Most of my family are wrestlers I just don't care for how schools do things I am more into the killing ideas of combat. I think its about being able to efectivly kill a person more than just trying to keep them from hurting you. I am more of a military minded person than a civilian defence kind of guy.

I may be a tad bit twisted but I want to learn to kill fast not just hold some one so they can't move or whatever that comes with it most of the time any way. Most wrestling schools around don't teach the things they used to. I never have cared much for most sports based martial arts.

I'm the same way. I mean, I like to know how to fight in a street or recreational fight as well... but it's good to know how to take someone out if you need to.

This is the reason I like to keep my shooting skills up to snuff. This is also the reason why I don't own any cheap wallhanger swords. If I'm going to buy an implement of death, it's going to be fully functional. And fully functional implements of death are expensive. So far all I own is a smallsword my dad made. (It is not crappy... it's high-quality steel with an All Star french hilt.)

Merlin, is that Levi that you were dueling there? If so, does he have any bokens or training weapons that he can bring to the club?
I'm really interested in sparring and practicing with more people. I'm sure that there is a lot that we can all learn from eachother. I'm also going to try and arrange for a group hang-out at my place, it will take some time to plan out and will only be possible after seeing everyone again at the club.
The more duels that I get involved in before my mentor visits again, the more I'll be able to show him; I'm sure that he is practicing as well. To date out of my opponents i've only had three people go move for move with me, you were one of them, Joe (i think that was his name) was another [the person I was dueling in the hallway outside the club room]. Chris, my mentor is the other. I'd like to add people to that list, that way i'll be able to find more entertainment because i'll have more people to spar with. Chris' bro is quick on his feet, yet he lacks the coordination and skill to wield a weapon effectively. My brother is just an idiot and would probably charge into my kendo stick if given the chance to, and Bill is just an amateur. He has some potential, but that is about it. Due to our monetary situation i haven't had the chance to go back to the martial atrs school that I originally went to.

Thats cool your whole family is in Wing Chun.
My husband does mma actually, but he used to take Shaolin Longfist so her entered a kung fu tournament with the family. It's fun to have the whole family competing.
