Shiro sitting where she was about to step. She retreated one step and her lips creeped into a gentle grin, "Awww, how adorable!" she exclaimed as she dropped all else with a loud clatter and snatched up the plush, hugging it, "You look just like Sunflash! A handsome devil he is." Fauste wasn't aware that she had shortened his name until moments later and decided she liked it.

After a few moments she opened the stall, Sunflash was already looking at her oddly after hearing her squeal like a happy little teenaged girl over a crush. His look clearly said, "What is wrong with you?"

Fauste showed him the plush and Sunflash tilted his head staring at it. It was a darn good representation of him, and so he nodded his approval. Fauste grinned more and put the plush with the rest of his plushes and them went to get his cleaning supply.

All through last night Fauste was trying to work through what had actually de-glowed Sunflash. It seemed each and every time he touched the bunny with the fiery wings his glow would dim more and more. He liked that bunny so much he wouldn't let it leave his side and thus he slept with it near him. Which Fauste thought it was adorable. Fauste shook her head a bit getting out of her thoughtful state of mind and went to pick up the cleaning things she dropped only to realized they were all in her arms already, "Hah." she muttered and went into the Stall.

Sunflash stared at her, then looked at the cleaning supplies and mildly thought about running...Then again he does so enjoy his mane to be brushed. Fauste seemed thoughtful then waved for Sunflash to follow, which he did. She wandered outside and put down the items in order she'd use them and then got a hose that was already started up, Sunflash was still there dreading the feel of cold water.

Fauste began to spray water unto Sunflash, and much to Sunflash's surprise it was warm and very comfortable and so he began to trot around in the water as Fauste pretty much showered him with it. Fauste hummed a small song as she lifted up her hand and various items began to float into the air and toward Sunflash, showering him in cleaners and scrubbing him gently. Sunflash seemed to be in heaven as his hooves got cleaned and his mane was washed. Soon Sunflash was all clean and the showering stopped. Fauste stopped humming and muttered an incantation, and snapped her fingertips. The next thing Sunflash knew he was dry. He liked this, no more shivering in cold while waiting to dry. Sunflash trotted toward Fauste and nuzzled into her side which almost knocked her over, "Haha! You're welcome." Fauste smiled as she stepped away and picked up various brushes, "Let's get you brushed out."

And so Fauste spent an afternoon pampering Sunflash with a good relaxing cleaning, even cleaning his stall as he napped outside under a shady tree.

What had just happend
A little note dropped off by Shiro's Place

Event

Fauste walked along seeming to balance on an invisible line. An envelope is clutched in her right outstretched hand as she tried not to tip or fall over.

Sunflash followed along beside her watching her somewhat bemusedly, thinking how strange she sometimes can be.

"Not much longer Sunflash, then we can go on an adventure. Hopefully they want to come along." She says cheerfully.

Sunflash whinnied softly and nodded, he was concerned though, what if no one is home?

Fauste seemed to slightly pick up on that, that or her concerns were the same, "No worries, we'll just drop the letter off with a picture and an explanation and hopefully they'll reply when they can."

Sunflash thought that over for a moment before nodding slightly, she at least thought of that.

Once in front of their destination they knocked on the door...No answer.

"Hrm, alright." Fauste muttered and put the envelope where someone exiting or leaving could find it.

"Alright, let's sail!" she called out and turned around and left the way she came, with Sunflash following.

--- Inside the Envelope is a Note ---

The note is nicely written with easy to read and flowy lettering.

Dear Shiro,
I understand it that you have a changeling with a desire to fly. More or less Ceres brought it to my attention as I spoke to her about my Sunflash. She had offered us an adventure to go forth learn how to make Sunflash's dream become a reality. We would love to welcome you, and your two changelings to come with us on this journey, and perhaps get Forest closer to his goal as well. However, if none of you desire to join us then I understand and wish you luck upon whatever you plan to do.

I hope we become good friends,
Fauste.

Attached to the note is a image of a book and a description of the book:

Tells about Pegasus in flight! This book is complete with pictures. Use this book to learn more about wings, air current, and controlling ones flow. There are two tiny sections about man-made flight, and the wind element. This book also seems to guide young foals who dream of flight to the mountains.

