"An elf, yes," Aurora answered quickly with a note of proudness in her voice. She had always had a sense of pride being an elf, something instilled in her by her parents and thier parents and so on. Aurora put her paw down slowly and relaxed a little. "You where a human or elf, too?" she asked softly. All the while, in the back of her mind, she was wondering why she was suddenly so overly shy.

"Yeah, a half-elf," he said, scratching the ground with a forepaw slightly, "My name's Raerin. I'd shake but, heh..."

A question occurred to Aurora; can animals actually smile? She wasn't sure but she tried to smile a little. She felt the corners of her mouth twitch but then she stopped thinking it would look like she was baring her teeth. "Nice to meet Raerin. I'm Aurora," she said and sat down sweeping her bushy tail to cover hind feet.

"Snice the explosion? I guess I can say the same," Aurora said trying to recall what happened but her memory was still a little fuzzy.

"I don't know,but obivously there must have been some kind of radiation," Autotra said looking around. The breeze picked up slightly and she though she could smell somthing else but ignored it and continued talking. "I don't know I was over by my sister's apratment walking her dog. Her dog began freaking out and spliiped out of her collar and ran and thats when Ithink it hit me. I can remeber feeling pain like never before and then about ago or mabe less I woke up."

Aurora went selient as she couldn't think of anything else to say. Thinking about her family hadn't even occured to her until just now that Raerin had mentioned his family. Yet she was brought back out of thinking when she felt ehr stomach give a grumble. "Oh yeah, I haven't eaten in a couple days now," she muttered at the sudden realization.
((If there are a lot of typos I'm really sorry. I've start school again and suffering for lack of sleep. stare ))

Aurora sniffed the air once again. There was defiantly something strange smelling somewhere nearby btu she wasn't to keen on finding out what it could be. "A house would have food wouldn't it," Aurora said trying to remember if there were any houses near to where they currently where. "I think all the houses are more on the outskirts of the city, as far as I can tell we are fairly central. Maybe I can find my way back to my sister's apartment," she said as standing up.

"I read once somewhere most dogs can find a place they consider home from even long ways off," he said, recalling something from one day he'd read a newspaper. "I'm pretty sure one dog found his way over some twenty miles back home..."

"Well I guess I can find my then," Aurora said and she began trying to find any familiar scents. "I think it's this way," she said looking back over her shoulder and nodding her head. "You might as well come with me. If you go back to the hotel there most likely will be a lot of competition and other hunger creatures," she said turning around and began to stroll down the road.

"Yeah, I already found that out," he said, a paw half-indicating a scar over his left eye. "I hardly got out of there alive, a lot of people aren't, well, people anymore."

Aurora turned back to look at him. "I guess I've been rather lucky then," she said and resumed walking slowly waiting for Raerin.
