rofl I got out my wedding dress recently, I forget why, but I spread out the train for Jade, and she really liked it! I told her she could wear it when she got married IF she wanted to. I also tracked down my crinoline skirt to lend to a friend of my sister's, but I didn't find it until after she'd bought one herself, and they were going to see about returning it and borrowing mine, but I guess not because the wedding was yesterday and my skirt's still in the guest room!

There used to be a red button link on the gaiaonline main front page.. confused Oh there! The nice Contribute link at the top menu, far right. You can do it through paypal (and I think other ways, I'm not sure, as I've only done paypal) and it's $2.50 per letter. If it's something I really want/like, I'll donate $10 and get 4 letters. 3nodding I s'pose I should look into just getting 2 letters though..

and i do appreciate it too..you just dont know how much..things arent looking good here...so i will have to stake out the market place for a few extras....hates holidays cause they mess us up big time stare

confused I'm really bad at coming up with descriptions.. i'm not sure exactly what sort of description you're aiming for, and actually, I never even READ the descriptions when I'm voting in the avi arena (although I think it's EternalHearts? who always does?) so maybe she'd know what makes a good desc in there and what doesn't. (Although the ONE description I happened to glance at which said "Vvvvvvvooooooooootttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeee ffffffffffffffffffoooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" got really poor marks from me. rofl

You're right fauN! How do you remember al thist stuff?

Anyway, what I look for in a description is intelligent grammar and spelling (at least TRY!) as well as a reason for the av you designed. A story is great, but can so easily be too long or nonsensical that it ruins the whole thing.

Basically, if you have a premise for the av ('My name, as you can see, is Sweet RainbowSkittles. Rainbows are awesome and skittles even moreso, leading me to design a whole avatar around these two favortite items') and type like a human being, you'll get points from me for that alone. For me, the avatar in many cases is secondary to the description.

How do you all tend to vote in the avi arena, I'm curious? I know everyone's tastes and voting styles are different.. Me, I'll vote 9 or 10 for a really superb impressive avi, 8 for a really good one, and 6 or 7 for ones I like. If I don't like or dislike it, and it's a sort of "I don't care either way" feeling, it gets a 5 (more avis than not get 5's), but if I dislike it for any reason, I'll give it a 4, or a 3, 2, or even 1 for really horrid or clashing or newbie looking avis that I can't believe they entered! If it makes me laugh I'll give it an 8 usually.

no maam..if you click it..it is linked to a friends avi in the avi arena...i normally support her when she goes in the arena..which is usually every week...lol... rofl ....and she has done something that only one other person has done IMHO...she made a great outfit using the halo...which is very hard considering there isnt enough stuff on gaia to complement it confused