Flight: natural, man made, and magic pt. 1
Tonight I will teach you...Quests; 2 & 3

Fauste stumbled along, a pile of books in her arms, a few more floated after her as she approached Sunflash's stall. She was making an effort not to drop everything, grunting lightly as she tried hard not to drop everything. Sunflash was sunning himself outside, it was a beautiful day out today, and it seemed promising that it would be an equally nice night. Mayhap Fauste will moonbathe with him outside. The changeling seemed to be settling in rather nicely by now. Fauste visited regularly enough for him to know that she wasn't going to abandon him.

The falling of several books and cursing snapped him out of his thoughts to where he finally looked toward the half-elf, who was knelt down picking them up and cursing like only a sailor would know how. He watched her amusedly before standing and wandering over picking up some papers and a small book in his mouth. He waited paitently for Fauste to notice him.

When Fauste managed to notice him, she had gathered the books and she managed a sheepish grin and a small shrug, "Ay, today is y'learnin' day." she canted off.

Sunflash looked confused, she had never talked like that before. Fauste read the expression and shrugged a little, "Sorry m'darlin', don't mean to confuse ye." She chortled slightly and stood leaving the books stacked where they where. She dusted off the seat of her pants and looked around again, "Help me get the books and stuff into your stall, then we'll get started." she said, speaking in the way Sunflash was more used to.

Sunflash grunted and helped Fauste move the books and the papers, which seemed to take a while, she had managed to take a bit with her. Most of the books were sketch books illustrating...Wings? He couldn't help but feel a small flutter of excitement. He loved learning, but learning about wings would be extra special. She also had books on arcane matters and matters that didn't seem to exsist on the island, but in a different world. How'd they get here from there? He'd likely never know, or would he? Only time would tell.

She spent sometime organizing, picking and choosing books and pictures. Fauste hummed a bit as she went along. Sunflash watched on, ever curious about just what she was doing and what was going to happen. She seemed so happy. "Just think, soon we'll be on an adventure." Fauste murmured gently as she suddenly stopped humming, "You'll be beautiful Sunflash. No matter what happens, no matter what you choose." Fauste nodded as if assuring herself. It had started to get dark once she picked the books she wanted to use for his lessons.

"Ready to do some learning?" Sunflash tilted his head to the side then nodded. Fauste grinned, "Good." She looked through her selections again, before looking outside, "Let's go outside." This time the pile was smaller, to where she could easily heft it. They wandered out, a moon thick and seemingly heavily pregnant in the sky hung just low enough to provide more than adequate lighting. "Ahh..Excellent." she muttered and settled upon a patch of soft grass near the stall. Sunflash settled near by.

"Now then," Fauste began in an almost matter-of-fact tone shuffling through the materials, "There are many types of wings in the animal world. Even in the world of Myths, or maybe..Not so much myth for us but for those that refuse to..believe?" Sunflash tilted his head, he understood, strangely enough.

"Though I'll begin with the so-called natural animals. There are many sorts of wings, like bird wings. The bird wings have a variety of featherings upon them that help them control air-flow and various other conditions that keep them aloft. Their bodies are specially built for flight, with hallow bones and the way their skeletal structure is all together built. The feathers, tail and wings are more or less used to keep them aloft and to help them navigate."

She turned a page and showed him an example of some wings:

User Image

"As you can see," she continued, indicating various parts of the pictures, "There are different type of wings in birds. Some wings allow for swifter flight while others are more meant for gliding." She pointed at the wings for such matters, "It's just how they were built." She shrugs, "They say angel wings have feathers as well, though obviously they need different builds. I'll show you a pegasus picture soon enough though." Sunflash seemed intrigued by that. "Anyhow, this is a little of what angel wings look like..."

User Image

Fauste kept the used pictures out for further observation as she flipped around until she came unto a section about bats, "Bats have a different build, and they are the only known true flying mammal. They have wings made skin membrane and they actually fly instead of glide. Somehow the membrane and their skeletal structure also keeps them aloft. Probably because of how they capture the wind and manipulate it." Fauste explained. She went a little further in depth, and then showed him a diagram of a bat's wing, along with the image of a bat:

User Image

Sunflash tilted his head as Fauste finished for a moment, seeming to ponder, "I couldn't find any nice dragon pictures, but dragons have a similar wing structure to bats, meaning bone and membrane. Though as some dragons get rather large it is a little harder to imagine how they fly, though they can." Fauste explained the flight of dragons as she knows it, though it seems to boggle Sunflash for a moment before he finally understands.

