"Let's keep walking and see if we can find a way up." She sound trying to sound optomistic.
*As they walked, Shalen studied the wall, she didn't wan to turn aroudn and go back home she wanted to do this for herself more than anything and giving up wasn't part of the plan. As she studued the wall out of the corner of her eye she saw something dark. When she turned to look she saw a horse and a man standing close to it. As she looked closer she saw another person. She stopped not sure if she should approach or not, but she needed to find a way around the wall.*

Gray stared blankly at the odd man for a moment, then carefully dismounted his horse. "I have many blankets. I might be able to spare some if the town is not far from teh top of this cliff. I might even be able to give up my horse." His mnd did pass over his precious violin, but he would never give it up.

"Your horse will do nicely. I know a man by the name of Glade that will gladly trade me food for your horse. Besides, what lies above is something no animal should suffer unwillingly. You yourself will have a hard time crossing this Gray, but you will survive longer then your companion."

Gray pulled off his personal supplies from the horse, shouldering what he could and dropping the rest in the snow next to the man. "Take the rest, I'm sure you get mighty cold out here and I don't need all of these blankets."

"They will do nicely in covering the horse more. Terrible thing when an animal gets cold. I will leave the next day to deliever the horse." As he covers the horse up in more blankets, he starts to shine a little.

A tunnel reveals itself in the wall seconds after the man moves, it looks well lit by torchs. An exchange for the way up

Gray took a moment to take in the scene before him, marveling at the magnificence of the power the man apparently had. Gray had heard tales of wonderous events such as this, mostly spoken between some of the eldest of the musicions he once traveled with. Pulling the cloak tighter and with a final deep breath, Gray ventured into the cave.

*Shalen pulled her coat closer around her. She couldn't believe what she had seen, but it was the only sure way through the wall. She would talk to the man.*
"Hello there sir! I wish to find a way through this wall. May I ask some assistance form you?" She said politely and trying to still seem opptomistic.

"There is a way through here, but you have to give up something of value to you in order to pass. That fine gentleman gave me his horse, and im willing to do the same for you as a trade." said the man bundled in blankets.

"I have only two things on me of value, one of them is this horse, the other is my convent uniform. Will the horse die if I take her any farther than this wall?"

"It is hard to tell by looking at such a horse. You will need alot of stamina for an animal to cross what lies ahead. I would recommed trading the horse, for there is a ladder one must climb inside of thie wall, and the last time I checked horses could not." The man smiled warmly knowing that it would have to be her obvious choice.

*Shalen lowered her head. It saddened her to have to leave the horse, seeing that it was the first pet she really ever had. She so loved animals, but was never allowed to have one of her own, but she knew from what she had seen that the man spoke the truth from as far as she could tell, and bring the horse would only hinder her and kill the animal. She sighed and lowered herself down, grabbing a small handful of dried goods from her pack and cupping them under the Pepper's mouth. She ate them gladly and even licked the crumbs from Shalen's hand. She patted the horse down with her slightly slimy hand and began to take what little supplies she had left down from the horse and put as much in her pack as she could, and then strapped the rest to the outside. Her pack would be heavy, but she was used to carrying such weight since having the carry buckets of water from once end of the convent to the other.*
*She gave Papper one last pat and then gave the reigns to the man.*
"please take good care of her, she really is a good horse. I named her Pepper and she seems to answer to it." She said feeling regret at the loss of her first pet.

The man chuckled a bit. "Pepper you say, that will be a great thing to know once I trade her to Glade. Ah that man loves horses he does. Anyway, I shall grant you passage up to Tunk. It would be better to travel in a pack of two then by yourself young lady, so I would recommend trying to convince the gentleman ahead to party up with you." As soon as he stopped talking, the hole appeared for Shalen to walk through.

*A giant sweet drop formed on Shalen's head.*
"Glade you say. Huh! Well tell him from me that you didn't steal the horse from me. He might get a little upset if sees that horse with you and not with me." She said, the last part as a small chuckle.
Atleast I worked for the anaimal, now I don't feel so bad that Glade will be buying back pepper.
*She then looked to the hole in the wall, it looks much bigger now, than when the other man passed through it. She assumed because she was so far away, or was the other man really tall? She shrugged this off and bowed to the man and walked through.
