The action scenes aren't as impacting when the Gundams are portrayed SD...

I wish I knew what Heero said, though.

Well, the game series uses SD because of size differences. You've got robots ranging from six meters tall (Aura Battler Dunbine) to 1000 meters tall (the SDF Macross); if you used full-size representations, things would get pretty odd pretty fast...that, and how would one accept that the little guys could ever damage the big ones?

And most of Heero's comments are fairly standard. The big long one he says a few times is his "The more we fight, the more we create a need for soldiers like ourselves!" line from EW.

I thought they used SD form was becuase of copyright issues.

That too, because apparently Bandai charges a lot of money for full-sized versions of their mecha to appear in games. That's why there's so many SD Gundam games.

OP for the Italian version of Wing. A completely original song, not too bad sounding, but the pseudo-Engrish lyrics are sort of odd.

Here's another couple of odd ones...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bo3yu7jk4pY (1:06)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzJASgQpN7E (1:11)

These are videos for Sunrise Eiyuutan (Legend of the Sunrise Heroes), a series that is like Super Robot Wars, but isn't limited to giant robot shows; for example, Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors) and Cowboy Bebop have shown up alongside Gundam, Gaogaigar, and other such shows.

Now, the important thing...at the time mark listed for each video, you can see a new, game-exclusive MS that Heero gets - upgrades/mods to Wing Zero, it seems.

Sunrise removed both of these due to copyright infringement.

Probably not; they've really been cracking down on copyright violations. The Toonami Digital Arsenal has both openings downloadable, but in Quicktime format.

Ain't that the truth. I got an account deleted because of the copyrights. Deleted without proper warning too.

Let me guess, they took down several videos all at once, then closed the account before you could do anything? They did that with a friend of mine.

That's pretty much the full story.

Hey, remember a while ago when I showed off images from a really cool 3D mecha game, and mentioned that it let you re-create the famous duel from EW? Well...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b6MpbLQM8s

As a note, tho: The first part of that stage deals with enemies from the anime Metal Armor Dragonar, with your character being ordered to destroy three enemy battleships before they can enter Earth's atmosphere. After that, Wu Fei appears. Even if you're not familiar with Dragonar, feel free to enjoy the first part as a beautiful showcase of Wing Zero fighting in full 3D.

Also, I should warn you that this guy doesn't fight fair, and uses the twin buster rifle when he fights Wu Fei, which makes the stage really short. Also, if you turn the difficulty all the way up, Woofie fights a lot harder. If I get the chance someday, I may record a video like that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQXDVhjrqfY

Another person playing that same stage; he also uses Heero, but with Trowa and Quatre backing him up. On the other hand, he doesn't smoke Wu Fei's booty in thirty seconds...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MluEfZeCh2M

This video uses Heavyarms (with Deathscythe and Sandrock as teammates) to attack a giant military tower that extends almost to space. This guy does alright, but Duo gets shot down which means you don't get to see the triple-team attack.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhGtu1RMcSw

This is the stage where you actually get Duo, Trowa, and Quatre on your team. The guy uses the ReGZ from Char's Counterattack, but I figure the first 30 seconds or so ought to put a smile on y'all's faces...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eThXnbr20U4

This is the stage where Heero first appears. It's heavily based off of Dragonar, but it's worth noting that the bad guy has kidnapped VFM Darlian and expects to get away with it; obviously, he didn't watch the TV series, did he?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOr_T3_5eAw

...And this is the stage where Zechs first appears. It's also as close as we get to the Brussels battle from EW in this game. Oh, and you'll actually get to see the launch sequence for Heavyarms Custom, as well as Heero and Trowa's double-team.