Fauste nodded a little smiling, "It's all about air and flow control really, I'm sure you'll figure it out when the time comes. At least when you finally have your own set of wings. Even baby birds stumble a little once out of the nest so to speak." Fauste continued to look through her things she felt his gaze and peered up at him, "Don't worry so much, I'll always be there to catch you. I swear it." Sunflash felt strangely comforted...

"Now faerie and insectoid wings come in a large variety, from butterfly to gossamer-dragonfly type wings. You seen those right? Dragonflies?" Sunflash nodded, "Then I won't need to talk about insects much, they sorta gimme the willies." Fauste shudders and Sunflash seemed amused, "Here's a Luna Moth and a set of Faerie wings I like." Fauste pointed out:
User Image

User Image

"It is suspected Faeries keep themselves afloat mostly by magic, as well as pixies and all those others. Though I suspect that air, wind, and all that plays a part too. Something has to be manipulated, like wind magick, but we'll get into that soon enough." Fauste shrugged a bit, "Now that pegasus picture, it has a Faerie in it as well." She pulled it out and showed it to him, "There it is."

User Image

"And this faerie picture cause I think you'd appreciate the colors."

User Image

Which Sunflash did, very much so enjoy the colorings of the last Faerie, and he also adored the pegasus...

"Which wings did you like the best so far?" Fauste asked, Sunflash seemed to think about it a moment, he pointed out the winged section, then to the fiery looking faerie picture, "You like the feathers, but I'm guessin' you liked the coloration of the Faerie?" Fauste inquired, and Sunflash whinnied softly, obviously agreeing.

Flight: natural, man made, and magic pt. 2
Tonight I will teach you...Quests; 2 & 3

Fauste grinned a bit, "Good good. I liked them as well." She commented and put those pictures aside, "Maybe when I teach you about the wind element, magical flight will make much more sense." Fauste said nodding, Sunflash seemed excited, so much learning this night.

"Now, man made flight is different, as humans and the like obviously can't fly. What man basically did was build a few machines. Way early in the history of man, or at least early enough, a person came up with this thing called a: Ornithopter, Not sure how it worked, but it manipulated wind, obviously in such a way that it was supposed to stay in the air. I've never seen it myself except for in pictures and models, like this one."

User Image

"If I had to guess, it mocked the way birds and other animals fly." Fauste said shrugging, anyhow, later others tried to build similar machines but different of course," She showed him a few examples:

"As you can see, they developed, perfected, re-developed, and so forth. At one point they put this thing called an engine in it, which kept it moving forward. The theory was if you run fast enough, and caught enough air you could at least glide through the air. There are other methods of man made flight, like helicopters which lift you up into the air through these things called propellers, and then there are air balloons like this one,"

User Image

"These are pretty much just a bunch of hot air, larger ones, called durigables were popular for a while before one caused a catastrophe upon it's crash." Fauste shook her head, "We won't go into that. Accidents in flight can happen, that is why it is always a good idea to try and keep safe as much as possible." Fauste nodded, "Now that we went over all that you feel prepared?" Sunflash nodded seeming happy. All this flight stuff seemed real interesting, "I left some stuff for you to look at when you want, it'll help you to at least see the pictures and diagrams about how each thing flies." Sunflash snorted a bit, "Yeah, time for a break." Fauste laid out on the ground, Sunflash moved next to her, and they both just relaxed under the soft glow of the moon...

Elemental Magics pt.3
And then you...Mission 1

Fauste and Sunflash moonbathed for what seemed hours in silence. Fauste took hold of the break as a moment to regather her thoughts after the lessons thus far. He was catching on rather quick, and she was proud of him. She would gather his toys and things when she got home. Though, for now she had to worry about the magic lesson. How could she teach something that came natural to her, even if she hardly uses it? She never had to really think of what she was doing, it just sort of happened. Fauste stretched a bit and curled up on her side, Sunflash just peered at Fauste cause of the movement.

