His opponant was smart, he would give him that. But not smart enough. Just like the cells that made up the man's body kane's body re-produced by splitting. The fact that he broke apart made no difference, they all would go to the same spot. The slime would heat up, but not to the extent of evaporization.
The faults caused little problems for Kane, as the balls of slime could act seperatly, with their own minds linked to the single ball which housed Kane's brain (nucleus).

Thaddeus was not quite finished yet. He was to figure out what he had been thinking about for awhile now. Kane moved by "sliding", could morph shape, was able to absorb anything, was made out of a slime like substance, and even had its own visible brain. Out of all of this, Thaddeus figured that Kane was nothing more than a giant amoeba, an animal-like protist, which is a unicellular organism. Now, how does one ensure the death of a cell? Natural processes, particularly, homeostasis.

The faults would close up on their own, as the warhammer only had a temporary effect. However, there was still the matter of what was in Thaddeus' hand...the flask. It was glowing blue, and ocean water appeared blue, did it not? The flask would pour a seemingly infinite amount of water from itself, coming out like a geyser. It would not be any water, but SEA water. How would this matter? Let's take a look.

First, there is the current of the water. When the water splashes down to fil the arena, it goes in all sorts of directions in order to fill it. The force of a geyser is tremendous, and so would the current of the pool of water as long as the constant faucet pouring style was in effect. The main thing it would do is prevent the stray pieces from meeting each other. Even though it could move through its psuedopods, the force of the waves from the sea water would be too great.

Second, and most important, is the solute/solvent concentration of both organisms. But even before that, there's Kane's outer covering. What was it? It had to be a phospholipid membrane, lest the opponent would fall apart. It couldn't be a cell wall, otherwise it wouldn't be able to make its rapid movements. But back to the topic. The solute/solvent concentration in the water would be pretty much guarenteed to be VERY different. Most of it would be water, of course. Now, how it would work: If there was more water in Kane's individual split-up parts than in the pool, then more solutes from the water would enter? This would leave all of Kane to shrivel up. If there was more solutes in Kane than the water, however, each individual supercell would expand until it would burst. And nothing could stop this, as it was a natural process that all living organisms abide to.

The water would proceed to fill up the arena within seconds once spouting from the flask. Even though it wouldn't cover all of Kane "yet", his bottom would still be unprotected, causing osmosis to take place. No matter what, Kane would pretty much be over and done with as the pool would get bigger and bigger. The supercells themselves would get covered easily as well.

Oh, and what would be Kane's nucleus also consists of a phospholipid bilayer...if it would burst, the DNA would be left for the lysosomes to destroy immediately, as they were technically foreign invaders.

(One, nice use of science to completly ******** me over)

Kane's main body. Began to morph, the other balls also morphed slightly. The water would push he light slime balls to the surface, and against the walls. Kane had assumed that if he could get out of the water, he still had a chance. Each ball morphed into small 'links', but not chain links. They were small plastic links, that would hopefully float.

As the water began to fill, Kane's links hit the walls. Each time on collided with another, they mophed together.
The opening in the earth, which spewed lava created steam (because water and heat do that.) as the water barreled over them.
Link connections of 3 or 4 began to float around, being tossed against the wall. As they got pressed against the wall, they took on yet another form.
This time an animal. A sea-snail to be precise. The snails connected to the wall, holding against it tightly.

Kane's main body had reached five other links, which would be just enough to create a small bird. The snail (it had tunred into a snail, like the rest) fell from the wall, but before it hit the water it changed into a small bird (chikadee) and flew over the water.
His body was weak in this state, he was to spread out. His first 'goal' would be to find the rest of himself. Or, absorb other things.

His hovered for a second when he thought of absorbing something. His body was capable of eating awaysubstances, and in essence, morph it into more of his slime.
The bird darted towards the man holding the chalice. He could absorb the salt in the water, but not only would that take far to long to seperate it from the water, it would require a large surface. He aimed for the man's "wings". If he could make the man fall into the water.

The bird darted towards the wings. Three other birds also joined in. The birds must have also obtained enough to change. And, it would be better that he had more substance in case of something going wrong.

The question at this point was moreso "Did they last long enough before being totally deflated or burst?" It merely depended on the solute/solvent ratio that each of the cytoplasmic "slime" balls contained. Even though they were on the surface, half of their plasma membrane would still be underwater, meaning there'd be enough time for osmosis to occur. The question is, how much in that time? All depended on the concentration, particularly for the main body that contained the nucleus, which would be fully submerged for the longest time, thus had a higher chance of being directly affected by osmosis.

That does not mean that Thaddeus and his owl would stop watching. On the contrary, the owl would be observing every move as Thaddeus focused on the water. The owl would be particularly alerted once the birds had started to form. Yet, it would be more than enough time for Thaddeus, whom the owl had noted about the attack, to take care of it. "Oh great Ares, protect me with your weapons!" Thaddeus would then be surrounded by a sphere of diamond tipped arrows. Once the birds would be close enough to Thaddeus, he'd let them fly towards his now multiple enemies. This was to do two things:

1. The sheer force of the arrows would be able to penetrate through the slime and effectively cut the wings of Kane, causing him to fall into what would be a watery grave. The speed which the arrows would pass would most likely be too fast for Kane to fully absorb. Plus, with how many arrows that would be let loose from the chant, Kane would probably be too small to absorb them.

2. Second, and most important, would be damage to the nucleus. With the sheer number of arrows used, the probability that the nucleus would be hit, and effectively split, would be extremely high. Once split, the DNA, if not already chopped up, would be disentigrated by lysosomes, effectively killing Kane.

If they would still be in the air, Thaddeus would direct his water geyser towards the bird(s) in question, hopefully moving at a fast enough pace to hit them all and knock them out in the water.