Fauste didn't look at him or seem to notice him because she was lost in thought. Sunflash snorted a bit and nudged Fauste in the side which caused her to jump a little. Fauste looked at Sunflash and shrugge slightly sitting up. "I guess I should get started on teaching you this no matter how difficult it may be." Fauste says quietly. She thought to herself that ... Maybe he'd be a natural at it, like her.

Fauste let out a sigh and held out a hand toward Sunflash, and a light pleasant breeze surrounded him for a few moments. The air was still moments before. Sunflash tilted his head, before Fauste responded to the look, "It is my power, I can control one element and my element is Wind. It has been a blessing and a curse for me." Fauste chuckles softly and continued, "Anyhow, I never really had to think about how I use or did it but I guess I am now. It's a good thing." She said as Sunflash looked concerned.

"Now," Fauste began with a sigh, "Ceres asked me to teach and show you my wind element, I hope perhaps you'll get use out of it as well, cause it may help you with your wings." Fauste concentrates a moment and the breeze becomes stronger, and wilder, "If you are not careful this element can go out of control and no longer listen to you, no matter if it is innate or not." Fauste concentrated a moment longer and the breeze calmed, "However, I have to concentrate and exert my will over the wind until it does listen to me. If I use it more often then it won't disobey me at all and I won't have to concentrate as much." Fauste smirks softly and thinks for a moment, and all the wind stops and the air is still.

"I can do many other things with this element, all it takes is practice and control." She chuckles softly, "And paitence. Now, Sunflash concentrate, think of wind, think of air. Isn't it boring that it's just sitting there? Make it move around..."

Sunflash looked confused then began to concentrate, he felt like it wouldn't work for a moment, he almost gave up. Though he just concentrated harder, imagined the breeze as it flowed over his coat and through his mane...Like flying perhaps? He wasn't sure, but that's what he imagined it felt like. Fauste watched him quietly, looking intense and very serious.

...
...
...
...A light breeze fills the air, because of Sunflash's efforts...

Fauste grinned and cheered, "You did it!" she called out. Sunflash peered at Fauste as if asking "How are you sure?" Fauste chuckles, reading the thought on his face, "I made sure no other wind would interrupt us while we did this lesson."

Sunflash got up and whinnied, then concentrated a bit more and the wind became stronger. She was right! He jumped excitedly in the air as the wind swirled around him, he felt like flying he wanted to fly. He galloped around Fauste fast, trying to keep up with the wind he created but it always seemed a little faster than him. Fauste grins a little, "Keep it up, you did it, together we will control the wind."

For the rest of the night they practiced and played with the wind element. The wind element was only happy that it was working with two kind beings. At the crack of morning, Fauste left for home after tucking in Sunflash, promising to be back with some special toys and books just for him. Sunflash hardly was able to fall asleep with all the excitement that was filling him.

.Star Guitar.
...You can feel what I feel...

Fauste wandered up toward Sunflash's stall, humming a small song. In her left arm she carried a bucket filled with various goods, well, actually meals for the day. Sunflash was sitting outside watching a butterfly with vibrant orange wings flutter back and forth before him and occassionally the butterfly would perch upon his nose or nestle into his mane making itself look ornimental. "I see you have yourself a friend, Sunflash."

Sunflash grunted, he didn't want to admit it, but he liked the butterfly. He stood up and gave Fauste a slightly more cheerful greeting nuzzle. The butterfly flew up and landed on Fauste's hat. "Hi to you too, lovely butterfly." Fauste chimmed out happily. The butterfly merely pumped it's wings before taking off for places unknown.

After a moment Fauste noticed Sunflash staring at a shock of violet hair hanging out from her hat, "Oh, that." Fauste began sheepishly, "I dunno what happened. I sorta woke up like that. I think Masika dyed my hair or something while I slept. I like it like this for now though." Sunflash grunted again, unsure what to make of that change.

"Oh, never you mind." Fauste sighed shrugging, "Anyways we are going on an outing."

Sunflash stood stock still, last time they went on an "outing" he turned into a glowing freak.

"Nothing like that'll happen to you again....I think." Fauste looked up and shrugged, "Maybe if it -does- happen it'll be a more gentle glow rather than what had happened to you. You know, like a natural glow or something. Anyways, today it's fruit, not seashells. It was suggested we go to this special tree. Maybe we can get something new from it."

Sunflash relaxed...a little. Fruits don't tend to turn changelings into glowing radioactive freaks. After a moment he started to like the idea more and more.

"Alright, I see you're itching to go." Fauste chuckled. Sunflash whinnied loudly and pranced around her happily. Fauste hefted the bucket, but as she began to do so, Sunflash took one side of it and began to help her carry it, practically leading her.

"Do you even know where the tree is?" Fauste peered at Sunflash, the foal slowed a moment, he sorta did. Fauste smirked lightly at him and shrugged, "I have directions. Don't worry, c'mon." Fauste remarked as she now lead him off toward their destination..

It was a slightly long walk there. They stopped a couple of times to eat the meals she had prepared and to rest. Fauste taught him a little more about the wind element, drilling him through exercises of the magicks involved of the element.

"You can use wind to lift things too. Some people confuse it with the power of mind but no one really pays attention I guess. The idea is to put force just under the object you want to lift, failing that just have the wind surround the object."

Sunflash thought on it a moment, and then attempted the trick on the bucket Fauste brought. The bucked heaved and wobbled a little before hefting up an inch or two before Sunflash was forced to drop it because of the strain of constration it took, "Don't worry you'll get it." Fauste said with a shrug, "I couldn't do it for a while either. Then it got easy one day." Sunflash felt a little better, though not much.

After a few moments practicing they continued on their way. It was about late afternoon by the time they got to the tree. Fauste adjusted her hat and looked around, "This seems to be the place." Sunflash stood a step behind her seeming unsure of himself, "Silly Foal." Fauste commented as she stepped forward, "Now then, what're we to do here?" Fauste asked, thinking to herself. Sunflash looked around, the tree obviously bore fruit but it seemed any time he looked upon certain ones his eyes felt repelled, like he shouldn't even have seen them. Fauste wasn't seeming to look at all. He nudged her on the back, sort of wishing he could communicate better with her for a moment. Fauste let out a squeak and peered at him before nodding, "Right, sorry lost in thought. Let's look for a fruit meant just for you." Fauste stretched and began to wander around the tree. Sunflash followed feeling slightly silly.

After a few moments, Sunflash seemed to sense something. He wandered away from Fauste toward what seemed to be calling him, until THUMP. A strange fruit almost fell upon his head. He blinked and bowed his head down to stare at it curiously, "What's this?" He carefully picked up the strage fruit by the stem and took it to Fauste. Who took it in hand and looked it over.

User Image

"My, it certainly is warm, like you...And a breeze...I can feel it roaming around within the skin of the fruit. How interesting." Fauste muttered as she looked it over, "Two elements in one? No it couldn't be, could it? It is true that sometimes wind fans flames, at least it isn't water and fire that would be contridictory." Fauste muttered even more, mostly to herself. Going through what she had learned from other elementalists.

She nodded at Sunflash and grinned, "This seems to be the fruit for you though. The way it is marked, it reminds me of the sun." Sunflash whinnied happily, seeming to agree.

"So what do we do now?" Fauste asked, Sunflash seemed dumbfounded by that question, his first choice was to eat it.

"Do you eat this sorta thing?" Fauste mused for a moment and shrugged. Before Fauste knew what happened suddenly Sunflash was charging at her, she yelped dropping the fruit. Though the fruit never hit the ground as Sunflash caught it running past her.

"RASCAL!" Fauste called after him, but Sunflash continued to run, until he was a small distance away, he put the fruit on the ground and stared at it. After a few moments he just licked it, picked it back up and trotted toward Fauste. It tasted far too bitter to eat yet.

"Oi, ready to go home?" Sunflash whinnied and nodded. After a final look around they turned and headed home, almost forgetting the bucket there...That is until Fauste ran back to get it.

They got back during the late night Hours. Though neither of them could quite sleep, staying up the night and into the day just spending time together..

Hunger Strikes
Shoulda packed more -.-U

Fauste and Sunflash continued their way home. Fauste was engrossed with studying the fruit, but little does she know that Sunflash was growing increasingly more interested. He sometimes bumped into her trying to get at it as he was starting to get hungry. Fauste didn't pack enough for two trips. Apparently she didn't think they would take so long to get there, that or she didn't think they'd rest so much in between.

After a few moments he realized Fauste has been lost in thought a lot lately, something was going to come soon. He felt frightened for a moment, and a part wanted to believe she would leave and forget him. He suddenly stopped and stampped a hoof down staring at her almost as if insulted.

"Wha?" Fauste muttered looking at him. Sunflash just stared at her, his eyes almost sad, afraid. "What is it Sunflash? You hungry? Thirsty? Tired?" Fauste fround and looked the fruit over in her hand.

He snorted a bit trying to calm himself down, no of course she wasn't leaving, she was here to stay. His body relaxed a little and he trodded closer to her and nestled his muzzle up under the hand with the bucket, causing her hand to release it just enough for him to grab it. He continued to walk, doing so the hand unconciously pet the mane and stopped upon the midst of his back. Fauste smiled lightly still holding the fruit, "I'm here for you." Fauste muttered gently to him.

As if on que, her stomach gargled, alerting her to it's needs. She blushed and Sunflash peered toward her stomach, "Yeah, I guess I should have packed more." Fauste shrugged lightly and thought for a moment, "Think it's ready to eat?" She held up the fruit. Sunflash nodded, it was ready he could smell it. It was becoming ripe after it fell from it's branch.

"Think so?" She asked and shrugged, "I'll take a bite, it'll keep me good until we get back, you can have the rest." Fauste smiled a bit and took a bite of the apple and munched on it contently giving the rest to Sunflash, both of them moving off to the side where they were covered from harms way. They settled down next to eachother munching at the fruit and in unison they both swallowed down the very last piece of their respective fruit.

Fauste went pale for a moment her eyes wide, Sunflash was pretty much in a state of shock all his own. So many things exchanging between them it was almost simutanious. After a few moment Fauste couldn't take it anymore and when she tried to shut it out and contain it one by one, she fainted. Sunflash fainted right next to her...

'Oly Carp!
Didn't know fruit was that potent..

Fauste was deep asleep, at least for the most part. She was starting to come to, and likely thinking she was at home in her comfy bed. That's what she'd like to think until suddenly a blinding shock of highly volitile yellow flickered on and off in her head several time causing her to jerk awake.

"Ahh! What the? This isn't home." She looked around again. The flash of god forsaken yellow went off again and Fauste clutched her head, "Sunflash, someone seriously needs to wash your mind out with soa---Wait..Sunflash?" she looked around and didn't see him. More yellow flashes by. She stumbled up, "Sunflash! Where are you!?"

After a moment the image of him somewhere near by staring into a pond flashed into Fauste's mind, but he looked totally different. Then images of his glowing self and a frowning child's face flash into her mind.

Fauste sighed a bit and searched a while trying to find Sunflash, she communicated back to him within her mind, basically scolding him for leaving her like that.

After a moment she found him and approached him shaking her head, "You shouldn't curse like that. It's not becoming." She touched his mane and admired the color. "And besides, this suits you, a lot."

Sunflash looked at her for a moment confused, than the flash of his glowing phase entered her mind followed by a questioning look.

"Of course that looked nice on you too, but you wouldn't listen to me. This, however, looks fantastic on you."

Sunflash seemed to calm down. Then the image of food entered her mind, "Yeah, me too." Fauste sighed and rubbed her stomach, "We're almost home."

Sunflash tilted his head and seemed to carry himself with a bit more confidence. There was a soft shimmering color of violet filling her mind.

"Starting to like the change?" Fauste asked. Sunflash nodded and moved behind her and nudged her back toward the path home.

"Alright, alright. Let's go. I know you're starving."

Fauste and Sunflash wandered home trying out the length of their new found communication.

Things and Stuff
Uh oh.

Fauste stayed the rest of the day with Sunflash after they got home from their little trip with the fruit tree. She yet again cleaned him up and combed him out. She made a couple of little braids in his mane and tail, tying them off with some fiery red feathers she had found on their way home.

Sunflash at first voiced his concerns afraid he'd look more like a "girl" rather than a "boy".

"No, I'm making sure you retain your dignity." Fauste grinned and giggled a little, "I promise." He turned his head and stared at her quietly, in a very unamused sort of way. Fauste just beamed a smile at Sunflash and patted him, "You'll look fine. When I'm done and if you don't like it then I'll undo it okay? It's not like I'm doing the whole mane and tail." She showed him the tiny miniscule braids, he had to admit it looked pretty good and allowed her to continue on.

"There you are." she sighed out after finishing and brushing out his coat a bit more, "Beautiful."

Sunflash was starting to get used to the pampering and his over all new look, he was starting to rather like it. "Yep, you're a magnificent looking." Fauste grinned. "Maybe the black'll settle out a bit more, who knows."

Fauste thought for a moment, "I'm gonna go home and clean up and get some surprises ready for you. I think soon I'll have a stall for you closer to my home." A feeling of excitement washed over her, it was like imagry of multi-colors flashed in her gaze. She nodded, "I'm excited about it too."

However, the excitement wouldn't go down, soon the ground under around Fauste and Sunflash began to smoke. The smoke then burst into flame. By the time Fauste was aware of it she couldn't even step over it safely. The excitement turned to panic.

"Sunflash! I think you did this, try and extinguish it, I know you can do it. Just calm down!"

Sunflash whinnied and pranced worriedly for a few moments, however, Fauste's voice seemed to break some sense into him and he tried to calm down and concentrate, until the flames lowered, "Remember the wind lessons Sunflash." Fauste coaxed, "You can apply the same ideas to fire."

Sunflash finally got the flames to go out. He reared up a bit, happily.

"Seems that fruit did more than we thought it did." Fauste grinned lightly, "Wonder if your wind powers improved." As Fauste commented suddenly Sunflash was concentrating and they were surrounded by wind levitated items, such as brushes and cleaning supplies and a few toys, "Wow, you're something else. I guess I should gather you some more surprises." She gently petted his muzzle and he gently released the wind element, "I'll show you more tricks too when I return." She went into her pocket and gave him a couple of food-treats and filled his food stuffs again before leaving. Though she stopped, "Wanna come with Sunflash?"

This seemed to make him happier, "Though no peeking at your surprises." she was stern, and the sterness prompted him to listen to her.

Together they left for her home to gather some other things and for Fauste to get cleaned up...

Shiro whipped his forhead as he walked toward Fauste, the whipe motion making a red smear across his forhead. Baywater came up happly behind Shiro, a paint brush in her mouth and a few red paint smears here and there. Forest finally came up from behind, grumpy, being the result of baywater getting to excited.

"Well... it took a while, be we got it up and painted and everything. We even put Sunflash's toys on the shelves once they were dry."

Shiro whiped his forhead again making a grey smudge across his nose. There were others, obviously from the same process.
"Anything else you need?"

After wandering up and greeting Shiro she shook her head. SHe peered around for Sunflash so he doesn't suspect anything, "No nothing else. Thank you so much. I'll pay you soon. Glad you could set up this surprise with me. I'll pay you as soon as the banker stops being so stubborn."

She beamed a bit, "Sunflash doesn't suspect a thing. Especially after a trip we took tonight." It was true, she held a figurine in her hands.

"Wow, Congrats."

He patted his pocket where his avaling sat, he smiled.

"Soon you'll have a little one running around the house. And I hope Sunflash enjoys the stable. Bay had way to much fun painting, So ignore the red splotches that dried on the ground under the hay. But everything is dry now, so he can move in when ever he wants to."

Baywater nodded her head, small bit of red paint got flung here and there. Not much, but little speckles of red. Forest stayed far away from her. Shiro looked over and grabbed the brush from her mouth.

"Give... Silly Filly. She get's over excited sometimes.. no paint for you."

He glared at Bay but she could stay pouting for long, she was to happy to help another owner.

"I hope he likes it. It was fun to make."

"For you maybe... I'm wearing most of it..."

Forest gumbled low enough that no one could really hear him anyway. Shiro helfted his tool box and gave Fauste a wave.

"I must be getting home. We need to get cleaned up a bit. If you need anything give me a buzz. And pay me when you can, no rush."

He grinned and started headed home. Baywater and Forest filed behind him, eager to get home and get the paint off, or alteast Forest was.
